I love to swim and the swimming pool was great (open 6am-10 pm).
The breakfast was also good, not the best but I was satisfied.
Even though I arrived to Cebu at 2am, there was no any problem since their front desk is open 24h. And also when I did my check out, they have big lockers in the 1st floor for storage your suitcases (no additional cost)."

VVanessaChengOur stay at the resort was truly delightful, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and accommodating assistance as they made every effort to fulfill our requests. The added amenities in the garden, including archery, badminton, and a chess set, were a fantastic bonus that enhanced our experience.
The service throughout our stay was impeccable, and our hotel room was spotless, contributing to a comfortable and pleasant visit. We are particularly grateful for the staff's thoughtful reminder about the local celebration on our checkout day. Their timely advice to allocate extra travel time to the airport due to potential road blockages was crucial and very much appreciated.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time and made wonderful memories at the resort. If there's one aspect we would highlight for improvement, it would be our room allocation. We had originally booked a balcony ocean view room, but were given a room with only a partial ocean view due to high occupancy. While this was a bit disappointing, we believe this is more of a management issue rather than a reflection on the hardworking ground staff who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable.
Overall, our experience at the resort was fantastic, and the dedication and friendliness of the staff made it unforgettable. We look forward to visiting again in the future and hope to enjoy the full ocean view we initially anticipated.

SStan LeungCrimson Hotel has excellent staff, friendly service, and great facilities such as the bubble pool party on Saturdays and private beach snorkeling. The location is a bit far from the city, but the shuttle helps. Rooms are clean though somewhat dated, and dining in the hotel restaurants is pricey, with overall costs on the higher side.

GGordonThis is a hidden gem and we highly recommend this resort!
Pros:
- It is next to a coral reef and they provide free snorkeling equipment in great condition to use! This is the best reason to stay here, all the snorkeling you want for free and without the need to travel!
- Very cozy environment with about 8 rooms only? You will have lunch and dinner with the same groups of people.
- Food is delicious, slightly expensive but reasonable. From my short experience, the specials of the night tend to be nicer than the normal menu items, but they are all good regardless.
- I love the resort arranged tour. We took a whale shark + secret waterfall tour, and the guide, Alex, was great. It was a personal tour (2 of us) and we had to leave at 4am (we were slightly late and left around 405-410am), and when we reached the whale shark place, it was already quite crowded and we got a queue number of 52 - still pretty good. After taking the queue number, there are a bunch of shops to shop around, but we stupidly forgot to bring any cash, and Alex was kind enough to lend us money for breakfast and souvenirs. He even helped us bargain with the street peddlers when they tried to overcharge us. When swimming with the majestic whale sharks, he used his go-pro to help us take photos and videos, so we just need to enjoy ourselves and pose. Personally, I think the whale shark experience is pretty basic, not well organized and too crowded, but Alex made the experience unforgettable with his personal touches and help.
Cons:
- The worst part is getting there. It took us 5.5 hours to get here from Mactan-Cebu Airport using the private transfer when we arrived around 1230pm Saturday. There was jam to get out of the airport, jam in Cebu city and road works all along the road to Granada. When we returned to the airport in Monday morning 4am, the trip took about 3 hours.
- The massage is in a room with a nice sea view, but the massage was very gentle and I prefer something stronger to sooth the body aches (from sitting in the car for over 5 hours). So I guess this is up to personal preferences.
- The snorkeling was great, but it could be a bit intimidating when it's just the 2 of us snorkeling unsupervised in a large open sea. We did not face any danger, but also did not dare to venture too far and for too long as we city folks are worried about snakes and jellyfishes. We do see fishes jumping out of the sea in the distance, and this could be a sign of predators nearby.
- Adults only. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would love to bring our kids here in the future and spend more time here. However, with their adults only policy, we won't be able to do that.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed at the Shanghai-La Mactan Cebu for a week. The resort is absolutely gorgeous with incredible employees- everyone is helpful and courteous. The resort has multiple daily activities including snorkeling which were great. We tried most of the restaurants and they were great! Acqua which was Italian was tasty ; Buko Bar was also yummy! Highly recommended for a relaxing hotel with good pools and calm environment.

The place was extremely nice, peaceful, and relaxing, and the staff were incredibly hospitable and attentive from the moment we arrived. We especially enjoyed the breakfast in the morning was also great and satisfying. On our last night, we treated ourselves to a couple’s massage, which was absolutely awesome and the perfect way to end our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would be happy to stay here again and recommend it to others.

PPengguna TetamuI have been using Costabella for nearly 20 years and have always considered it a pleasant, well maintained hotel. In fact I even got married here! However, during my most recent stay, the experience fell noticeably short of expectations.
We booked a poolside room and, after check in, I was genuinely surprised to find that the room was on the third floor. Based on my many previous stays, I had always understood poolside rooms to be those adjacent to the pool at ground level. If you are booking a poolside room, be aware that this may not be the case and expectations should be managed accordingly.
The room itself was a little dated in style, but it was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Housekeeping was consistent throughout the stay, which helped offset the older décor.
The pool area is relatively small but generally well maintained. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded throughout the day due to the large number of day pass visitors. As a result, there were no chairs or loungers available for hotel guests for most of the day, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the beach area was clean and pleasant.
The food was the main let down. The buffet breakfast would rate no more than 4 out of 10. Much of the food had not been replenished, including empty juice and coffee stations, and what remained was cold and unappetising. However, it was better on the second day.
Dinner was equally disappointing. Several main courses were served cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen twice. In the end, we cancelled two seafood dishes altogether, as reheating raised concerns about food quality and safety. The steak, which was once a highlight of Costabella for me, was extremely tough and far below the standard I have previously enjoyed.
Overall, Costabella still has many positive qualities, but this stay did not reflect the standards I have previously associated with the resort and this will be my last visit. Unless the quality of the food and the management of guest capacity improve, I would find it difficult to recommend Costabella based on this recent experience.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaThis was my second time staying at Solea Hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of food choices, and the room rates are affordable, which makes the hotel a good value for money.
However, I was slightly disappointed with the check-in process this time. We booked three rooms, but upon arrival, only one room was available. We were allowed to check in to the first room and were asked to wait there while the other two rooms were being prepared.
Although the official check-in time is 3:00 PM, we only received the keys for the remaining two rooms at around 5:40 PM. The staff kept telling us that the room keys would be “to be followed,” but despite several follow-ups, the waiting time took around 2–3 hours, which was quite long. Since the rooms were booked online in advance, we were expecting them to be ready on time.
That said, this was the only time I experienced this issue. During my first stay, everything went smoothly and I had no complaints. I still appreciate the hotel’s amenities and affordability, and I hope the check-in process can be improved in the future.

PPengguna TetamuLiked this place. Not quite sure what was newly renovated as the room was still quite basic and no hot water to speak of. Fortunately the amenities (pools) made up for it. It’s far from other amenities for shopping etc and the shuttles are limited and generally full but grab is easy to hail. It’s a shame they don’t allow grab drivers with food in though and you have to meet them at the gate. If you don’t want this service affecting your catering business then improve your catering facilities to offer more of what people want. Highlight - pools and inflatables, beach clearly man made and more like concrete than sand. Low point - loud and noisy functions in the numerous tented venues.

MMariaJCRStaff is friendly, the location is good and they have different pools and activities for kids. Great for families. One of the pools was closed for a few days which wasn’t ideal.
Breakfast is very complete and the restaurants serve good food for a reasonable price.
I would suggest having more kid friendly toilets both in the hotel rooms and around the pool area.
