Stayed one night at the Hyatt Centric Chengdu and left genuinely impressed. The hotel strikes a nice balance between modern design and warmth and the room was well-appointed, clean. What stood out most was the staff. Yuki in particular was exceptionally friendly and helpful, she went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed, offered thoughtful local recommendations, and did so with genuine warmth rather than rehearsed hospitality. That kind of attentiveness is rare and made a real difference to the experience. There is also a schnauzer called Lucky, and is a residnet dog at the hotel. Super cute! Breakfast was great, lots of Chengdu delicacy as options and great western choices too. This is definitely my top choice for a Chengdu stay!

This resort is nothing short of amazing and I would definitely rate this resort 10/10! I have a young toddler aged 18MO & elderly parents above 70YO during this stay and we absolutely loved our stay here. Value-for-money (we stayed during off-peak season, weekday, about RMB1000/night for our original room type), relatively new, clean & big rooms. Some noteworthy details: - Service is top-notched. Staff were friendly & very helpful. We could see that they really put in their heart into the work they do. They even gave our little one a panda toy & she loves it - a really nice gesture by the resort. - The resort is located at Jintang, a hot spring precinct. With Trip.com, we booked the hotel bundle/package and it was fantastic. The key items in the package include: (a) A free strawberry picking experience at a nearby humble farm called 许姐草莓采摘. Each booking entitles you to 500g worth of strawberries (transport at own expense, only about RMB10 by Didi). The strawberries were big and juicy, we were lucky cos they are in season now! (b) 40-min Himalayan Salt Therapy/Bath for 1 pax/room (c) Outdoor hot spring experience for the whole family (my 18MO loves it too!). There are many pools to choose from & we could find one which was not too hot for our baby. This is otherwise chargeable from RMB228/pax to RMB468/family of 2A1C. (d) Bicycle rental, but we didn’t try it as it was too cold. - Resort looks amazing, both indoors & outdoors! There were a number of activities for children to enjoy too but our naughty one is too young to appreciate it. Older kids will love them. - We also loved the hotel’s concept of having complimentary bottles of distilled water etc. which is really important to us as we needed a lot of water for our baby’s food. This meant that that we did not have to go to the trouble of finding a supermarket, which is quite a distance away. - We managed to snag a free upgrade to a Spring 2-Bedroom Villa due to our Accor Gold membership & it’s low peak season. All villas come with private pool - ours was available both on L1 & L2. - Hotel uses quality furnishing & Toto toilet, definitely a plus. Water pressure is great too. - We had all our meals at L’Orange as there are no nearby eateries & our time is limited due to our baby. The steamboat set is pricey but highly recommended! The fish & lamb meat (can be changed to beef at diner’s request) were fresh & really good. We liked all the other meat dishes too except for the dumplings. If you have Accor Plus membership, the usual discounts are available too. The hotel breakfast is also at the same restaurant. Breakfast selection was good even though there were not many guests. Areas of improvement: - Resort was able to provide a baby cot for our 18MO. However, the mattress was a little hard & the cot was creaky, it kept our baby awake. - The air-con ventilation vents are directly above the baby cot and it became too cold for our baby in the middle of the night. Couldn’t adjust the temperature no matter what. The staff managed to made it warmer the following night but it resulted in some loud noises, probably issues with the damper. - Rooms can be a little cleaner (e.g we saw dust balls on the floor). Thank you Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu! We had a great stay here. Will definitely be back!

Menginap di VOCO Hotel di Chunxi Road, Chengdu adalah kejutan yang menyenangkan! Bangunan hotel ini sangat cantik, dengan lobi gingko yang indah dan tangga berputar ikonik yang sangat estetik untuk difoto. Biliknya luas dan terang, dengan tingkap besar yang menghadap pemandangan bandar. Katilnya lembut dan selesa, dan minibar pula lengkap dengan pelbagai pilihan. Apabila menginap di sini, anda juga dapat menikmati hidangan teh petang bufet mewah. Lokasi hotel ini sangat dekat dengan pusat membeli-belah, jadi anda boleh pulang ke hotel untuk berehat sebentar bila-bila masa anda letih membeli-belah. Kakitangan hotel sangat mesra dan prihatin, dan perkhidmatan butler mereka juga sangat teliti. Saya pasti akan datang lagi lain kali.

We had a very good overall experience at this hotel in Chengdu. The building itself is beautiful and very impressive from the outside. The location is one of its strongest points: the hotel is just a short walk from Taikoo Li and IFS, which can be reached in around 10–15 minutes at most. There is also a metro station very close to the hotel, as well as several convenience stores such as 7-Eleven, making the area extremely practical for exploring the city. When we first entered the room we had been assigned, we immediately noticed a strong smell of cigarette smoke. However, as soon as we informed the staff, they handled the situation very quickly and professionally and immediately provided us with another room without the smell. We really appreciated how efficiently they solved the problem. Our room was located on the 43rd floor and had an amazing panoramic view over Chengdu, which was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The room itself was spacious and still looked elegant, although you can tell that the interiors and furniture are a little dated and have not been renovated recently. In our specific room, the air conditioning was quite difficult to regulate: it often felt either too cold or too warm, and finding a comfortable temperature was not always easy. The refrigerator also did not seem to be working, although this did not cause us any major inconvenience during our stay. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to try the breakfast, so we cannot give an opinion on that. Overall, the hotel offers a beautiful building, an excellent location, impressive city views and very helpful staff. Despite a few aspects of the room that could benefit from some renovation or maintenance, we appreciated our stay, especially thanks to the professionalism and responsiveness of the staff.

Our stay was simply perfect. From check-in to check-out staff has been really awesome, kind and speaking English. The design of the hotel is gorgeous in a urban mid century modern style, and I love it. Room was super clean, large with a stunning view over the city. Location: can't be any better. Scents of a lovely perfume when you walk in. Everything details in mint condition. We loved the shower. Breakfast at 45th floor is magnificent and so delicious. European and Asian style with the best food! We couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended!

Here’s a revised version of the review with that detail smoothly added: ⸻ Xingye Snow Mountain Manor – Comfortable Stay with Hot Springs, but Snow-Dependent Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is located about a 30–40 minute drive from Xiling Snow Mountain. We chose this hotel mainly for a skiing trip, with the added bonus of having hot spring facilities on-site. We stayed from 28–30 December 2025. Unfortunately, while there was a small amount of snow at the top of the mountain, there wasn’t enough snow for skiing, which is worth keeping in mind as snow conditions are very weather-dependent. The hotel itself has good facilities, including hot springs, sauna, and a swimming pool. The hot spring experience felt private and relaxing, as there are multiple smaller tubs designed for individuals or family groups, rather than one large communal pool. There is also a dedicated changing area with showers, plenty of towels, and hair dryers, which is well-organised and convenient after soaking. The surrounding area is quite deserted, with only a few old shops across the road selling BBQ skewers and basic convenience store snacks. The police station is immediately next door, which adds a sense of security. Dining options nearby are very limited, so the hotel restaurant is the most decent and reliable place to eat. We particularly enjoyed their non-spicy chicken and mushroom hotpot, priced at 368 yuan, which was generous enough for a family of 3–4 people. The breakfast was also yummy and a highlight of our stay. One nice extra was the complimentary photo session with a professional photographer. You receive 3 photos for free, and if you choose to purchase all the digital photos taken, it costs around 400 yuan for approximately 43 photos. Transportation was one downside. We didn’t enjoy using Didi in this area. On the way to Xiling Snow Mountain, the Didi fare was 40 yuan, but the driver asked for an additional 30 yuan to cover his return trip. For the return journey, the driver didn’t accept the fixed price, used the meter instead, and requested an extra 20 yuan for parking fees at the mountain. For reference, the cable car prices at Xiling Snow Mountain are 320 yuan per person per day to the top, or 250 yuan per person per day to the halfway point. If you stay at hotels near the cable car, you only pay for the ride once. Since Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is farther away, you have to pay the same cable car rate every day, which adds up. Overall, Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is a comfortable hotel with good hot spring facilities and decent food, but it’s best suited for travellers who value relaxation over convenience. If skiing is your main goal, staying closer to the cable car may be more cost-effective and practical.

Lovely hotel. Fantastic location. (No pool despite photos suggesting on the trip site). Great hub for the vibrant Taikoo Li area. Great breakfast. Very helpful staff. Intelligent toilet (Don't be misled by other review comments which seemed to show a video of a toilet malfunction, that was just bidet ”user error” the toilets are pre warmed and come with Japanese level sophistication and functions) however they also have unnecessarily sanitised plastic wrapped towels refreshed every day which seems rather wasteful albeit 100% sanitised. Hotel delivery robot and all the usual facilities. Great base for a Panda stop over (30 min Didi), also check out Jin Li (short 5-10 min Didi) for some traditional tourist fun. The evening walk around the hotel is amazing if you like shopping and dining. Chengdu surprised me with its up market sophistication and the hotel mirrored this.

We stayed at Yunshuijian Longxing Courtyard in Pengzhou for ten days while visiting family in the area, and overall we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel has a particularly attractive setting right next to Longxing Temple and is very centrally located. Rather than being one large hotel building, the property consists of several smaller one- and two-storey buildings arranged around the grounds, which gives it a lot of character and a relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and nicely designed. We had booked three rooms, and after a few days all three were upgraded free of charge to significantly larger and more comfortable rooms. This was a very nice gesture and something we genuinely appreciated. There are, however, a few areas where improvements would make the experience even better. The main issue was the air conditioning. In practically all of our rooms, the temperature control did not work properly. The air conditioning cooled the rooms effectively, but did not stop once the selected temperature had been reached. As a result, room temperatures sometimes dropped to around 19°C, and the only practical way to regulate this was to switch the air conditioning on and off manually. Breakfast was included in the room rate and is very much focused on Chinese tastes, with noodle soup, eggs and various warm dishes. Western options are essentially limited to toast and jam, so international guests should set their expectations accordingly. Overall, we found the breakfast average in terms of both selection and quality, although perfectly adequate for a predominantly Chinese-style breakfast. Unfortunately, our last evening was affected by a more serious issue. Following very heavy rain, a considerable amount of water entered our daughter’s room, leaving part of the bed wet. The hotel staff reacted quickly and provided another room, which we appreciated, but naturally this was not the ideal way to end an otherwise enjoyable ten-day stay. Apart from this, we enjoyed our time at Yunshuijian Longxing Courtyard very much. Its central location is a real advantage, with plenty of restaurants, shops and cafés within easy walking distance. We did not try any other food at the hotel apart from breakfast. Overall, the beautiful setting, the unusual courtyard-style layout, the comfortable upgraded rooms and the convenient location made this a very pleasant place to stay in Pengzhou. With some attention to the air-conditioning controls and the water ingress issue, it could be an even better hotel.
