Very cool space -- all glass inside and outside, with nice views of the temple complex from some rooms. Decor is also very tasteful and hints at ******* culture. All that open space can get cold -- but we were given plenty of blankets and space heaters. We were lucky to be completely alone in the entire hotel, though I can imagine it could also get noisy with other guests and all the glass exposure. Staff is super kind, took all our preferences into account and were willing to arrange our stay there even though it would have been simpler for them to put us up in the main building. Included food was attentively prepared and kindly served, and oh those cats are so sweet and fun!

We absolutely loved our stay at 山古民宿 Shangu Homestay. The room was spacious, well presented in ******* style, and kept wonderfully warm with underfloor heating. The window-side lounge area was so cozy that we didn’t want to leave after three nights. Dinner was a highlight—the ******* hotpot was delicious, with fresh yak meat, vegetables, and noodles. Breakfast included fruit, ******* butter tea, and tsampa, giving us a real taste of local traditions. The host was incredibly welcoming and shared fascinating stories about ******* culture, nomadic life, and even how to make incense. During our stay, it snowed heavily, and our children had a fantastic time playing in the snow with the host. It was not just accommodation, but a cultural journey filled with warmth and unforgettable memories. Highly recommended! 我們非常喜歡山古民宿！房間充滿西藏風格，寬敞舒適，還有地暖讓整個空間非常溫暖。窗邊的坐臥區特別舒服，我們住了三個晚上，離開時還依依不捨。晚餐的藏式火鍋令人驚艷，新鮮的氂牛肉、蔬菜和麵條都非常美味。早餐提供水果、藏式酥油茶和糌粑，讓我們真切感受到藏族的飲食文化。 民宿主人非常熱情，分享了許多關於藏族文化、遊牧生活以及製作藏香的故事，讓我們收穫滿滿。在住宿期間還遇上一場大雪，孩子和民宿主人一起玩雪，笑聲不斷，留下了難忘的回憶。這次的體驗不僅是住宿，更像是一場深度的文化之旅，我們非常推薦！

Incredible stay at the Xicheng Inn. The hotel is very cozy with fascinating decor. I loved spending time in the third-floor library, filled with cultural artifacts, games, and books – you'll never get bored! The hospitality from the hotel staff is also unmatched. I stayed alone but never felt lonely. They take guests on walks around the city to discover ******* culture. I recommend staying here not only for the comfort of the hotel but also for the wonderfully warm atmosphere. 在Xicheng Inn 的入住体验令人难忘。酒店装饰别致温馨，三楼的图书室尤其迷人——里面摆满了文化工艺品、游戏和书籍，待上一整天都不会无聊！酒店员工的待客之道无可挑剔，我虽是独自旅行，却从未感到孤单。他们会带客人漫步古城，领略藏地文化风情。我强烈推荐这里，不仅因为舒适的住宿环境，更因那份宾至如归的温暖氛围。

The location is quite far from the bus station, and unfortunately as it was peak season no taxi could take us due to the traffic jam - our only option was to walk the 3km with our bags. There are not many restaurants very close by as it is in a very quiet part of the city. However the location is very convenient for visiting the monastery, just a short walk away. The window for the room looks into the internal courtyard, which you need to be conscious of in regards to privacy.

We are from Singapore, My son and I had one night satisfying stay in Yanou Sangke Camp . It is located on a beautiful and tranquil grassland. Lying comfortably in the clean and cozy wooden cabin, we could gaze out the window and enjoy the rolling mountains in the distance and the lush greenery nearby. Beside the cabin flows a winding river, its water moving gently and sparkling under the sunlight. Everything felt so peaceful, relaxing, and idyllic. The camp owner and staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming. They helped transport our luggage to the cabin. The cabin restaurant was also charming and cozy, allowing guests to enjoy delicious meals while admiring the scenic views outside the window. In the evening, there was a campfire gathering at 8 p.m., which added to the wonderful atmosphere. Even my son, who is usually quite particular and hard to please when it comes to accommodation, was extremely satisfied with our stay here. 燕鸥桑科营地位于美丽而静谧的草原上， 躺在干净整洁的木屋里， 看窗外，远处山峦起伏， 近处绿意盎然。 木屋旁有一条曲折的小河， 河水缓缓流过， 河面上闪着细碎的光！ 一切是那么的美好而松弛！ 营地老板和服务人员都很热情 ，把我们的行李拉到木屋， 木屋餐厅也很温馨， 用餐的同时可以欣赏窗外的风景。晚上8 点也有篝火晚会 。 非常满意的住宿 , 强力推荐👍👍👍

We had such a good stay here. The rooms were very clean and cosy, and they were heated really well for the winter weather. The window to our room opened our onto the common area which is a beautiful room filled with plants and seats and pools of water. The whole building fills up with light and makes it a really nice place to stay. The location is a little far away from the main area of town, but this is not a problem at all since taxis and mopeds cost less than 5 yuan to get to town and Labrang monastery. Do not let the location put you off. The owner was incredibly friendly and very helpful. He made us breakfast and organized taxis to get us around. He gave us a great recommendation to go to the Bajiaocheng Ancient Site (picture attached), which I recommend EVERYONE does, it was amazing and our host organized it all for us. I would really recommend staying here. There is also a crazy kitten running about the place who we loved. Oh and you can do laundry free of charge.

Alojamiento bien ubicado frente al monasterio y con todo lo necesario. Edificio tibetano auténtico y personal amable. Nos ayudaron con todo y resolvieron todas nuestras dudas.

The hotel is extremely close to the monastery. Some people at the reception speak english and they can book you a private tour to visit the grasslands and the monasteries outside the city that otherwise would be unreacheables for 400rmb per vehicle. The room is big and the beds are warm.
