Hotel berhampiran From Split: ATV Quad Tour with Transfer & Picnic, Split

I'm apparently in the minority giving this place only 3 stars. So I'll start with the good. The location is excellent. It's a very, very short, 5 minute walk to Old Split/Diocletian's Palace. We had a rental car, and while there isn't parking right at this place, there's a public parking lot just a short walk down the street. The place itself is located on an old historic street, in an old historic building. Though the inside has been completely modernized. Self check-in instructions were very clear and easy, and communication with the host was quick and easy. We stayed in Apartment 12, and the apartment itself was fantastic. It was clean, had a comfortable bed, a private balcony, and a full kitchen stocked with any pots/pans/utensils that you would need. There was a small table to eat at downstairs, and upstairs was a little sitting area/alcove down the hall from the bedroom. There was a small grocery store just a few steps away so cooking our own meals was extremely convenient and easy to do. The bad: The shower had almost no hot water. This might not bother some people, especially in the summer. But we were there in the winter and this definitely put a damper in our stay. The shower had, at most, 5 minutes of hot water. We had to take military style showers (turn water on to get wet, turn water off and shampoo hair, turn water back on to rinse, etc). And since the water took over 2 hours to heat back up, only one person could shower at a time. The water heater had indicator lights on it to show you how much hot water it had, and we noticed that just from washing our hands in warm water, the lights would start to indicate that the hot water supply was already depleting. It seemed like a water heater that was meant for a sink, and not a shower. On the second and third days of our stay, we actually carried hot water up from the kitchen (separate water heater) in pots to assist in the ”rinse” part of our showers. Again, maybe this isn't as annoying in the hotter summer months, but I do expect to have hot showers when I stay at places with modern amenities. I only see one other review here that mentions the lack of hot water so maybe this isn't a common problem. Perhaps the water heater was just broken when we were there. Unfortunately, I probably wouldn't stay here again simply because of the shower. But I almost hate to say that because everything else was wonderful.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at the hotel. It’s ideally positioned for the Riva and ferry ports which are both less than 5 mins walk away. From the moment we arrived we immediately felt welcomed by all the staff. The views from the rooms were fantastic and they were clean and comfortable. The spread at breakfast was perfect. Being the first time visit to Split I had lots of questions and the staff at the reception were always able and willing to help. I’d highly recommend Hotel Luxe and this would be my first choice on return. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a memorable one.

Un excelente hotel para descansar y relaj****. El servicio es excelente, el personal es amable, la comida es excelente. El centro de spa es un auténtico relax y las habitaciones siempre están limpias. Todas las recomendaciones.

Booked this place over on *********** on which it does not specify that these rooms are student accommodation. Extremely expensive for what you get. My friend and I were there for six days, we did not get new towels, there were no shampoos, no lamps in the room, we couldn't close the blinds fully because they had installed some kind of air con in the room. While we were there the floor under us was packed with a 6 grade school trip so all we could hear were kids screaming, they would also play in the fire escape and elevators in which case we could never get down to the lobby area. Not to mention how far away from town this is, way too overpriced and rude.

Best bits: small boutique hotel - only 47 rooms set in well manicured gardens; friendly staff throughout the hotel; fantastic pool/jacuzzi/spa and comfortable loungers; excellent breakfast and snack menu for lunch and good evening a la carte menu; small supermarket/bakery /pharmacy opposite; located 20 minutes outside Split but easy access by local bus (stop outside hotel €2.50/person) or Uber €8 (cheaper than taxi); beside one of the main archaeological sites. Bad bits: none really but more clothes hangers in wardrobes would help!!

I contacted this hotel many months ago to inquire about our group reservation before and after our sailing trip. From the first moment, the interaction with Antonio has been outstanding, not only helping us with the reservation arrangements, but also with wonderful suggestions on things to do during our stay. This hotel is gem, great location, great rooms, great F&B options, great service! Nothing to fault! If you want to avoid Split's crowds and high prices, this is the place to be!!!! Lovely hotel. We stayed 5 nights. Staff are very helpful and enthusiastic. Pool, restaurant and sun loungers all very close - with beautiful views of the Adriatic. Food at the hotel is excellent - good choice for breakfast and also a la carte evening menu. Places we visited: - Split (local bus - stops outside the hotel) - Omis (local bus the other way to Split). Nice location with a great trip by boat up the river - Local swimming very good close to Hotel Split, with facilities nearby (only a couple of hundred metres away) Thanks to all of the staff for being so helpful.
