We booked this hotel as a last-minute Chistmas Eve getaway. At a total cost of 840 rmb, it was a bit of a splurge. It was totally worth it.
Let's start with the bathtub. I am 6'4” (193 cm), 150kg, and I love a good bath. This bathtub is a small pool. You can see in the photo that I was stretched out with room to spare.
Then there is the view, I love Guiyang at night, and it looked so cool with the fog and the lights. The sitting area by the windows was so pleasant with a couple glasses of wine (provided with the room) .
Honestly, you can find the rest of the room amenities in other hotels, but you are hard pressed to find a view or a tub like this anywhere.
I also found the service to be extremely helpful. My Chinese is poor, so the hostess who checked us in created a wechat group so that I could translate things and make any requests of the front desk staff. They were very responsive and helpful.
Overall, this was an excellent stay, and I will most likely book this room every couple of months as a mini vacation for the wife and I.

酒店的位置很好，就在區政府對面，安全感滿滿。周邊吃飯的地方很多，隔壁就是大酒樓，對面巷子裏有當地人常去吃的老湯火鍋店，青雲巿場和甲秀樓都可以走着到達，打車去黔靈山公園也很近便，十幾塊錢。房間裝修風格很小資，因為是新開的店，設備很新，衞生維護得也很好。整個酒店的服務都很好，不是冷冰冰的職業化那種，是發自內心的熱情，很温暖。尤其是高高帥帥的大堂經理，特別熱情，下雨了借傘給我們，向我們推薦當地人才知道的美食店。非常感謝各位的周到服務。總體印象就是小而精緻的酒店。位置好硬件佳服務軟實力更強。

Everything was great. The only issue was the room was hot. AC wasn't doing its job. Called front desk. They sent a tech to adjust AC and brought a portable fan. Was able to cool the room down to acceptable level but not as low as we liked. Great breakfast buffet. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants. Very friendly staff.

The location is good with plenty of food options outside. There is a night food market and subway nearby. On the downside, the room needs to be updated, the lavender color walls are old and the room and hallway smell smokey. It's 2024 and people still smoke cigarettes in the hotel and lobby. The breakfast was average, there were no croissants or baguettes. I chose this hotel chain because it's French and I expected croissants and good bread. It was disappointing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Anantara Guiyang. The facilities are gorgeous and the service was outstanding. We were there on a Monday and it was really quiet -- the hotel seemed pretty empty-- so not all of the facilities were open, for example the lobby bar was closed. But the staff went out of their way to ensure we were fed and happy. I think they kept the restaurant open just for us, it seemed. At the front desk, 小苹果 (who goes by ”Apple”) was outstanding. She made sure every element of our visit was good and that we were completely satisfied. We highly recommend staying here and at other Anantara resorts, they do a great job.

出差到附近，第一次選擇，慶幸未踩坑，還挺驚喜。酒店的服務很熱情，還有暖心服務做的很不錯，冬天室外非常冷，進出酒店前台小姐姐都會主動送一瓶温熱好的礦泉水，口渴了來上一口能暖胃，不喝握在手裡能暖手，很贊～酒店房間裏很寬敞，床墊特別舒服軟和，配置完全不輸品牌酒店，地理位置位於商務區中心，去哪都很方便，周邊還有很多大大小小的餐飲店可以選擇，晚上夜市也很熱鬧，性價比非常高，下次還會再來！

TTee’s Favourite ThingsOne word to describe our stay at Maison Albar is spectacular. We received spectacular service, spectacular food and got upgraded to a spectacular room.
Our concierge Alex, greeted us with warm smiles and helped us with everything thing that we needed. He ensured that our stay was comfortable, checked up on us in case we needed anything and was always available if need be.
If I had to rate all of my stays in hotels throughout my life, I would definitely say that Maison Albar comes out on top. Their customer service is so phenomenal from the moment you enter to the moment that you leave. If I could live out of any hotel for the rest of my life, I’d choose this one.
We stayed here for an occasion - a birthday celebration. We received complimentary drinks, cakes as well as dishes when we went for their exceptional 7-course fine dining experience. Eric, the manager of the restaurant makes sure to tell you what you’re eating, makes sure that you’re comfortable and makes sure that you don’t have any needs because everything is met before asking for anything.
The room itself is meticulously clean, spacious they provide you with high end amenities, complimentary stocked up fridge and Maison Margiela products that leaves you with a naturally perfumed scent. I also love the the daily fruit, beverages and afternoons snacks that they leave in your room.
If you are still feeling peckish after all this, you can pop into their French bakery on the ground floor, just in case you wanted an extra indulgence. Also, please also try out their delectable breakfast buffet spread.
Thank you to the staff at Maison Albar for making us feel welcomed, comfortable and special.

1. Location is convenient: Subway station is right at the door, where you can arrive at major points of the city without many connections on the ground.
2. Food: One breakfast is included in my rate. Adding one costs only US$4. The variety of food is blowing me away. Without exaggeration you won’t repeat what you eat in a week if you pick only five items each day. Think about what’s provided in US hotel for $15. Only $4 here - unbelievable!
3. Staff are very courteous and helpful, from front desk to cleaning personnel, and room services. You’ll receive instant response to address your need whenever you raise it.
4. Facility: It was put in operation in 2022 so everything is new and maintained well. It had indoor swimming pool, gym, billiard room (even one for snook), and ping pong room. It is purposed to host large conferences/events.
Now the part that I think they can do better -
1. Smoking: It’s not smoking prohibited hotel, which is pretty common in China, especially not the first tier cities. But they don’t assign some rooms to be non-smoking. Instead, all rooms are smoking permitted and it is allowed in most public areas too. Though this might be OK for domestic visitors, it can be an unflavored factor to people from abroad.
2. Laundry: It doesn’t provide self-served laundry. There is laundry service but it costs dearly going by items.

Checking in was easy, and the staff were genuinely happy to help and answer questions about services.
The room was of excellent quality, and very clean, beds comfortable. A robot delivered a complimentary fruit platter shortly after reaching the room.
Highly recommend the breakfast option. It was varied and a good mix of Chinese and Western options.
Staff are very helpful, friendly, and courteous in all of the various roles. Special mention to Xuanxin and Xiangya on the front desk who provided 5 star service and went out of their way to assist.
Hotel management is clearly interested in making guests' experiences at the hotel great
After 8 days of travel we really needed to attend to our laundry. Again, a staff member assisted in loading 3 of the 4 washer/dryers with our clothes. The result was excellent, albeit allow some time for heavy items such as denim jeans as they are not fast commercial machines.
My partner helped with the language issues however most critical items have English text or cards that an app can easily translate. Staff will aso take the time to assist.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a top choice for service, value and quality.

AAaron CedricI really liked this hotel! First of all, I was so grateful that, even though I arrived a little before noon, the hotel managers allowed me to check in early with no extra charge. And I found them helpful and efficient and friendly (always greeting me when I returned each day).
The room itself was a pleasant change from what I'm used to. First of all, my room had no window. But I didn't even get bothered by that because the room itself has such a warm feeling. The floor is a dark wood that makes the whole room feel a sense of integrity. The decorations in the room also give a sense of old world elegance. For example, they put a 1940s style phone in the room (which is very clearly modern since it uses digital buttons instead of the rotary system) just to keep up with the entire theme of the hotel as a place stuck beautifully in time. The shower in the room was excellent; it even had a bench built into the wall that I suppose you could sit on. The shower had good pressure and a full supply of hot water. The room was a bit hot for me, but I suppose I could have called the front desk and they would have helped me adjust the settings; it wasn't too hot that I was uncomfortable. Actually, at that time of the year when Guizhou is so cold and damp, other hotels I had stayed at previously in Guizhou had the problem of being irreparably cold, so perhaps I should be grateful for this point.
I like the fact that the hotel has breakfast. I intended to try the breakfast but I got food poisoning from some street food the night before and didn't feel like eating anything the entire next day, so unfortunately I didn't get to try it... but it really looked good! They also seem to have a late evening dinner option, but I didn't try that either (I should have!).
The location is also excellent. I took a cab from this hotel to the history museum, Qianling Mountain Park, and the airport, and all were quick and cheap rides. Obviously a visit to Qingyan Ancient Town is going to be an expensive ride wherever you are coming from unless you're staying in Qingyan itself. Anyways, this hotel is also within walking distance to a lot of great restaurants. Just go out the door and turn left and within a few blocks you'll be in a food area with professional restaurants and street food. I, regrettably, was determined to visit Guiyang's famous ErQi Food street, so I kept walking. From the hotel to ErQi food street, it took me about 45 minutes to walk. Not bad! As it turns out, something I ate there didn't agree with my digestive system, so I should have just eaten at the many great restaurants near the hotel. But the point I'm making is that the ErQi Food street ”on the other side of town” was only about 40 minutes by walking. I could also walk to Yan'an Lu and other such streets or to Jiaxiu Tower (I walked right by it... only about 20 minutes from the hotel by walking). That shows what a fantastic location this hotel offers!

- hearty and delicious breakfast. Steaming freshly cooked- noodles with different toppings, fried rice, steamed rice, rice porridge, various dishes, fruit juices, hot beverages, fruits, desserts, on-the-go breakfast snacks, etc. The manager personally managed the breakfast spread, making sure the food and drinks were replenished and invited guests to try the breakfast noodle.

My train was delayed due to weather conditions. Instead of arriving at 22:11, I arrived at Guiyang North Railway station at almost 23:00, the manager promptly replied to my messages to see to it that I correctly followed the directions to the hotel since I don't speak Chinese and it was already late at night. He assured me that the staff was expecting me and the room had been prepared and reserved for me. They upgraded me to a bigger room + complimentary breakfast! ❤️
- The staff and the manager helped me book a taxi to the airport. It was raining when I left for the airport and they provided a service umbrella and instructed the driver to drop me at T2 on my behalf since I am a foreigner and I don't speak Chinese!

Secondly: it is located on the 8th floor of a commercial tower.
As a 3 star rated hotel in china, it's on the high end of the scale inside.
as a solo traveller, i am mainly looking at convenience and hygiene. I booked this place for it's proximity to the train station for my early morning flight.
Arriving at the station, it took me 40 minutes to find my way to walk over to the hotel, and would have appreciated more information.
How to get there: Exit the station at the west plaza, on your right somewhere, you will find a path which leads to an underpass to cross the highway. Walk straight into the basement of the commercial building, turn left and then go up the escalators. Then the hotel's lifts are on the left as you enter the building. The current state of the elevator lobby and the lift is dire. See photos. Cigarette butts, and renovation mess.
In the reception, there was a lady in front of me that was haggling the prices of her room. Just so that you get an idea of the place.
Once I got into the room, it was fine. Quite a nice area. But there was no Aircon control, it was all centralised, but at least it was cool in Guiyang that night.
There was a wet mark on the sofa, see photo. I inspected the room for hygiene, and it was ok, clean towels, clean toilet, clean sheets, pillows didn't smell. The toilet flushes well, and shower room was clean. In fact, apart from the sofa mark and the rug condition, everything was good. I marked down the hygiene mainly from a suspicious wet mark and the state of the lobby/lift.
I used the self checkout in the morning to catch my train, since the reception was sleeping under the counter. It takes 10-15 min today walk to the station with luggage, with no rain shelter. Be aware. It is probably better to just book a hotel in a slightly better area and take a cab.

PPekLinExcellent location, next door to the metro line 2, with good public bus onnections to various city attractions. There are many food outlets within walking distance, 200 - 500m from hotel. An underground food street is a stone throw away. Room is clean, spacious n comfortable, king size bed on 35th floor. Breakfast was very basic buffet with mainly salad n stir fry vegetables. Protein is in the form of eggs.

SScarletTheWanderer🏨 Situated 30 mins from the airport this is a little gem located right in the heart of Huaxi Shilihe Beach National Urban Wetland Park. 马娟 the manager was so nice and went out of her way to make me feel welcome.
I was upgraded to a suite which was spacious, had a lovely bath and the bed and sheets were luxurious. Unfortunately, the air conditioner wasn’t working so it was very hot in my room but the manager found me a fan right away which was perfect and I had a nice nights sleep. The hotel lobby and stairway could be a little more clean but the views were nice from the common balcony area.
🤩 马娟 showed me where I could rent a bike to explore the wetland park and made delicious recommendations on where I could get the local noodles that were soooo tasty I went back twice! 🥘 The restaurants nearby serve a lot of BBQ and many other places have KTV but it didn’t go on throughout the night. There is a little construction across the valley during the day as it seems someone is building a big resort but inside the room it was very quiet. It’s a 3 mins walk from the river and if you walk about 5 mins away from the little town it’s quiet and peaceful by the river.
❤️ I would recommend staying here if you want to explore a gorgeous wetland park in the city or if you want a little taste of nature before flying from Guiyang. It’s also very close to the Huaxi park (about 20mins walk) and Tianhetan park is around a 25-40 mins taxi depending on traffic and time and costs about 40-50rmb.

這是我第一次住青旅，本來沒抱太大希望，但是沒想到打破了我對青旅的固有印象！！！真的很值得很值得！！！首先空間很大真的不擁擠；其次衞生很乾凈，你辦好入住了老闆才會把床單被套枕套給你；最後衞生間（可以淋浴）就在對面，房間裏還有一個衞生間，空間真的還蠻寬敞的，雖然不能淋浴，但是可以洗漱上廁所呀！真的很值得推薦啊家人們！床也很大，反正比常規青旅的大（個人覺得）！想來貴陽玩的朋友們真的可以考慮這一家哦，老闆人也很nice，客廳還有一衹貓，也可以自己做飯，該有的都有，陽台就能看見白宮和雙子塔，重要的是重要的是，樓下就是松花路地鐵C口！！！

It’s an older hotel which was once very luxurious: nice wall paper, generous room layout, well appointed furniture, good comfy mattress, but sadly, it has seen better days.
The entire hotel needs a facelift and deep cleaning. Carpet stained and grime and dirt where all corners of all walls meet, accumulated from years of neglect. Shower smells bad and water does not drain. We were shown several rooms; all smell of cigarette smoke as none are smoke free (ashtrays in all rooms).
Plus points:
1. Excellent service from lady front desk manager
2. house keeping staff work very hard to keep up with the degrading rooms.
3. Linen very clean, changed daily and nice high thread count sheets
4. Housekeeping brings a tray of fresh fruits delivered to hotel room daily
5. Free self service laundry (no dryer)
6. Location is great
7. plenty of free easy parking
8. Many places to dine within walking distance of hotel.
9. Cheap
It’s a pity hotel management do not work on maintenance.
It has potential to relive its good years again with some TLC. Thank you again to all the staff who are so friendly and helpful. We had a room with huge windows facing the mountains. A little road noise but not bad when windows shut.
