GGuest UserFirst of all i would like to say thank you to all the staff in Carpe diem especially to Donald! ;) the guy at the reception i really appreciate the helpfulness, and also the treatment he gave us it was a delightful experienced i worked in a service industry too and this is really important to have those excellent service in order to sustain the business, whoever is the owner of this hotel please do appreciate the hard-work of Donald im really glad of what he did for us during our stay, the staff are well trained, and overall the room is huge, and clean the amenities are great:)

GGuest UserThe bats and lizards on the island are the highlights. At sunset in the evening, the bats will leave the island to go out for food. Thousands of bats and the sunset take off, which is very spectacular. The hotel service is also good. When I return to the room at night, all the clothes are folded and the charging cable is rolled up and placed on the table. I live in a garden room. The room facilities are a little older, but overall it is comfortable. New houses are still being built on the island, and the new houses may be better. There are two restaurants on the island, one international restaurant and one Filipino restaurant. No brainer to go to the Filipino restaurant🍴

1. Smooth Airport Pickup: We were greeted right at the airport with a seamless transfer to the resort. The pick-up was quick, efficient, and stress-free, making the start of our vacation that much easier.
2. Warm Welcome: Upon arriving at the resort, the staff greeted us with such warmth and hospitality. The welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home, and the smiles from the team made a lasting impression.
3. Early Check-in: Since we were traveling with a 1-year-old, we were really grateful when the resort allowed us to check in early, around 9 am. It was such a thoughtful gesture, as it gave us time to settle in and rest after the flight.
4. Amazing Breakfast & Accommodating Staff: The breakfast spread was a highlight of every morning. The food was not only delicious, but the staff was incredibly accommodating to our dietary preferences. We are vegetarian, and they made sure to provide a variety of options that catered to our needs—thank you so much for that!
5. Outstanding Service by Folyca: A special shoutout to Folyca, the receptionist, who went above and beyond to help us with any questions and needs we had during our stay. Her professionalism and helpful attitude made a huge difference in our experience.

Whether you’re into golf, relaxing by the beach, or enjoying a delicious dinner by the water, there’s something for everyone here.
8. Dinner with Fire Dance: Dining at the resort’s beachfront restaurant was a magical experience. Not only did we enjoy fantastic meals, but we were also treated to a mesmerizing fire dance performance as we dined. It added such a special touch to the evening.
9. Fantastic Staff: Throughout our stay, the staff went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. Kent, Arvin, and Susan, especially, were always so humble, kind, and smiling, even when we had late-night requests for dinner or drinks. Their hospitality truly made us feel like family.

__M1381886****The hotel is located on a small road, about a 15-20 minute walk from the busiest street. It's a short distance from Zuri. I've stayed at both and each has its pros and cons. The view is still good, and breakfast is decent. The Wi-Fi is mediocre and disconnects frequently. It has its own pier, which is great for watching the sunset. However, it's easy to accidentally end up in a room near the chicken coops; those chickens really crow day and night. I asked the front desk if I could change rooms, but they said they were fully booked. Luckily, Trip.com was very helpful and arranged a room a bit further away, so I finally didn't have to listen to chickens crowing in the middle of the night.

GGuest UserThis hotel was initially a nightmare. I booked 2 rooms through Trip for adults and the kids. Upon arrival, the hotel advised that one of the rooms had been cancelled and we only had one room. All my bookings were still showing in the Trip app so neither myself or Trip had cancelled anything. I contacted Trip and they were excellent and worked very hard, but unsuccessfully to get our room back...
It was absolutely peak season and the room had been given to someone else. We were able to book a room Westown 2 nights later so the kids ended up staying at the hotel and us adults, luckily were able to find another hotel for 2 nights and then moved back to Westown hotel. When this issue occurred, I felt we were treated incredibly poorly by the hotel. They made it clear... If you book through a third party booking agency, the issue is with you..not our problem... Considering most of their bookings are probably through third parties, this attitude is poor.
Once we moved back into the hotel for the remaining 3 days, the hotel facilities were good. Swimming pools were good. There was a cafe, couple of restaurants, and small gym.
Location was 10 mins on a tricycle into the centre of town and there were always tricycles available.
A shuttle was available to and from the airport.
Negatives were as follows:
- Hotel saying we cancelled one of our rooms even though we hadn't. Kids had to stay by themselves in the hotel.
- Hotel didn't care less about us because we made the booking through a 3rd party.
- Disappointing that probably 50% of the menu foods were not available in the Filipino restaurant while we were there...usual excuse of supplier issues was always given.

KKenDucsWe recently had the pleasure of staying here, and I must say it was one of the cleanest hotels I've experienced in Palawan. The location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to access local attractions. However, there was some noise from a nearby bar late at night. It wasn't too distracting for me, especially on the higher floors, so I recommend requesting one of those if you’re sensitive to sound.
The hotel itself is well-maintained, likely due to its recent renovations. The elevator, though small, was smooth and always clean, which added to the overall pleasant experience. The bathroom was a highlight—very clean and comfortable, although I did find the water heater a bit challenging to adjust.
Each room features a smart lock and a smart TV with Netflix and other apps, which is a nice touch. The Wi-Fi was reliable, even on the highest floor, allowing for seamless browsing.
One area for improvement would be the bedding. While the mattress and pillows were decent, a thicker comforter would enhance the sleeping experience, as the provided blanket was quite thin.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While this may not be a luxury hotel, it offers excellent cleanliness and customer service, making it a great choice for travelers. I would certainly consider staying here again!

GGuest UserMantiloc resort is a paradise. If you are looking for a relaxing time in a unique spot this place is for you. The staff are so kind and helpful, they make it an amazing stay. The half day boat trip is also well worth it and one of the best parts of our trip.
The menu could do with being expanded, with more vegetarian and vegan options. Also a barista coffee option would make it perfect., though a nespresso machine was a available upon request

JJULIE FRANCESBeautiful beach location (Mariemegmeg) about 10 minutes TukTuk drive plus 10 minutes walk through ‘shopping/resort’ centre and then along the beach from El Nido port. (20-30 mins bus TukTuk from El Nido airport). Good value compared to other either very elegant accommodation or incredibly uncomfortable rustic huts or tree houses along this and neighbouring beaches. Our room and facilities were basic but there was lots of hot water in the shower, the air con worked well and the breakfast (extra cost) and meals were fine and the two-for-one cocktails at happy hour (pretty much all day) cocktails were very worthwhile. The restaurant area has fabulous views and you can sit there all day. The sea is warm, though cloudy with sand, and the trick to avoid jellyfish is not to swim when it’s been raining.

BBlade.around.the.worldUniversity /University dorm partially turned into a hotel with minimal investment. The result is mostly positive. The hotel is very photogenic so it's easy to get the impression that it's much more swanky than it actually is.. I enjoyed my stay, the staff is friendly, it's clean, surrounded by greenery and nice views. Don't let the name Hotel Palacio fool you, don't expect a palace, the hotel is modest but comfortable. Location wise, it's out of town which was no problem for me as I had prearranged a motorbike during my 7 days stay. For those pending on jeepney public transport or tricycle taxis, places like the baywalk are far away. The van I had organised to the airport early morning with the receptionist was punctually waiting for me. Everything was good. Expect a 3 star property and you won't be disappointed.
