From the moment you arrive and Luca greets you at the front gate, you know you made the right choice. You do not have to worry. The location is great for walking to the main square in Sorrento. Very comfortable beds and nice linens. Wonderful experience and Luca helped to make it happen.

A unique, lovely and interesting place to stay. Very pretty garden. Perfect location! Luca the owner made our holiday very easy and relaxing. He recommended excellent restaurants and things to do. My husband and I stayed here for 10 days following 4-days in Rome - we were looking to relax, chill out and enjoy everything the area had to offer. We could not have chosen a better place than Relais La Rupe! The whole experience is so much better than a hotel - the rooms, decoration and stunning garden are spectacular - it was a joy to come back from a trip or a day's exploring to this piece of beautiful tranquility and calm in the heart of Sorrento - we spent most of our evenings sitting in the garden with an after dinner drink, enjoying the fragrant jasmine. It is an easy 5 mins walk from the station (or 10 with luggage) and you can see the main square from the garden balcony. Despite its proximity to the centre of Sorrento, no noise travelled to our room. We stayed in the blue room and was everything we required with a good amount of space, a comfortable sofa, a range of drinks in a mini fridge plus tea and kettle with daily housekeeping. Luca really elevates the whole experience - you arrive as guests but leave as friends. His recommendations for restaurants, gelato and breakfast and the inside track on trips was so invaluable - we had a wonderful trip along the Amalfi Coast arranged by Luca. We would return in a heartbeat and cannot recommend this place highly enough if you want a truly memorable experience in Sorrento!

If you are looking for a place to stay in Sorrento, look no further Relais La Rupe is the place. Better Value than a local 5 star hotel. Located in the center of Sorrento, as soon as you see it you will love it and as soon as you enter you will be amazed. Relais La Rupe has beautiful gardens, swimming pool, barbecue area, terrace with views, it is a magical place. Our room "incredible", with a chandelier, piano, fireplace, tables, paintings, mirrors, decorated with exceptional taste. The person in charge of this charming place is Luca, a wonderful person who knows Sorrento in detail, from itineraries, restaurants, excursions, everything you need. The best host you can imagine. Luca is the most welcoming host. He is always available but not in any way intrusive. The location is superb, almost in Tasso Square but without the noise. It is so restful to come home to after being out. Lovely quiet garden with a swimming pool which was not open while we were there. It opens in May. I can imagine how nice it must be to take a plunge after a hot day touring. Luca is so good with suggestions and help to make your stay the very best. We are light sleepers. When you close your door and window there is no sound from outside. The bed was most comfortable. The Room was a very comfortable size and very clean with daily housekeeping. We were so delighted with our stay here, we would not consider any other place to stay to explore the Amalfi coast. Pure joy at a very reasonable price.

Great location! Beautiful villa! That being said, the rooms were not clean. Amenities like soap, shampoo, and toilet paper were minimal to nonexistent. There is limited egress in the event of a fire as the only exit is a door requiring a key.

This was the best experience we had during our 12 day trip to Italy this month. We stayed in five different hotels, and Relais la Rupe was by far the best. The villa has such a rich, interesting history. The rooms are beautiful, filled with antiques and beautiful furniture. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is well appointed, the air conditioning works to US standards. Luca, the owner, was more than accommodating when it came to making our trip memorable. He had excellent recommendations for restaurants and was able to book tours and private drivers that exceeded all of our expectations. There's also a beautiful pool and lush gardens on the property. The view from the hilltop is amazing, and it's only a very short walk into town. The property is extremely secure, with two keyed entry points. Luca or his family was always available for whatever we needed. It was truly one of the best experiences of our trip. My daughter and I can't wait to visit again!

From the minute we got there we knew we were going to love everything about Relais La Rupe. Luca had arranged for a driver to meet us at the train station and he was waiting to greet us as soon as we arrived at this jaw dropping villa. The place is gorgeous, filled with history, and the wonderful host, Luca was filled with pride as he took us around, told us everything we needed to know, and helped us to plan our 6 days and nights while in Sorrento. We had a room with twin beds, well appointed, a nice private bathroom, with shower, plenty of fresh towels each day, and Luca was always available to help us in any way. I really hated to leave!

Amazing family business! During our honeymoon, Sorrento was in our books and from the moment we arrived until we left, we felt comfortable. The owner Luca is just an amazing person who cares about people. Each room is designed in different antique style and it feels like a journey coming back in time. I recommend this place in a heartbeat and we will be back.
