Beautiful room with an amazing view. Breakfast was incredible. Service was immaculate! Only thing that let us down was the lift situation as after breakfast we waiting 25 minutes to get the lift back to the room. When we went to check out we waited 15 minutes and then decided to go down the stairs from the 9th floor as we were worried about missing checkout. Need more and bigger lifts. Or. Just maybe a life for the housekeeping team.
All in all it was still amazing and we hope to stay again soon

The check in was fast and flawless. The room wasn't ready so reception offered to keep our bags safely while we wondered around the hotel waiting till it was ready. The location was perfect next to a large mall. The room was made up again on the second day of our stay. A welcome cocktail was a nice touch. Excellent location if you just came off or starting a cruise from Southampton.

The hotel is placed just outside of the centre, which a short 5 minute walk. The centre is a busy one so it suited us as a family.
Check in and check out was easy as it was all online, so no waiting in long queues, however the front desk does get very busy.
The staff were polite and helpful, and the room was clean.
One of the lifts wasn’t working which is a small issue as there are 12 floors and a lot of guests, so waiting for them could sometimes be a little stressful.
My only gripe is the breakfast. Often the food was cold, or just missing. Coffee machine wasn’t working, it’s badly designed so you can’t move around the food easily. Certain eggs you had to order but we tried that and they never materialised. Plates and bowls in weird places (nothing at all by the toast). It could be run much better. The food was average at best. It really let the hotel down in that respect.
Otherwise, everything was fab. You do get noise from the road below but it’s a busy location, so it’s to be expected.
We’d definitely stay here again if in the area or if we were going on a cruise the next day.

I love staying at Cumberland Road Premier Inn. When we visit Southampton Mayflower Theatre we love to book a stop over. We usual go for the meal deal as well and end up with Half Board at a great price. The restaurant is actually quite good at this Premier Inn (not always the case) the food is hot and plentiful. The staff are rushed off their feet but always knowledgeable. I want to give a special mention to Chris who just goes above and beyond and is so friendly. It's lovely to have a member of the waiting staff that takes the extra couple of minutes to show genuine interest in what you say. It's lovely to have a chuckle and a smile! Well done Chris. The bedrooms are always a pleasure. So quiet and comfortable. We actually quite like the new ”ask at reception if you want your room cleaned” policy as it means we can relax without waiting for the knock on the door.

The motel is a few minutes walk from Southampton train station. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Appreciated the kettle. Wi-Fi was good. Close to town and the port. Food was OK. Dining area could be improved with a bit of decor.

Nice hotel rooms are okay too. Not overpriced IMO.
TV in the room was larger than your average hotel room TV. Wi-Fi reliable and fast enough. Clean and comfortable. Great selection of drinks at the bar. Checkin time seems a little bit later than most hotels along with the checkout time of 10am. So that should be revised to make it more appealing.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaThe check in process was very easy, just took us some time to find the place because we thought it is separated from the pub but the reception is actually right in it so just walk straight in! Room was very cozy and equipped, very thoughtful to provide us with all the basic amenities plus additional items such as water, beer, milk, chocolate, coffee for coffee machine and even a postcard! Staff was really friendly and helpful as well. The breakfast was also really amazing - you get to choose a main and a drink from their breakfast menu on top of a mini buffet spread that offered some really good pastries, salamis, cheese and more, so be sure to leave some extra time in the morning to enjoy it!
However, there was a club opposite the place that was opened slightly pass midnight when we were there and if you're a light sleeper be sure to pack some ear plugs to go to sleep early. One of the corners of the wall also had a slight mold issue because the condensation from the bathroom must have caused that in the long run but it shouldn't be a huge concern though it will be nice if that gets fixed!

The hotel also provide with free parking, but it was already full when we arrived. There is plenty parking spaces outside the hotel which is free after 6pm or 7pm.

PPengguna TetamuBeautiful grounds! The entrance to the hotel is amazing. It’s in a fantastic setting, lovely to walk around the grounds aha explore. The room is slightly dated in comparison to other hotels, however the bed is comfy and you have a tv and hot drink facilities. Pool, jacuzzi and steam room were a nice touch.

EEthanOverall I thought this Hotel for having ‘budget’ in its name was very good, I still think that £182 was pretty expensive for what was on offer compared to the big brands like Travelodge/Premier Inn. This Hotel was in a very convent location in Southampton and is within short walking distance from Southampton Cebtrak Train Station, Southampton Coach Station and Southampton Cruise Terminal. There’s even a McDonald’s right outside the building, The lobby was clean and tidy and check in speed was fast, first problem is that the Key cards kept randomly l stop working almost every time I went in and out of the hotel, asked what the problem could be and was told that the cards de magnetise if near a mobile device, I found this irritating, the room was a decent size with comfortable bed, Shower is in the bedroom and the toilet was in its own little closet, dident bother me as a solo traveller, the shower was slightly frustrating as the temperature consistently kept changing from hot to cold and the handle was that big it was easy to knock the handle and turn if the shower without intentionally doing so, Imtge rooms have no kettle and no plug sockets near the bed only two plugs by the desk, I like the option to have 24/7 access to food and drink at recipe if you need it there’s a menu/leaflet in the rooms, unfortunately the breakfast for a continental breakfast was very poor, very little selection on offer and the 2nd morning had considerably less with very little to eat, for the price that was very disappointing, apart from that its convent on location and gets the job done
