There were issues at check-in with payment from Trip.com and our rooms were in separate areas despite us requesting rooms in the same building. Upon asking multiple times we finally got a room nearby but the toilets were not working and we had to call for assistance multiple times which was always delayed.

I stayed here just for a night. Receiving was good. I have reached raikar's guest house bogmalo late night because of flight timings. But still the owner was very polite and good at receiving. Affordable price. Thankyou

The recent stay was highly enjoyable. While the experience was largely positive, there are a few areas where improvements could be made. Positive aspects: * the hotel offers breathtaking views and convenient beach access. * the jacuzzi provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience. * the hotel staff demonstrated prompt and efficient service. Areas for improvement: * the hotel does not have its own designated parking area, requiring guests to pay for parking. * the reception area is located at a distance of 300 meters from the guest rooms. * the hotel currently outsources food orders, which may not align with guest expectations. * installing fans in the guest rooms would enhance comfort, particularly during warmer weather.

I have stayed in several 5 star resorts in Goa and Azaya was by far the worst resort I have seen rated at 5 stars. Firstly there is no reception counter at all in the hotel. We had to call out a couple of staff from the back office to do our check-in. The room allotted to us was practically outside the entrance of the resort. So we didn't even feel like we are staying in the resort. The room has a very strange layout wherein the wash basin is right behind the bed in the living room. Atrocious from hygiene perspective. The bathrooms were split into the bath area on one side of the room & the lavatory on the other side. There are no locks in the bathroom which can be uncomfortable for family travelers. The bath tub is in the balcony which can also be accessed from the living room Because of the bath tub there is a tall view blocker so you cannot see outside. Too much fancy designing but completely avoidable leaving aside the basics. There was no water in the basin. We got some muddy red water in the basin and went out to see that a tanker was arriving, so we had to wait to get water. The handphone in the room to call the reception was not working. We walked around the resort at around 8pm and it looked dark & deserted. There was hardly any staff we saw except for the 2 people who helped us check-in. There was complete darkness and my wife almost stepped onto a fountain area filled with water because she couldn't see anything. We finally decided to pack up and leave without staying at the resort. The 2 staff at the check-in area were nice and tried their best to pacify us. I had sympathy for them. Strangely there was not even a hotel manager on duty. And this is supposed to be a 5 star resort. We had to talk to the manager (Mr Rajdip Bhattacharya) on a phone and we informed him that we are checking out and requested a refund. He first said that the booking is non-refundable but then agreed for a refund. It is 10 days now since my visit but he is now no longer taking my calls. I keep waiting for my refund and will take action if the amount is not refunded. Please avoid this resort at all costs.
