I had such a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything felt comfortable, welcoming, and well taken care of. The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and professional throughout our stay. They were always willing to assist whenever we needed something, and their warm attitude really made a difference. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for a relaxing stay. Everything was well maintained, and the bed was especially comfortable, which made it easy to get a good night’s sleep after a long day. I also appreciated how clean the bathroom and other areas of the room were. You can really tell that the hotel puts effort into maintaining a good standard of cleanliness. The location was also convenient, making it easy for us to get around and access nearby places. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and relaxing, which made our stay even more enjoyable. What I appreciated most was the overall service. Sometimes a hotel can have beautiful rooms, but it’s the staff and the little details that really make the experience memorable. Here, we felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after. Any questions or requests we had were handled politely and efficiently. Overall, I’m very happy with our stay and would definitely consider coming back again. It was a comfortable, pleasant, and stress-free experience from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with friendly staff and great service. We visited Cebu's second best premium hotel over the weekend to relax and celebrate my wife's birthday quietly. The room was pleasant, but the wooden floor tiles occasionally felt hollow, indicating there might be an issue. I requested butler service, yet it took several hours and multiple follow-ups, which was disappointing for a five-star hotel. The breakfast was underwhelming, especially considering Fili Hotel, a more affordable and superior option than Nustar. I didn't enjoy their breakfast at all. The pools were under renovation; fortunately, one was available for swimming with the kids, but it would have been better if all facilities were operational. Overall, the hotel's readiness seemed lacking, and the staff appeared passive. During check-in, the staff's attitude was unhelpful; the lady was stressed and didn't explain breakfast details or hours, merely handing over the key. I likely won't stay at Nustar again and would prefer Fili if I return. For family stays, I recommend Fili over Nustar.

The service throughout our stay was impeccable, and our hotel room was spotless, contributing to a comfortable and pleasant visit. We are particularly grateful for the staff's thoughtful reminder about the local celebration on our checkout day. Their timely advice to allocate extra travel time to the airport due to potential road blockages was crucial and very much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and made wonderful memories at the resort. If there's one aspect we would highlight for improvement, it would be our room allocation. We had originally booked a balcony ocean view room, but were given a room with only a partial ocean view due to high occupancy. While this was a bit disappointing, we believe this is more of a management issue rather than a reflection on the hardworking ground staff who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Overall, our experience at the resort was fantastic, and the dedication and friendliness of the staff made it unforgettable. We look forward to visiting again in the future and hope to enjoy the full ocean view we initially anticipated.

This is a hidden gem and we highly recommend this resort! Pros: - It is next to a coral reef and they provide free snorkeling equipment in great condition to use! This is the best reason to stay here, all the snorkeling you want for free and without the need to travel! - Very cozy environment with about 8 rooms only? You will have lunch and dinner with the same groups of people. - Food is delicious, slightly expensive but reasonable. From my short experience, the specials of the night tend to be nicer than the normal menu items, but they are all good regardless. - I love the resort arranged tour. We took a whale shark + secret waterfall tour, and the guide, Alex, was great. It was a personal tour (2 of us) and we had to leave at 4am (we were slightly late and left around 405-410am), and when we reached the whale shark place, it was already quite crowded and we got a queue number of 52 - still pretty good. After taking the queue number, there are a bunch of shops to shop around, but we stupidly forgot to bring any cash, and Alex was kind enough to lend us money for breakfast and souvenirs. He even helped us bargain with the street peddlers when they tried to overcharge us. When swimming with the majestic whale sharks, he used his go-pro to help us take photos and videos, so we just need to enjoy ourselves and pose. Personally, I think the whale shark experience is pretty basic, not well organized and too crowded, but Alex made the experience unforgettable with his personal touches and help. Cons: - The worst part is getting there. It took us 5.5 hours to get here from Mactan-Cebu Airport using the private transfer when we arrived around 1230pm Saturday. There was jam to get out of the airport, jam in Cebu city and road works all along the road to Granada. When we returned to the airport in Monday morning 4am, the trip took about 3 hours. - The massage is in a room with a nice sea view, but the massage was very gentle and I prefer something stronger to sooth the body aches (from sitting in the car for over 5 hours). So I guess this is up to personal preferences. - The snorkeling was great, but it could be a bit intimidating when it's just the 2 of us snorkeling unsupervised in a large open sea. We did not face any danger, but also did not dare to venture too far and for too long as we city folks are worried about snakes and jellyfishes. We do see fishes jumping out of the sea in the distance, and this could be a sign of predators nearby. - Adults only. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would love to bring our kids here in the future and spend more time here. However, with their adults only policy, we won't be able to do that.

From the reception to the poolside attendants, everyone was warm and welcoming. The pool guys were particularly nice, adding to the relaxed vibe of the resort. However, I did find that the food needs significant improvement. While the dining options were ample, the quality and variety fell short of expectations. To truly enhance the guest experience, I believe that more attention to the menu and food preparation is necessary. This aspect would play a crucial role in my decision to return. Another area that requires attention is the communication regarding trips and activities. Unfortunately, we often found ourselves headed to the wrong locations, only to be redirected to another part of the island. Clearer information about where to go for excursions would be greatly beneficial for guests. In summary, Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is a beautiful destination with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. However, improvements in food quality and clearer communication regarding activities are essential for a more satisfying experience. With these adjustments, I could see myself returning, as the stunning views and peaceful environment are truly commendable.

Had a wonderful stay at Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu! The resort offers breathtaking ocean views, a beautiful infinity pool, and spacious, comfortable rooms. The staff were warm, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome throughout our stay. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind, with excellent facilities and a peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious island getaway in Cebu!

The location of the hotel is very convenient, it's located beside SM City Cebu, just a few minutes walking distance only. Hotel facilities are good and room is clean & tidy, hotel staffs are friendly too. Buffet breakfast & dinner have variety of choices, can't even decide what to eat first😆😆😆

Solea Resort is an ideal destination for families. The resort offers an impressive range of amenities, including multiple swimming pools that kept everyone entertained throughout the day. The kids especially loved the free access to the water park, inflatable water features, and kayaks. The rooms are a decent size with comfortable layouts for a family stay. However, housekeeping could improve, the bathroom sink area had visible mineral buildup, water stains, and grime on the faucet that needed a deeper cleaning. Overall, it is a fantastic, action-packed resort for kids and families, provided the staff pays a bit more attention to bathroom cleanliness.

service was consistenr from frotn dwsk accomodating my many requests to the dining area service crew and gift shoppe all sp accomodating and friendly to adjust to my needs. I even got an early check in! I lile how this place is small enough where everyone can access fhe pool and beach and restos and rooms in just a few meters… I had a great time and will come back again since this place was so easy and realxed for me with a pwd child. room to imrpove: aircon units can be upgraded but it was good enough for our stay

We spent a lovely family holiday at Solea Seaview Resort during the Chinese New Year break and had a really enjoyable stay. The staff were consistently helpful and welcoming. Our room was a good size, in reasonable condition, with clean bed linen and towels. The balcony offered a beautiful sea view, which we truly appreciated every day. Breakfast was also very nice, with a wide variety of food options to choose from. The absolute highlight for us was the number of swimming pools and the fantastic aquapark — free of charge for guests — plus a trampoline area for a small additional fee. The children absolutely loved it! The hotel also encourages guests to leave reviews, and as a lovely compliment, my son received free access to the children’s playroom — such a thoughtful touch. The beach is not the most Instagrammable, but the sea was perfectly fine for swimming practice. One small downside was that the gym operates only from 8am to 8pm, so late-night training isn’t possible if that’s your preference. Overall, a solid 4 out of 5 — good value for money and a great option for a family holiday.
