Last year, I wrote a pretty positive review for this place. I can't say that the second go around was a good one. The problem? Well, there was plenty....when we first checked in, the front desk person told my wife that they were short handed, and that the blankets were still being washed, and that they will bring one up once they are finished. O.k., no problem......IF that was the only problem! Once we got up there, the window was wide open (there was NO screen!), the room literally looked like it was only half cleaned. No one touched the shower, cuz there was clumps of hair on the bottom of the shower, and there were ZERO clean towels. The bed was made, but there was a giant blood stain on the pillow case. There was no toilet paper on the rolls. IF the floor was vacuumed, it wasn't done very well, and I found some debris on the side of the bed (a bottle cap, some used tissues, etc...). The maintenance is also a bit lacking...the elevator inspection due date expired last year (the poster hangs in the elevator...HELLO!!!), and this is the SECOND time I have seen black mode on the ceiling (seen it in the room I had last year as well). The only things that are keeping this review from being a ONE star, is that the room didn't stink, it was quiet (except for the trains that pass by every couple of hours), there was a fridge and microwave, the toilet was clean, and I didn't see any creepy crawlies of any kind. I can honestly say that I will be searching for a new budget hotel the next time I visit Springfield....
