It was an awesome stay in Scandic Continental hotel. The staff were friendly and quick in response, they helped us update to a room with very good view! The place was very convenient, basically 1 min walk from the central station. There is a sky terrace where you can see the old town and beautiful sunset. Also, they have free bikes, which cost us 200 DKK per day in copenhagen, but in here it’s totally free! We had an amazing experience riding the bikes and explored the city. Everything is just perfect during our stay. Will definitely come back again in the future and recommend to our friends! Thank you so much for making our trip to Stockholm just perfect, and we will also memorize it.

The atmosphere of the entire hotel is very pleasant, elegant but not ostentatious, colourful and friendly. At first glance, the hotel may seem to be too far from the city center, but public transportation is excellent, the transportation hub is only 3 bus stops away and the neighborhood is very pleasant. The hotel receptionists are very kind and helpful. The room is beautiful and well equipped, we were especially pleased with the bathroom shelf, which misses in many hotelrooms. We loved the city map on the wall. We had the most comfortable bed of our life. Providing mineral water and coffee daily in the room is a nice gesture. The breakfast is plentiful, with a wide selection and quality ingredients

Had the good fortune of spending the weekend in one of the hotel’s top floor suites (adjacent to the conference facility on the 11th floor). Full disclosure - I had pretty low expectations coming in due to an unfortunate previous stay at this hotel, but that changed completely the moment I stepped inside the suite. It was spacious, comfortable and luxurious with enormous floor-to-ceiling windows and a HUGE terrace facing the city and Globen. The HVAC system was the best I've experienced in a Swedish hotel (a far cry from the regular Nordic systems that keep you freezing in the winter and sweating in the summer), the water pressure amazing and the finishes stylish. That said, if I were to nitpick, it wasn’t perfect - outlets were almost non-existent, a couple of spotlights were out-of-order, there was no shower gel in the shower, the TV was too small for a room of this size and there was no privacy shade for the giant window between the master bath and the bedroom. The housekeeping staff had generally done a very thorough job, with the exception of a part of the terrace that contained a half-eaten orange from a previous guest. These minor issues did, however, not detract from the overall experience and this suite easily ranked amongst the best Swedish hotel suites I’ve stayed in. The hotel has an excellent location, friendly staff and reasonable pricing, easily earning them a full five stars for this stay. I can’t wait to come back to the same suite :)

First up, the breakfast is excellent! There's a whole lot of choice for everyone. There's also enough of place to sit and the breakfast area is not cramped for space. The location is also very good as its quite near to the Alvik bus/train station. A grocery store ICA is also located very near to the hotel. Unfortunately, the rooms make the rating go down. Scandik doesn't have air conditioning in any of their hotels. They have some kind of an air regulation system which is centrally controlled which means that one can't do much individually in the room. Also the windows cannot be opened at all. So during hot summer days, this makes some of the rooms extremely hot if they are located in areas receiving a lot of sunlight. I visited Scandik Alvik during such a summer time and it was extremely uncomfortable. Our room was hot compared to the other rooms my friends and family were staying in. The staff did their best to help us out and move us to a different room after 4 uncomfortable nights but it was still a dampener. The other issue is that kettles are not available in all the rooms. My room didn't have one and when my wife contracted a cold and needed warm water to soothe her sore throat, no kettles were available. We got one only after 2 days because only a few rooms have kettles. There's no mini bar or fridge either. I guess my issues arose due to the heat - maybe in cooler months, these things wouldn't matter.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, right next to the commuter rail station, making it easy to reach the central station in just 10 minutes. OK as a hotel but very insufficient staff. Located in the outskirts of the city, in the Kista area. We didn’t take the public transport to the center, but by taxi it was a 20min drive max.. We liked the fact that it’s a new hotel with a nice gym, sauna and pool. You need to book for the pool though, and on weekends the pool gets very busy. So busy that we couldn’t get in. The staff seemed insufficient and most of the time, there was no one at the reception to assist. Breakfast buffet is quite simple. You can order one dish from the a la carte menu, but most dishes come cold as they have been prepared earlier. One morning, the crepes ran out 45 minutes before the end of breakfast and they couldn’t make any more. There were no slippers or robes in the room. Finally, and most outrageously, one day my partner was feeling unwell and asked the reception for a painkiller, as he was alone in the room. They told him they didn’t have any and couldn’t send someone to the nearest pharmacy, which is only 500 meters away. When asked to call the pharmacy since he didn’t speak Swedish and request that the pharmacy deliver a box of pills to the hotel. They refused to find the number and call. Sorry, but this is BAD customer service. I assume the hotel would be great for guests that are visiting Stockholm and Kista for business.

Are you looking for a place to stay overnight or probably more? It can be a good choice. Basic room with a private bathroom and clean bed. The hotel is in a good location close to many shopping centres as well as to the high way. Basic breakfast is included and the parking and WiFi are free. Reception is open for late check in and all staff are very social. Extra cleaning is always needed. You can also hear the noise in the corridor if someone is walking or closing the door... Still willing to go there if I'm travelling solo.

The environment and decorations were good. The breakfast was a lot better than expected. The beds were a bit small.
If there was a bridge connecting the airport would be excellent. Staying on days with nice weather was totally fine, but what if when it snows or rains? It’ll be challenging to walk with a suitcase.

This is a fine hotel in an excellent location at Arlanda airport. It is very convenient to the airport and train station. The Arlanda express gets you to Stockholm quickly and comfortably. We even took the train to Uppsala for a side trip very easily. The return train left us off within a less than five minute walk to the hotel. The food at the restaurant was first rate.

PPengguna TetamuFirst of all the people on the desk were so welcoming and friendly- especially Gigi- she was so interested in my trip and offered help if I needed it. I was also loaned an umbrella which saved me from getting drenched!
Gigi was on the desk when I departed this mo, remembering my name and wishing me a safe trip home.

PPengguna TetamuDie Apartmentanlage liegt neben dem Flughafen Bromma und direkt an einer Haltestelle der S-Bahn, es ist aber im Zimmer davon nichts zu hören. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze . Es liegt optimal zum Erkunden der Stadt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed at the Sparrow for 3 nights in mid-May, two adults and a teenager. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to pretty much anything, and the subway is nearby too. The hotel is charming and very clean, and the staff, especially at the reception, were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, a bit above average for this price point. The rooms have some quirks, such as the door that opens outwards, the bathroom door that is on a very heavy spring and closes all the time, without any option to keep it open, and shower doors that don't keep the water in. The hotel is just a couple of doors down from two nightclubs, and although the noise doesn't make it into the room, the street is very ”clubby” in the late hours. Overall the price felt a little high for what you get, although I suspect that prices were higher than normal because Taylor Swift was in town for the weekend.

Down comforters, scenic view from our large window, large screen tv, clean bathroom with shower, free Wi-fi, self check-in (we didn’t have a reservation so we had to check-in with a staff person). We had a “Compact Double” Room for 1,689,00 SEK (about $156 USD) and it was worth it!

JJM MacaWe couldn’t have picked a better hotel for our quick vacation in Stockholm this April 2024. Motel L is stylish, reasonably priced and conveniently located. Upon entering the hotel, we were impressed by the contemporary design of the lobby and the carpeted floors. Our check in experience was a breeze. At 15 sqm, our room was on the small side but it was never lacking in style – there were two comfortable Carpe Diem beds and a rainshower in the bathroom. The soundproofing was also excellent affording us two restful nights.
The location is unbeatable – there’s a coffeeshop (Espresso House) and a supermarket (ICA Supermarket) right next door. And the Martensdal tram station is just literally outside the hotel, like less than 50 steps away. It usually took us 20-30 minutes to get to T-Centralen.
We were very pleased with Motel L and would never hesitate to come back here. Also worth mentioning are the warm and friendly staff. Shout out to May who really charmed us with her personality during our stay!

Staff were pleasant & friendly enough. We were given the room relatively early since it was ready which we much appreciated. Hotel location is excellent with metro, supermarkets, shops & good restaurants all within close walking distance. We enjoyed the included breakfast which was of good variety & quality. Overall pleased with the very decent value stay.

Lovely quaint hotel right in the old town. Can walk everywhere from here. The staff were wonderful. Room was small but adorable. Breakfast was a wonderful treat. The only negatives were that there were no usb ports or US outlets and that there is no free coffee or even water in the lobby ( you could get it for a fee) and no coffee maker or hot water for tea in the room. Otherwise a great experience.

PPengguna TetamuThis was not what we were expecting at all. I’ve slept on a 14.5 hour sleeper train in India, in a damp tent in the Serengeti surrounded by hyenas, hostels across Europe, I can fall asleep in airports even, but this is was the least comfortable nights sleep of my life! Luckily we only stayed for 2 nights, had it been longer I would have moved. We arrived at about 8.30pm and the main door to the small foyer/ breakfast room was not manned, which in itself was concerning, I tried calling the number on my booking and the number on the door, my partner walked around the underground lair to try and find someone, we called out down there everything! After about 10 minutes a guy who my other half actually passed in the hall appears. Surely he could see that he was wandering round looking lost?! As part of the booking speil… he adds that the desk is manned 24hours a day…!!! Definitely NOT! I knew I’d booked a twin room but was surprised to be greeted with the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in, with bunk beds, honestly fine for friends and back packers, but this is not a cheap hostel! The bunk beds may be the worst designed bunk beds I’ve ever seen, the ladder planks were constructed the wrong way so you had to place your foot on the narrowest part of the slat! Once I got to the top, the mattress was sunken in the middle, and lumpy, and the sides of the bed were scratched, and even had initials carved on it! And the pillow was more like a fat lumpy scatter cushion. This along with unpleasant smells from the corridor, no window, the rooms rattling when the neighbours moved, dust on the surfaces, and no control over the heating made for two wholly uncomfortable nights sleep. They shouldn’t advertise breakfast as breakfast, rather morning snacks as there was a bowl with apples, a bowl with cookies in and a platter of sweaty clingfilmed cheese rolls. Along with cold coffee and tea. We skipped it the second day! They shouldn’t advertise the Wi-Fi as working either, I feel like these days it should be a very basic standard to include sufficient Wi-Fi in the rooms, it’s virtually non existent. It shows as a signal then “no internet connection”. The pros are the fact that the location is quite good, and the staff are fairly friendly. We had a laugh about the ridiculousness of the room/cell. This is why I won’t give it 1 star. But really this cannot and should not be advertised as a hotel, and should be advertised at HALF the price it is as a hostel, as then I think it will do quite well.

No cleaning service: in the three days that I stayed I always saw the same dirt around: Used underwear hanging, used paper on the floor (everywhere, even in the corridor), beard hairs on the only bottle of soap, on the sink and on the sink counter... When on the second day I asked to the reception guy when it should be cleaned, I was told that it had been cleaned the day before (absolutely false since the dirt was always in the same position) and that they had been cleaning at that moment for two hours... (and the only thing I saw done was emptying the bins, by two quite ambiguous people who live in the hostel and the previous evening were drinking alchool in the common all that for sure are no cleaning service staff)... all the dirt was left there. There is no one at reception before 10am or after 6pm. The telephone number doesn't even work, so absolutely don't arrive late Tiny rooms, THE PHOTOS ARE FAKE, there are two bunk beds less than a meter apart. IF you are taller than 1.70 meters you risk continually banging your head against doors, low bathroom vaults and pipes protruding everywhere As if that wasn't enough they ask for 10 euros for sheets and you have to pay if you want to use the locker. only two positive things: 1-being underground (without windows) and with quite thick walls it is quite quiet 2-it's in the center
