Great location on Da Dong Hai beach and a few minutes walk to the swimming area on the beach. We booked the suite with terrace and it was absolutely amazing with lots of space and a plunge pool for our 4 year old to play in. Room cleaned on command and Abby - the housekeeper - gave me her WeChat on day 1 and was always so helpful and attentive. She even went as far as getting information on things for us and even booking in a massage (which I highly recommend from Bella) who was petite but very strong and knew how to hit the right spots.
Breakfast and dinner were fine with plenty of choice of both Chinese and western with beers and soft drinks available too.
My only gripe was being told the pool opens at 10am and upon explaining to the management that the pool is the main feature for any holiday resort along with the room, when you have a child that wakes up early, the pool should be available early like every other hotel we have stayed in and to be fair to the management, they agreed for it to be open for use from 8am. The tv package in the room was great and my son had plenty of choice of English cartoons including Peppa Pig.
I would say this hotel is a solid 4 star hotel though and not a 5 star like the Shanghaitian Hotel next door where we’ve stayed before.
The pool could do with some more deck chairs as they are quite limited. The pool could also do with some signs to tell the Chinese guests not to spit around the pool or even inside the pool which is disgusting and really off putting to foreign guests - which the hotel has a lot of! The room/suite could do with a few more power ports/usb and hooks in the bathroom. The toilet is very far away from the pool, you have to go all the way back inside the hotel almost to reception to use the toilet so if you are soaking wet but need the toilet then this could be dangerous and also encourages guests to release themselves in the pool instead which is unhygienic.
All in all though, we would definitely stay here again.

Best location and best hotel in Dadonghai Sanya. direct tunnel walkway to the sea from hotel. Spectacular breakfast with western and Chinese flavor. even picky eaters will walk away with full belly.
Room is spacious, modern and with breathtaking views of the sea. Be sure to get the sea view room with breakfast. it's worth it.
Hotel staff is good. if you have any questions or problems ask for manager Jim . he is the best in hospitality and service.
the hotel has two swimming pools. one for kids and one for adults on top floor.
it would be even better if the pools are heated and the have a jacuzzi by pool area.
Hope they keep up the good service, strive for even better and be prosperous.

The view is partially very beautiful (except for the extremely ugly buildings below and around the hotel).
The location isn't directly on the beach but it's very close. Very nice location. It's close to all the shops as well.
The facilities are nice, however, the bath robes I had were extremely worn, frayed and haggard. I definitely would not keep it in any hotel. The TV and bedside light were broken. These things should be easy to fix? I was in one of the more expensive rooms. This is just negligence and easily avoidable by the hotel. Customer service is very delightful. They did offer me free snacks and drinks upon arriving, in order to give more time to prepare the room.
The snacks and fruit are in the photo. That was nice.
I also came back to the hotel one day to find a birthday cake in my room. Quite delicious and very thoughtful. I really appreciated that. Very good gesture, thank you!
If the price was cheaper I would go there again.
However, there are better hotels around for this price.
Still, it's very nice.

The location of the hotel is prime, however there are some construction sites near the hotel which made it quite noisy at times. Due to this, the hotel staff was kind enough to upgrade us to a suite (shown in the pictures) overlooking the beautiful view. We were also blessed to have Wendy, a client liaison, assigned to us to attend to our needs. She shared helped tips and activities.
Though the view is stunning, there are helicopters flying to and from the island to which this hotel is looking. Be informed that this does spoil a peaceful atmosphere when being in the room or on the balcony.
The food was great, as there was a wide variety of dishes and sitting outside topped off the holding feeling.

We loved this quaint little place. Off the main shopping street so it’s a bit less busy but still close enough to make for easy access. Right on the beach which is both a good thing and potentially a slight issue for those wanting a place that is quiet at night. You will have to deal with the club music from a couple other beachside places who play loud music (albeit good and live) until 23:00 every night. The highlights for us would be the service which was incredibly nice and helpful. The resident dog was also a big highlight for us as she (Muo Muo) was so sweet. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the facilities were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t have an issue with late night music.

I cannot fault this hotel. I am used to really high standard and this exceeded all expectations - it was simply wonderful. The interior and the cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding and beautiful. The rooftop Sky bar was gorgeous and the drinks were great. The breakfast was stunning and the gym facility was good. The pool was also really cool. The staff were faultless and spoke good english and were so kind - especially the guys in Sky bar (who remembered us) and Luby who helped to check us in. I will 100% be back.

作為本次三亞旅行的第一站，京海確實給我了很多驚喜，點評上分數不算高，**也沒怎麼做宣傳，真的完全是碰運氣的，但是從進入門的那一剎那，感覺瞬間心情大好，80平的房型，寬敞大氣，配置到位，還能做飯，很方便，早餐也很不錯，沒有搞活動，過多宣傳，人也不多，更沒有旅遊團，吃早餐很悠閑，很舒服。精選海景雖然不能看全海景，但是視野也很開闊，如果在多花點錢，可以升級全海景，那樣估計更帥，價格也不貴，很合適。出門過個馬路就是椰夢長廊，可以親海，很方便。如果來三亞灣度假，京海絕對可以閉眼入，不要怕價格低會不好，也不用擔心評分不高，除了沒有現在酒店流行的管家服務，其他都特別好，感覺就像個一個外表大氣端莊，品行端正不做作的大姑娘，無需過多修飾，自身條件優越，往那一站就足夠可以讓人賞心悦目，無需過多修飾。性價比太高了。

Excellent location. Pretty good breakfast. Nice amenities and layout. Cleanliness okay, though a little worn and dated in places, particularly the carpets outside of the rooms in the halls. Additional fees for use of pool floaties and towels. Use of extra water naturally incurred fees but also an aggressive knocking and doorbell ringing in the middle of the day to give me the receipt for the waters, waking us up from a nap for no good reason... Would prefer if the fee was simply noted at checkout.
Overall pretty good and worth the price.

Some few keys I’d like to pinpoint during my stay in this resort. We were staying for 5 nights, from June 1st to 8th.
CLEANLINESS
I’m very surprised with the cleanliness in the room and surrounding areas. Walking through the lobby, garden areas, pool areas and of course the room. You’ll be able to see gardeners, housekeepers, and cleaners doing everything to clean the their areas. This resort is spotless. Five stars for that.
LOCATION
Location is quite far from downtown but enough to go shopping around 68 market/mall. The hotel is connected to the mall where you can find and dine local restaurants. It is good when you’re trying to avoid the pricy meal at the resort. (Go local, get cheaper)
And yes, location from the airport is about 35-45 minutes away. No traffic on the way. But try to avoid some local drivers who’s trying to give you a cheaper price to send you to the hotel. Always check the price on Didi or other app. When using those apps there will be no compromise.
SERVICE
Service. Well, overall it was great! Starting from reception, we were greeted during the arrival with the help of our luggage and stuff and guided us through the lobby. The receptionist attended us during check-in was very attentive and helpful (I didn’t get a chance to check her name). She was very helpful, and even gave us a tour through the map and sent us to the lift to our room.
The young man and young lady at the housekeeping dept. was always ready to help us with what we needed in the room and prepared a honeymoon decoration in the room on the first day with complementary champagne and a fruit basket (Downside: some are telling to give them five stars) but I totally understand as it helps them as well.
Restaurant staff are relatively friendly and helpful. Very welcoming when you coming for breakfast and guide us to our seats. BUT, you’ll need to come earlier than 9. Otherwise, you’ll be lining up outside the restaurant waiting for the vacant seat.
AMENITIES
Amenities are well cleaned and new. Showers and tub are quite new and well maintained. Other things in the resort are basically great.
Swimming at the beach is on your own risk. No lifeguard assigned to watch as it is a public beach. Basically it’s not allowed to go swimming. Haitang bay resorts are all the same. If you’re looking for a resort where you can swim, you need to find somewhere else such as Yalong bay or Wuzhizhou Island.
Overall stay was great.
Just bear in mind, if you’re looking for a hotel or resort for fun this resort is not for you. But if you’re looking for a relaxation and calm holiday this resort is for you.
There are only few entertainment and experience you can have in the resort such as live music during barbecue dinner at the Grand Cafe, dinner in the sky, and show outside the restaurant.

- Amazing open-air aquarium with exotic fish and turtles.
- Great amenities for kids (electric vehicles, train, pedal karts, swimming pool floats and boats).
- Friendly and helpful staff.
- Great location near CDF mall.
- Really good breakfast.
Bad:
- I received a significant electric shock just by touching the front tray of the children’s popcorn machine at breakfast. I immediately informed a member of staff whose response made me feel this was not the first time it had happened. They switched off the popcorn machine and said somebody would fix it. 10mins later we saw the machine was switched on again (the staff member said it was fixed).
- The security chain on the door to our room locked itself from the inside after we left the room, so we could not get in when we got back. Had to wait 15-20min for staff to open the chain from the outside, then had to wait another 30-40min for a repairman to replace the old/faulty chain lock - this took a while because the new hardware did not fit properly and the door could not be closed (it was fixed with some loud hammering). The next day, the door couldn’t close again so I had to again wait for a repairman to fix it (more loud hammering).
- A few times we had no response when calling “instant service” on the phone. The WeChat service was also sometimes slower than we’d expected, especially for urgent questions.
- Tired and worn out exterior and interior decoration (faded/peeling paint, damp patches).
- Wobbly fixings (balcony light, toilet paper holder).
- Confusing A/C controls (two control panels, no indication what each one is for)
- Live music started quite late and was loud - we had to close balcony door to let our child sleep.
- Transparent doors to the shower and toilet cubicles.
- Inconsistent service at breakfast (some days very attentive, some days not so).
- No good value lunch or dinner options. I tried a room service salad which was terrible (it used canned beans, canned corn and canned chickpeas, and processed roast chicken) - surprisingly bad value and quality.
- One evening our taxi was not permitted to enter the hotel grounds due to a special event. We had to walk up the long driveway with our (tired) young daughter….it would have been nice for the hotel to offer their electric buggy shuttle from the main road to the lobby.
- After the trip, I received an email with a link to the bill, but this link took me to a web page which said an online bill was unavailable.

VVera HuiOur first time here! Perfect family getaway in nature. The hotel cabs are fast and efficient, and the view is really nice. The rooms are spacious, air conditioning works great! Kids will have lots to do, including water raft, glass bridge, animal petting and swimming. The staffs are all friendly and welcoming. It would have been better if there were more food options but we will come back here again!

SSuntikaI stayed at the Shangri-La Sanya to celebrate a friend’s birthday over the weekend.
We booked the Club King Room which came with a lot of free activities and saved us a lot.
Check in was smooth as I was helped By Guest Relations Supervisor, Dora and her colleague Nancy. They were kind, attentive and professional.
The hotel has a mini supermarket in Building 1, which was nice.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel was incredible. I would suggest S.E.A restaurant it’s a Southeast Asian Restaurant.
I feel the hotel failed my expectations in two area:
1. The spread offered at afternoon was limited and if you didn’t arrive on time you had to wait about 10-20 mins for the next batch of food to come out.
2. At Happy Hour in the club lounge, there was a few bottles of hard liquor, chilled prosecco and wine. However?l, once the bottle was empty it was replaced with another fresh bottle.
Other than that, my friend and I had an amazing stay and was definitely worth it.

BBrittany PaigeBanyan Tree, my home away from home ❤️ This was one of our best trips all because of the incredible facilities and services that Banyan Tree offers. You are treated like royalty from the moment you enter the grounds till even after we left. We forgot 2 items in our villa and the amazing ladies have shipped it back to us. The ladies at the front desk were amazing the buggy drivers were so helpful and the spa was incredible!!! We didn’t get everyone’s names but Acco on reception, Summer and Anna in the spa were some of the kindest hosts. Every staff member we interacted with, was so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Overall Banyan Tree is a 12/10. The hotel wins for us in all the small details like our welcome gifts, fresh fruit daily, daily pool cleaning and fresh towels and robes.
The one and only feeling I have that isn’t 100% positive is the food prices at the hotel. Just be prepared for expensive food, especially if you want steak.

GGiorgioThe place is always appealing, with its magnificent gardens and fully immersed in a green and well-kept environment. Everything is very clean, both outside and inside the villas. The staff has been always kind and attentive to our needs. We especially enjoyed the abundant breakfast, sitting outside with a nice view over the quiet lake. Going to the beach and back is very convenient, thanks to the shuttle service, very effective and timely. We only regret we couldn’t enjoy the dinner buffet, because the music was always too loud, preventing any conversation. This can be easily improved.

PPengguna TetamuThis was our first time in this hotel and we enjoyed a lot! The staff is really kind. Apple could speak English and she offered an upgrade for the room during check in. The view was amazing. But especially Beck helped us a lot, resolving all our doubts or questions. He was great for us to spend a great time. The breakfast at the hotel is really good, with a lot of options ( noodles, guangdong steam, a bakery room…). The hotel has 4-5 pools, one of them with slides. And there was a foam show everyday 17-18h. The beach , 5 minutes walking was wonderful: clean, almost empty. What we also liked was all the plants around the hotel. There were also a hainan restaurant and Chongqing hotpot. We are looking forwards to come back very soon! We loved this hotel!

AAlexandra May Pickett This has been my third trip to Sanya and I must say this hotel left a lot to be desired. My personal goal for choosing this hotel was A. Trip.com is still using great photos of the place that sold that island retreat to me and B. to have the resort vibe where I would not have to leave the comforts unless it was for a good reason. However on arrival and inspection my husband and I quickly realized we would be seeing a lot more of Yalong Bay than we had planned with almost every meal being eaten at other hotels with much less of an “off season “ vibe. The location is great and accessible to the beach but the hotel boasts pools(more than 1 being important) however on inspection only the kiddie pool and half of the main pool were allowed to be used. The pool in front of the McDonalds was semi drained and cornered off despite staff members cleaning in it as if it were being used. The main pool divided up into 4 areas was also not in full use with the entire right side being forbidden. Many of the other pool like areas that originally had been marked as swimming areas also had signs up saying it was a “landscaping pool - do not enter”. Another unsettling part is the incessant douyin content creators who set up camp at the stairs of the only usable pool to film the general area and talk all day in shifts with no real consequence or idea of privacy.
As for dining the “western style dining” was definitely not catering to westerners unless you count rubbery eggs and dry bacon with a side of rotisserie corn sausage as a “full English” the dining hall itself is in two areas indoor (with broken upholstery and exceptionally dirty flooring) and outside with chairs that resemble public swimming pool seating in the 80s with a dose of tetanus on the legs. The evening dining is also something to be avoided if you have no way of understanding Chinese or do not wish to get food poisoning since meat is kept outside in dishes for you to choose your own BBQ options while no regard for cross contamination or food allergies are applied.
The hotel rooms themselves were the redeeming feature of this hotel with daily cleaning and good views of the mountain and ocean depending on your choice of room when booking. It is also worth noting there is no room service but there are very convenient meituan drop boxes located outside the hotel lobby. Cleaning staff were super friendly and other hotel staff seemed to be divided into “older” and “younger” the younger of the bunch being much more helpful and more recognizable as people working in the hospitality industry.
Other amenities such as the spa (was not occupied and not on offer) and the gym was well equipped however some machines were of the older more unreliable variety and with no working air conditioning you could potentially be working out in a sauna.
On arrival you are offered a complementary coupon for one afternoon tea set, the pictures used for advertising this special offer are unfortunately false advertising. With an odd assortment of savory and sweet cookies and snacks it was anything other than something I would purchase myself.
Our first impression was that the hotel was in an “off season” but on closer examination of hotels in the surrounding area we found other hotels to have daily scheduled activities, full use of amenities and to be run by actual hospitality staff and not by untrained locals like the LAN Sanya - ocean view resort.
Unfortunately this hotel would get a 10/10 would not recommend to foreigners and would not book again from me.

CCamillaKJI had fairly high expectations when I got to this location, but unfortunately the standard was fairly low. It might be due to the fact that covid has affected this area. The maintaining of the hotel wasn't great. Our bathroom door was broken, the sofa pillows had dirty spots on them, the pool chairs are all covered in dirt, people were smoking in the elevators not taking it into consideration that there are a lot of kids here, and other people that doesn't want to inhale smoke for that matter.. I spoke to the reception about the smoking and they Confirmed it isn't legal, but they didn't have anyone to take care of the matter so nothing they could do if someone were to smoke. The swimming pools around as well as in the water park were all very cold, a lot of dirty pools in the water park too. Because of the cold unpleasant to swim unless it was very sunny. The Breakfast was a disaster. Too crowded with people and just very basic chinese food. We ended up only eating raw vegetables and fruit the one time we went. We were also told a bedrail or a crib would be arranged for our daughter, but that didn't happen. We ended up using the sofa in the room to create some sort of barrier to assure she wouldn't fall out the bed and hit the hard floor. The Restaurants around at the time all took 40 minutes or more to serve us anything, repeatedly forgetting drinks and dishes, despite the fact that there was barely any people there. The portions are fairly small as well and quite pricy considering. We ended up just ordering online instead from other restaurants. It was nice our Daughter had a big play place to enjoy at least, the large one they have on site indoors. Besides that, I do regret choosing this location. It was for our Daughter, but unfortunately not much around she could enjoy properly. The smell of urine when you walk around is a bit off putting as well, many kids pee on the streets, as well as right next to the roof top sandpit. I Understand it's hard to control kids needing to go to the bathroom, but because of this it would have been nice if the hotel chose to raise the standard of their overall cleaning. Also a little bit inconvenient that the rooms only have one chair on the balconies. Fairly quiet when you're in the room, that was nice the least.

Хорошо нет тараканов. У нас был 29й этаж, вид на море шикарный. Ванная комната грязная и в ней мерзко находится, волосы черные, мы сняли на сутки и оставаться далее не стали. Балкон микромалюсенький, соседи за перегородкой будто у вас в комнате сидят)) обои ободранные, матрас полный ппц, страшно смотреть.
