Hotel Coimbra dengan Kolam Renang

Desde o primeiro contacto que tudo foi muito bom. O atendimento, a disponibilidade e o acolhimento de todos os colaboradores/profissionais foi extraordinário. Fizeram um upgrade á minha reserva e ofereceram ”um mimo”. A suite era muito confortável, ampla, agradável, limpa e tudo funcionava na perfeição. O pequeno almoço foi muito variado, com produtos frescos de qualidade e estes constantemente a serem repostos, os profissionais atentos aos hóspedes e a tudo o que passava na sala. O ginásio estava bem equipado, a piscina estava limpa e o banho turco disponível.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April. I booked this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had a pool, which we were glad of because the weather was very warm. Our room was on the second floor and had a fridge and a safe, no kettle. Bed was comfortable, everything was clean and modern. The bathroom had a bath and shower. Our room overlooked the street but because it’s one street back from the main road it wasn’t noisy. The window was able to be opened (which I like because I like fresh air) and the air conditioning worked. The pool area is very nice, it was quiet while we were there, although I expect it gets busy as the season progresses. We did go in the outdoor pool although only briefly as it was a bit chilly, but we used the indoor pool and sauna a couple of times, plus the gym. The hotel is outside of the old town, it’s about a 15 minute stroll away. We arrived into Coimbra by train, the train station is about 20 minutes away on foot. There are some decent bars and restaurants not too far from the hotel and a big supermarket. This hotel is a good choice if you don’t want to stay right in the centre of the old town and want a nice pool to relax by. The large Forum shopping centre is just across the river, 20 minute walk. The guy who checked us in was very helpful and spent time explaining what to see and do. We would stay here again if we returned to Coimbra.

A very modern hotel with many facilities. A little out of the way from town centre but set in a more rural/residential area. Exactly what we needed after the hustle and bustle of downtown Coimbra. Excellent breakfast and superb dinner. Very reasonable price for the type of hotel it turned out to be.

The hotel is one of the lovliest I have ever been in Portugal (25 visits). Very unique, has a history and lovely drcorated. The gardens are great to stroll and the entire atmosphere is suberb. Rooms are comfortable and the meals are tasty. I did not give it 5 points due to 2 unprofessional acts that were made by the hotel. A suitcase of one of my travelers was missing and apparently was found a day later in a wrong room - The hotel has not find a way to express apology. The same traveler forgot shoes in her room that were found by the hotel but they never let us know that they found it ( for 5 days). In spite of that the hotel is highly recommended

Silvia was our receptionist and go-to person. She was truly AMAZING! She is a delightful young lady who was our contact person, greeted us, carried our luggage ( the stairs were a bit difficult for me), called taxis for us, brought extra blankets, prepared breakfast, recommended restaurants and sites in Ciombra…there was nothing she wasn’t available to do. She was always smiling and friendly. While the property is on a large piece of land and is farm like it is NOT in the countryside. It is in a suburban area 10-15 minutes from Coimbra. We were specifically attracted to being in the countryside so this was a disappointment. Even with Apple CarPlay, our gps system, we missed the street several times. The name of the street is not well marked. The property is behind a lovely gate and parking is readily available. This was a plus. Our room was very large ( bedroom, separate living room, bathroom, entry space)and had lovely views overlooking the grounds, the pool and distant mountains. We booked on *********** “ Family Room with Balcony” 441 sq/ft. and stayed Sept 29-Oct.1. The room was stylish and very clean with big windows overlooking the grounds. However there were many flaws. There were no glasses for water in the room, no water provided, no conditioner in the shower, no robes or slippers, only 2 very flat pillows, one set of towels. We were offered use of the communal kitchen but this was not inviting. We were shown the refrigerator and told there was a different shelf designated for each room. Too much like a college dorm or work fridge. We could use the kitchen as we wished but did not avail ourselves. Silvia did immediately bring us an extra duvet when we found the room too cold. She did offer to turn the radiators on but we were afraid we would find it too hot.There was no thermostat for us to control. There were enough outlets for adapters and charging cables. We did not expect USB ports as is common in Portugal.wi-fi was good. The worst was the shower. It’s a beautiful walk in with a rain shower but on the first morning my husband had cold water. I had scalding hot then tepid then cold. And yes…we do know how to turn on and adjust the water. On the second morning we both had COLD showers. The hair dryer was terrible…barely dried my short hair. The room was not serviced. We came back after a long day exploring Coimbra to find an unmade bed and wet towels. So we made the bed and used wet towels… The breakfast, again Silvia was the star, was in a small dark room with a buffet selection on a narrow sideboard. There were decent choices…cheeses, bread and good coffee and scrambled eggs. One table was so close to the sideboard we couldn’t access those foods without being rude. We did take taxis into Coimbra . We thankfully had a hotel address card to show drivers for our return trip. Even with that, both drivers had a difficult time finding the property. La posizione, ai piedi della parte alta della città, di per sé è ottima, un po' meno lo è quanto a disponibilità dei mezzi pubblici di trasporto. È un vecchio palazzotto, già appartenuto a qualche notable del luogo, recentemente ristrutturato. Le camere sono ampie e luminose, con bagno, ma manca il bidet. Se l'insonorizzazione esterna è buona, quella interna, a causa dei pavimenti in legno, regala qualche scricchiolio di troppo. Il garage, gratuito, non è il massimo della comodita, visti gli spazi angusti di manovra. Buona la colazione. Non ho usufruito degli altri servizi (piscina, palestra, ecc.) La ragazza alla reception è cortese e disponibile. Tornati alle 17 abbiamo avuto la sgradita sorpresa di trovare la camera nelle stesse condizioni in cui l'avevamo lasciata, cioè con il letto da rifare. Valutarlo 4 stelle mi sembra un tantino ottimistico, direi un ottimo 3 stelle.
