The welcome at reception was very warm. The receptionist requested that I write my full credit card details, including CVV, on the registration form - I declined and after some discussion 200 euros in cash was accepted - it seems that they do not currently have a way of reserving electronically. The hotel is well located and very nicely appointed; the rooms are stylishly furnished with an excellent bathroom - however my wife was unable to locate a hair dryer. We had intended to eat at the hotel but was advised (at our Sunday afternoon arrival) that the restaurant only opens at the weekend (in other words Friday & Saturday only!!). The recommended nearby restaurant (L'Oignon) was very good. BEWARE of EXTRAS: a rather scant continental breakfast is on offer but costs extra at an extraordinary 30 euros - better to go out and find somewhere to eat breakfast locally. Overnight parking cost was (in my opinion) an outrageous 40 euros.

Das Hotel ist durch seine Lage exzellent. Bisher waren wir immer nur im Regent petit Hotel, das war der erste Aufenthalt im Pavillon, Frühstück gibt es im Regent, Sport ebenfalls. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, würden das Regent vorziehen.

I just checked out of this hotel today. I loved everything about the hotel from the moment I walked in. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had to park offsite, several blocks away, but they will transfer your luggage to and from the hotel. We had two rooms at the hotel, and we stayed in a family area that had a door off the hallway to both of our rooms. This is perfect if you have need to but your kids in one room and you/spouse in the other. The queen size rooms are not huge, but I found the room to be laid out very well. It really didn’t bother me at all that they are smaller than some of the hotels we stay at in the United States. Our rooms came with breakfast and it was wonderful. The presentation is beautiful. When you walk in it is a buffet but you can also order off the menu I suggest ordering the French toast. One of the best things about this hotel is air conditioning !!!! I can’t express enough how important it is when it is 95 degrees Fahrenheit outside. The air conditioner did not keep the room at a cool, 71 to 72° but very close. I hope to return to Strasbourg in the future, and I certainly will stay at Maison Rouge again.

I have booked this hotel as the kick-off for our honeymoon. Unfortunately we have contracted COVID and asked the hotel for a good-will cancellation a couple of days before arriving. Unfortunately it seems like Accor/Sofitel prefers a young freshly married couple to travel and visit their Hotel with Covid than to make a good-will postponement of the booking since they declined to cancel the reservation with a reimbursement or postpone it. I would have expected a 5* Hotel to be more flexible towards customers in cases like ours. I approximately spend 60-70 days per year in Hotels for business and will not consider Accor/Sofitel for any future stay.

equipe sympa et souriant, ce trouve juste à côté la petite France (centre ville). la seule chose à laquelle on peut s'attendre est une amélioration du travail de la femme de ménage, elle n'aime pas laver les sols, surtout sous le lit

Super nettes Personal überall, alles recht stylish. Straßenbahnhaltestelle direkt vor der Tür. Die Lounge mit kostenlosen Snacks (Kuchen/Kekse, Obst) und heissen (Kaffeevollautomat/Tees) und kalten Getränken (Saft, Limos/Cola aus Flaschen) ist einfach klasse! Sowas sollte jedes Hotel haben, man kann es ein wenig mit einer Flughafenlounge vergleichen. Abends gibt es dort auch kleine Gerichte. Die Zimmer sind zu zweit zwar etwas klein und über die Konstruktion des Bads kann man sich sehr wundern. Insgesamt jedoch eine absolute Empfehlung.

This delightful, traditional hotel has gorgeous decor. The lounges have chandeliers and old, carved armoires and chairs. We loved the wooden floors and the lovely clothes cupboard in our room. Everyone at the hotel is cheerful, welcoming, and helpful. The neighborhood by Petite France has many excellent restaurants and bistros.

I booked for 3 nights but I had to leave early for personal reason, I was told I get a refund . The man in reception didnt seem to understand english well and said yes to everything I said. After one month , still no refund, I contact them by phone no answer, by email they say they reply to you already but it is a lie just to keep the money and dont do the refund that I have the right to get back . They just ignore you to steal money from you . Then when they decide to answer they say I have to give proof that I left early, HOW?? Bathroom was dirty, tiles all black and I stayed in a room for handicaped people without being asked. They dont know what they doing. I dont usually do reviews but I think they deserve this one.

We loved this hotel and its location on the island. It's within walking distance from the train station and the island can easily be walked. We had 3 nights at the hotel. The front desk, especially the Ugandan employee, was so friendly and helpful--many thanks. As was the restaurant staff very accommodating, especially with children. The hotel is super clean and the rooms very much in good order. We loved our apartment and it was great for the kids. Many restaurants just around the corners. Absolutely do get the breakfast with a wide variety of foods. Only missing perhaps was an omelette but everything else we like was presented. Be sure to check out the fresh cheese usually presented at the entrance. We will stay at this hotel again when we return... You can hear street noise, however I had brought earplugs and my children were not disturbed

Where to begin. My minuscule room on the second floor. I smelled less sewage in the Paris metro. The room stinks so bad. There was no air-conditioning or any type of ventilation. And if you open the window all you could hear was noise at three in the morning from the bar that is downstairs. But you can’t complain about the bar because the family that runs the hotel runs the bar. Avoid this place at all costs. Now they did comp my room and move me to a lovely room in the courtyard and that was fine but these rooms over the bars should not even be allowed to be given to people. When I did complain they said they know it’s a problem but nobody’s doing anything to solve it so just beware. So the first night when I was in the tiny room that stunk like sewage I had to open the window but I couldn’t sleep because of the bar noise. So let me tell you about the lovely gentleman at reception. After the bar close he had a couple of girls that were hanging out in front of the hotel talking so loudly and drinking. I was sitting by the window because it was fresh air he literally pissed in the street. I am here to tell you just avoid this place. It could be so charming but it’s not. Now if you can get one of the big rooms in the courtyard I thought it was lovely. But it’s not worth risking. If you get a room over the street Run. Breakfast was also not very good. Really this is like a one star hotel. Buyer beware.

Wir haben zu dritt Straßbourg erkundet. Dafür liegt dieses Hotel sehr zentral. Die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Fußläufig ist auch sehr viel zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, sauber und schön eingerichtet. Jedes Zimmer hat eine individuelle Gestaltung. Die Betten bequem. Die Rezeption ist sehr nett. Ein kleines Manko hatten wir beim Frühstück: Der Raum ist etwas klein, so dass nicht alle Gäste Platz finden bzw. warten müssen. Der Kaffeeautomat hat gestreikt, schlecht für mich. Das Frühstück selbst war mittelmäßig. Ich würde das Hotel weiter empfehlen!

I stayed at Hotel les Haras for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. It is across the river just a few blocks from Petite France and the old town. It is a 15 mins. walk from the train station. So everything is close, but you are just outside the centre so it feels really quiet and peaceful. It is near the teaching hospital and the cave historique des hospices de strasbourg (old wine cellar) is worth popping by and is very close. There are also several excellent and affordable restaurants within steps of the hotel - less touristy than the ones near the cathedral. I chose this hotel because hotel guests have access to the spa area/pool for 1 hour daily and this was a highlight of my stay. You do have to reserve a time slot, but I would usually book it on the same day and whatever time I wanted was available. Sometimes I had the facilities to myself, and at maximum there were 3 other people there. The swimming pool is heated and beautifully designed. It is peaceful but big enough you can actually swim some laps. There is also a Finnish sauna, steam room, showers, and one of those buckets where you pull the cord and it dumps cold water on you. Then there is a relaxation area with chairs, loungers, blankets and tea. Just blissful!! If you want to stay over 1 hour, it is 25 euros but I also did not feel they were strict and timing your stay to the minute. I did not use the gym but took a peek and it is small without any mirrors, but has some basic equipment if you need (cardio machines, free weights). They let me borrow the pilates mat as I prefer to workout in my room so that I can use videos from my laptop. When I checked in, I was shocked to see my room was not cleaned and was a mess from the previous guest. I was surprised at the oversight. I would also say the woman who checked me in was not particularly warm. She just gave me my key and did not make any small talk whatsoever (e.g. asking where I came from/how the flight was etc). So my first impression was not the best. But there was a staff member in the hallway, so I told them my room was not ready and she quickly fixed the situation. At first, she said I can wait and they will clean it. But I was annoyed as I had been traveling almost 24 hours (flight to CDG then taxi to train station then train then 15 mins walk in the heat) and just wanted to rest and shower. Plus, it was after 3pm which is the designated check-in time. It's not like I arrived early. Thankfully, they found me another room and immediately took me there and were apologetic. I did not require much assistance from the concierge as I already had things planned out. I did not eat their breakfast, as I preferred to go to different cafes nearby to try their baked goods and coffee. I did enjoy sitting in the courtyard and reading. Front desk staff (a kind man, didn't get his name) were helpful when I needed to borrow a universal adapter. The room itself (the basic queen room) was near perfect. Everything you need and would expect
