"The hotel is very central and convenient for sightseeing and getting to the airport as it is close to Serdika station. We went in the height of summer and found the air conditioning to be poor as it was centralised. However the receptionist who waa available on chat was very helpful and brought us a fan to help. The hotel rooms are basic and a little worn but was pretty good value for the location and price."

"The structure of this hotel is quite recent and the area, although a bit peripheral, is served by public transport and the metro. The Vitosha Park Hotel has a very welcoming and finely furnished lobby with a well-stocked bar but inexperienced staff with poor knowledge of the English language. In fact, although we appreciated the willingness to meet our needs, communication was never easy. The services offered by the structure are many, including an indoor swimming pool, a tool room and a spa, however, the cleanliness of the rooms and rooms, especially the bathrooms, should be improved. The rooms are large and comfortable, with a good Wi-Fi signal and the nights pass peacefully and silently. However, maintenance of the rooms should be done more frequently and carefully given that in ours there was a problem with the functioning of the hairdryer, a burned out light bulb and a missing mirror. As if that wasn't enough, a small misadventure also happened to us: upon returning in the evening from a day spent visiting Sofia we found the room still in disarray as the property had had problems with one of the maids. As there were no staff available to clean and tidy up the room, they suggested we move to another on the same floor. We accepted but this certainly does not speak in favor of the hotel. Among the few positive notes is the breakfast buffet which is full of sweet and savory options. All things considered, I can't say that I would stay at the Vitosha Park Hotel again."

"Sadly lacks the amenities eg dated rooms, lack of bathtub, cramped gym to be a 5 star. They don’t seem to have a clear system for cleaning your room which was inconvenient and inefficient. Issues with payment as they charged me over 600 euros as a deposit. They admitted this was a mistake which happens but the fact I had to question this and then have this issue repeated on check out just lacks the expected service for a “5 star”. Good location though"

"Stayed at City Avenue for a week, and I rarely write reviews but was so happy with my time here I thought I had too. Staff extremely friendly and spoke English which helped as I didn’t speak any Bulgarian. Rooms are clean and pretty large for a 3 star hotel. Comfy beds, extremely efficient cleaning of rooms. Lovely smoking area garden and the hotel is in a great location for transport links or a short walk to city centre. 100% would stay here again if I come back to Sofia!"
