"PLUMBING ISSUES & SLOW SERVICE. The building looks lovely, newly renovated and in a great location. It is walking distance to most attractions. The staff were friendly, however I did have to ask multiple times for things before they were done (e.g., asking for an iron to be sent to the room, filling up empty toiletries). The toilet water turned brown 30 minutes after flushing which indicates a plumbing issue and is unsanitary. The rest of the room was clean. And they granted our request of having our 2 rooms next to each other. Overall a 3.5-4 star hotel due to the toilet and slow service."

"A compact hotel, centrally located and very convenient for transport. It has a bit of a Japanese hotel vibe. However, the space was incredibly cramped; there was nowhere to put my groceries or luggage! On the bright side, it was quite clean, and the color scheme and aesthetics were excellent. You could say it's small but perfectly formed, boasting a strong industrial design aesthetic. The overall ambiance had a distinct former Soviet bloc feel."

"The hotel is very close to the airport and has a shuttle bus, which is very convenient. It was newly opened this year and has complete facilities. It is very new. The room layout is reasonable, spacious and bright. The breakfast has a rich variety and the service is warm and thoughtful. There is a commercial center around it. A taxi is less than 10 euros. It is convenient for eating and shopping. There is an Asian restaurant and a supermarket on the second floor below ground."

"The hotel structure in question has a good location in the center of Sofia, served by Metro, Bus and taxis at a good price (I recommend downloading the app. Taxi Me). The breakfast is well stocked and the room given to me (I had the n.902) is very good, comfortable, nice KING size bed with a good view of the city.
The negative side is in the reception, it is not presented in an adequate manner at all, because the problem of having to climb the stairs to reach level n.1 on foot, imagine a person (worse for elderly people) with luggage and without a lift, becomes a problem; but it does not end there, because when you arrive at the reception area. You encounter cartons, sofas, objects leaning in the corner, folders of invoices with people (they are not staff) drooling with beer, it is a very ugly image, for a moment I was thinking of giving up my reservation and losing my € 300.00 expenses."

"Positives: Great location. Minutes to Serdica, Lion’s Bridge metro stations and easy access to public buses, shops and eateries. Room was spacious and clean.
Negatives: the door to enter the room is hard to open from inside- u need to step into the bathroom in order for the door to open wide. The area outside the room is not soundproof so the noise when people talk (in my case, kids talking and crying) is very loud and clearly heard."

"I booked a 2-bed room, and they gave me a room with a double bed. I couldn't share the same bed with anyone else. They said the room was full and they couldn't provide the room I booked. Finally, they added a makeshift bed next to it. , it was super uncomfortable to sleep!"

"The hotel has a spa and fitness center. Compared to Western European spas in hotels, here you might receive one towel if you ask at the spa reception. Otherwise there are no others on disposal and there is no water dispenser. You have to buy it or bring it with you. The saunas could be more clean, especially the steam sauna, which was very dirty in the evening. To swim in the pool you need to buy a swimming cap. The food at the breakfast was very delicious, compared to other experiences I made in Sofia. It could be maybe different every day, because the only difference was how the potatoes were prepared. In any case, you have a variety of food to eat and you will not be hungry. I was in another Ramada hotel and this one was on a lower level than the one in Bucharest and needs a renovation in the rooms or in the restaurant. The chairs were dirty there."

GGuest UserThe Junior Suite was wonderful, essentially a studio apartment with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, large windows, a private balcony seating area and extensive shelf space. The bathroom was very modern with a very nice tall shower. The beds were very comfortable and the room was large, with a couch. Definitely a great place for both short and long stays.
There were a few small inconveniences in the room, but nothing that affected our stay (water seemed to leak over the door of the shower onto the shower mat; toilet seat was very stiff and loud to open/close; closets were very wide but oddly short to accommodate extra drawers, so too small to hang dresses in full length; the automatic lighting inside the closets did not turn off correctly; and our key card stopped working in the middle of our stay and had to be fixed at the reception). The hotel is very close to a tram stop, so it's easy to get into the city center, and it's also very close to the Cultural Center. It is a bit more of a trek to walk into the city, but still possible in 20 minutes or so. The hotel is located on a small street off the main road and the sidewalk leading up to it is very narrow and in disrepair. You would not guess that the inside of the hotel is so sleek and modern based on the older surrounding area.

KKMSI recently stayed at the Sofia Novotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to unwind after a busy day. The beds were perfect—not too firm and not too soft, ensuring a great night’s sleep.
The hotel’s location is fantastic, situated just across the street from a shopping mall, which made it incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and entertainment. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile.
The breakfast was excellent, offering a good variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day.
The only downside was the gym, which is quite small and lacks heavy free weights and a pull-up bar. While it’s fine for a basic workout, those looking for a more comprehensive fitness setup might be disappointed.
All in all, Sofia Novotel is a great choice for its location, comfort, and service, but fitness enthusiasts might find the gym facilities limited. I would definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserThe location is in the center. Trams rumble right under the window from 3.30 am, so opening the window at night is not very convenient.
Breakfasts are good.
The rooms are tired: shower holders, flush buttons fall off.
The rooms are a bit dark, it is impossible to turn on a brighter light.
The linen is clean.
We were there in winter. The air in the room is very dry. Opening the window, despite the noise, did not help: at night, the throat and nose dried out so much that it hurt.
For this reason, we left 2 days early. We asked for a refund at least for the last night - they refused.

GGuest UserThe attitude of the receptionist was unprofessional, rude and unacceptable.
For one hour, the whole hotel didn’t know how to charge my credit card, as their credit card machine doesn’t follow EU rules for 3D security, thus jeopardising clients’ private data. I wasted a full hour on the phone with my bank, only to find out that the hotel doesn’t follow rules on how to securely handle credit card data. The management kept telling me that it’s my fault, despite the fact I never before have had problems with card payments before.
Breakfast food was decent, with a choice between a couple of set menus.
The hotel was clean, rooms were quiet, and it was situated and in a convenient location, within 3-4 minutes from the nearest metro station.
Some of the photos on their site are dated, as the interior is different now.

BBeryl XuIt’s actually 🈶** in the hotel. So the parking fee is expensive. It’s about less than 100 RMB per night. Because the hotel is relatively cost-effective, you can actually ignore the outdated facilities. When checking in at the front desk, I was assigned to the second floor. I said I wanted a higher floor. There should be a manager next to me who can tell me that you have to ask for it. I said I have a request. I show them the requirements I wrote. Because of the word count requirement, I wrote it in Chinese on Ctrip. The other party immediately said that we couldn’t understand. I responded immediately. Don’t you have a translator? Then I reluctantly gave it to the sixth floor. 👌. When checking out, I especially want to praise the front desk with long brown hair. The service attitude is very good. I want to print out my car insurance policy. Everyone helped.

GGuest UserI thought the location was good because it was about a 10-minute walk from Sofia Central Station, within walking distance to the center, and there was a supermarket nearby.
It's not that it's not clean, but the overall impression of the hotel was dark. Maybe it's the carpet or the lighting.
The service was not bad, but the receptionist was a little blunt or unfriendly. I heard that many Bulgarian people are shy as a national character, so I think that's the way it is.
Amenities included shampoo, shower gel, bar soap, bath towels, face towels, and bath mats, but there were no tissues, toothbrushes, slippers, or loungewear. There is no water in a plastic bottle, so when you drink coffee or tea that is provided as an amenity, you need to use tap water or the water you bought yourself.
All the breakfasts were delicious.
It seems that there is basically no person in charge other than replenishing meals and serving dishes, so it seems that each person can use it freely.

RryetravelsThe location is superb! It's only a walking distance to Boyana church and Boyana waterfalls. 5-10 minute walk circa. The rooms are spotless, warm and very classic. Amenities were ok for the price I've paid. From the airport just take the metro and stop to Vitosha station. Take the bus no.64 and it will bring you directly to the hotel. Great staff and super helpful specially the old lady. Not everyone understands and speaks English but it's ok. The location is about circa 20mins by bus to the city centre of Sofia. The place is so quiet and tranquil. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to comeback during the summer season!

GGuest UserI had a job at the hotel center, at the justice ministry, I could reach it in 10 minutes. When I arrived at 11 a.m., they asked for 30 euros for early check-in, although there were 7 rooms. The lamb meat products offered at breakfast were smoking, and when I asked the garçon there was no pig meat dendi.netlik. Turkish channels are not opened on TV. There are two towels, two shaving sets in the bathroom with cleaning products for hair and body.

TTLocation very central. I love the big balcony and everything functional although the interior of room appears aged and tired. Cleanliness ok. The price is excellent. I also love the buffet breakfast which is very delicious. Highly recommended.
