This was the most incredible experience. Dedicated staff and hotel that is committed to providing an authentic and relaxing experience. The amenities, onsen and food were outstanding.

非常驚喜！！！ 如果想享受一次真正的日式温泉度假服務，這裡是不二之選。 首先，旅館非常新，乾淨，安靜，新穎的日式裝修，感受到每一個細節都用心在打造。泡下温泉那一刻，感覺箱根原來這麼美好！ 其次，我看之前的評論提到交通不便，其實不然！因為一般攻略都建議大家買箱根兩日交通票，5000日元/人，可以無限次乘坐箱根的8種交通工具。我們跟着地圖，從箱根湯本一直玩到桃園台，再從桃園台1號站台坐10分鐘巴士到台ヶ岳下車就到了，很方便的呢。 最後，從酒店門口的車站乘坐小田急快速車去御殿場，建議大家頭一天先確認車站的發車時刻，通常1小時才有一趟。大概40分鐘就到。都是可以用交通票免費去。 真心推薦大家選擇這家店！ PS:在箱根湯本站有寄送行李服務，小件1000日元/件，可以把行李直接送到指定的箱根範圍的酒店。這個服務不要太好。

Pastikan anda memilih bilik pemandangan tasik yang tidak dapat dikalahkan di Bangunan Timur atau Barat! Hotel ini direka oleh artis terkenal, termasuk karya Togo Murano pada tahun 1978. Kerusi angsa merah yang terkenal dan sofa di dalam bilik tetamu penuh dengan rasa kontemporari. Kolam air panas dilengkapi sepenuhnya. Jangan risau tentang perjalanan yang bergelombang. Mata air panas dan makanan yang lazat serta-merta menghilangkan kepenatan hari itu. Satu-satunya kelemahan ialah jurang antara perkhidmatan lama dan baharu membawa perasaan yang sama sekali berbeza. Komunikasi bahasa adalah masalah biasa semasa melancong di Jepun, tetapi latihan hotel untuk pekerja baharu perlu diperkukuhkan dengan segera.

Excellent location in Hakone - just opposite the train station and in the middle of Hakone town Rooms have been renovated and modernized Breakfast is fine but the food spread is average. Highly recommended

Yama No Chaya has its own beauty and serenity. I personally don’t find it hard to locate - 2 bus stops away from Hakone Yumoto station + a 5 minutes walk are worth the stay. (Bus service stopped for one of the days due to bad weather and we walked for 20 minutes to Hakone Yumoto Station - all good) The team is very hospitable - they also have some English and Chinese speaking staff otherwise simple English is not an issue to communicate. Our butler - Sandip always carry a smile with him, and he ensured we are very well taken care of. Every morning, the team will prepare heat pack and umbrellas for us (it was raining and snowing). In the evening, they made tea and prepared snacks (vary from mochi to sushi) for us upon our returned. The room we booked is Yamano Ichigo (main wing) - just nice for 2. The viewing platform was where we relaxed every evening and we soaked our tiredness away in our very own private onsen at the basement. Despite of having our own private onsen, I still went to visit 3 other public onsen within the Ryokan - you will not be disappointed. Our room came with daily breakfast and we added on dinner for 1 night. I must say the chef and culinary team put in their passion and effort to prepare all the dishes. It’s not common for a visitor like me to taste Kaisekai cuisine which I enjoyed very much. You need to take time and an empty stomach to full experience it :) However, my partner and I weren’t used to heavy breakfast and our butler noticed it - we get to change to western style for the rest of the stay which was equally delicious. We are thankful that we minimised food wastage. Overall, we felt pampered during our stay at Yama no Chaya :) I will return again in the future when I visit Hakone.

It is not located near the train station. In return, it is a quiet place to relax. The hotel does not have a small shop to sell ice cream or milk. Sometimes, people would want to eat dairy products after onsen. The

Had a great stay here! Service was warm and they made sure that we had everything we needed during the stay. Rooms were all filled up but the inn still felt intimate and comfy for us. We booked the room with a personal onsen and I would highly recommend choosing that for all day soaking. Breakfast and dinner was included with free flow of soft drinks and alcohol, we had a large spread every meal. The service staff were stellar and as non japanese speaking visitors, they were patiently guiding us on what to do during meals and were available whenever we had queries! We were accompanies throughout our stay and as first time ryokan visitors we had a blast. Would recommend this place for affordable private onsen experience!

Hi everyone, It was very beautiful place to stay, very peaceful, clean and comfortable. Large room, beautiful view and onsen was very good. To those not travelling by car, you need to get a bus Hakone freepass to get around. You can purchase it online, this is a big help. One of the biggest problem was when we arrived the bus station at bus stop no. 252 ( Sengoku-kogen), we called the hotel to arrange to be pick up from the bus station no. 252, we have terrible language problems. They don't understand where was bus stop 252. They don't recognise there is a coffee shop, Lawson and little police station. Finally we have to pull our luggageas all the way to the hotel. Majority of the road was uphill and very little lighting ... Near bus stop number 252, you can see Lawson, a coffee shop and little police station. On the second day, the shuttle bus service took us out to the musuem. We walked back from the museums, it took about 90mins to walk back to the hotel. We were told the bus ticket have to purchase at the counter Tokendai. We were stucked in the hotel for two days, because we really don't know where to apply which bus tickets. On the third day, the hotel shuttle took us to another musuem, we were very thankful a lady from a musuem inform us we can get the ticket Hakone free pass online. On the fourth day, we just realised Tokendai ( cruise) very close to the hotel. Luckily we managed to get around for the last day of our stay. Overall we enjoyed the stay. The receptionists were very polite and tried to help. We have communication breakdown, they were continually apologises. Big thank you for the trip.com to solve the problem.

Need to walk a bit from the train station but there is a shuttle bus from here to the train station. Customer service was great and enjoyed the bath outdoor in rainy weather.

Large resort in the scenic Hakone area with a pleasing garden view of Mt. Fuji. The Hotel Green Plaza Hakone can be reached from Odawara Station via a 50 minute bus ride up a winding mountain road. It has easy access to the Ropeway's Ubako stop, from which you can get to Lake Ashi and other tourist places. The hotel is not new, but its rooms are decent and quite large by local standards. It offers wedding services and has good amenities including a spa and public bath. While it's somewhat isolated from other shops and restaurants, guests can enjoy a sumptuous buffet style breakfast and dinner with an extensive choice of Japanese foods. The service when my wife and I were there was beyond reproach and we enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, the Ropeway was a disappointment, since views were completely hidden by a thick fog. We did get some memorable views of Mt. Fuji rising out of the mist.
