Cari Hotel 2-Star di Xiahe

Lovely new modern homestay less than 2km down the Main Street. Comfortable beds and linen first class. Less than ten minutes walk from bus station or 25 minutes walk to Labrang Monastery. Hailed taxis shared with others to monastery costs Y2 per person. The lovely young couple were very helpful, even taxiing at reasonable price to the grasslands and picked us up when we sent WeChat message. We were here in 2000. It’s changed heaps since then to a bigger town and more infrastructure. The people are friendly, with the younger generation wanting to try out their English. Worth a 3 hour bus ride from Lanzhou to see the monastery and go for a hike into the highlands.

環境：房間裝修很新很贊，廁所和淋浴間乾濕分離，毛巾很柔軟，床墊也很舒服，枕頭很柔軟（對於頸椎不太舒服的人來説，如果枕頭能再矮一點就更nice了）酒店在一個小巷子裏，老闆會幫忙留車位。, 周邊：步行十分鐘就能到拉卜楞寺，周圍有很多藏餐廳，不過南方人還是更喜歡吃炒菜米飯（推薦附近一家叫川味一家人的餐館，適合南方人）, 服務：必須滿分，老闆和客服小姐姐都很熱心，晚上還贈送了當地的酸奶。謝謝老闆送的小綿羊掛飾，閨女很喜歡！, PS：我訂的這個房型有個小桌子，很適合旅行也得被迫帶筆記本加班的牛馬……

Extremely charming Tibetan-style hotel. It was decorated very beautifully, with lovely wooden furniture and rugs, and corridors full of plants. We got the cheapest room, with a shared bathroom, but even this room was very spacious, and the shared bathroom was nearby. It was warm in the room, with the option to open the window to cool it down. The staff were very accommodating, and helped us book a taxi and answered our questions via Google translate. The hotel has a delicious restaurant, where we ate both breakfast and dinner, including lots of ******* food prepared freshly. The location is perfect for visiting Labrang monastery - they do English tours there even in March.

We had such a good stay here. The rooms were very clean and cosy, and they were heated really well for the winter weather. The window to our room opened our onto the common area which is a beautiful room filled with plants and seats and pools of water. The whole building fills up with light and makes it a really nice place to stay. The location is a little far away from the main area of town, but this is not a problem at all since taxis and mopeds cost less than 5 yuan to get to town and Labrang monastery. Do not let the location put you off. The owner was incredibly friendly and very helpful. He made us breakfast and organized taxis to get us around. He gave us a great recommendation to go to the Bajiaocheng Ancient Site (picture attached), which I recommend EVERYONE does, it was amazing and our host organized it all for us. I would really recommend staying here. There is also a crazy kitten running about the place who we loved. Oh and you can do laundry free of charge.

The hosts went above and beyond to make my visit exceptional. They arranged a private yak butter tea-making class with a local ******* woman, recommended excellent local restaurants, and even gifted me a thoughtful local souvenir. The room itself was comfortable and equipped with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The location is ideal for anyone seeking peace and quiet, making it especially well-suited for a restful getaway while visiting the monastery. The tranquil surroundings ensured a great night’s sleep every night. The hosts also offer convenient transportation to nearby attractions, which made exploring the area effortless. Their hospitality and attention to detail truly set this place apart. I would recommend staying here without hesitation.

住進康桑之家，才算真正邂逅藏地的温柔與治癒。民宿整體是原汁原味的藏式院落風格，淡淡的藏香縈繞，經幡、雕花、民族軟裝處處盡顯用心，每一處角落都充滿人文氣息。客房採光很好，乾淨無異味，高原必備的保暖、熱水都很到位，入住格外安心。店家十分熱忱，待人温和，閑暇時還能聊聊當地風土人情，晨起的簡餐樸實可口。遠離喧囂，靜謐愜意，在這裏慢下來，感受藏區獨有的寧靜，是一趟旅行裏最温暖的落腳點。

Very convenient location. Just walking distance to Labrang monestry. Really nice place and nice view from the hotel. Breakfast is nice and front desk attitude is friendly. Highly recommend. If you like to try some ******* style hotel, this will be the best option. Thanks

The dorm was very clean and equipped with a kettle, which was nice. I was the only guest during my stay. As mentioned in the other reviews, the dorm is located in the basement and you have to walk a bit to reach the toilet. The „shower“ is located across the front desk. It’s a small room where the hotel is storing their cleaning equipment, so showering there is a quite dirty and unpleasant experience. As there are so many dorms in the basement (I would guess 50+ beds), I wonder how they would handle the situation if the hotel is fully booked. Overall I would recommend staying there for one night, if you are not picky.

The hotel is extremely close to the monastery. Some people at the reception speak english and they can book you a private tour to visit the grasslands and the monasteries outside the city that otherwise would be unreacheables for 400rmb per vehicle. The room is big and the beds are warm.
