Near the train and bus station which is convenient to travel to tourist places like Sun moon lake. But it is a distance away from the famous Feng chia night market. It will take about 30mins bus ride and the bus frequency is low ( waiting time up to 30mins). The room is small for 2 pax but for the price I would say it is reasonable.

The room facilities overall is quite good , including en-suite bathroom, balcony and big enough to stay for 4 persons in a room. However, the cleanliness is poor , the bed sheet is not clean and has bugs. I really hope the hotel can solve this problem. Also, the service is quite bad , the staff is not nice enough and helping to phone. The free breakfast is awful. So I am not suggesting this hotel.

The hotel is near to Taichung train station, it took 10 mins to walk to the hotel from train station.

They upgraded my room for free, so lucky. The room and bed so comfortable. Got washing machine and dryer but too bad have to pay. Location is super good in front of bus station (both directions) Overall a very good stay.

Great hotel, great price, great service, great location. A few minutes walk from Taichung Station (not to be confused with the high speed railway station) and directly in front of one of the main intercity bus stops (ticket office next door) so easy to take bus to Taipei. Also intracity buses depart from here, so easy to get almost anywhere. Staff are friendly, and the hotel is spotless. Convenience store and beef noodle soup next door too. There are several other hotel options nearby for similar prices, but overall this one ticks all the boxes.

Great location. Opposite Taichung train station. Walking distance to a near by shopping centre which has Carrefour. Also, walking distance to Yizhong Street night market. Room size is good size for 4 pax.

Near to train station also got so many Indonesia stall and food

It's convenient to move to city side. Near station also. Clean room. Air conditioner temperature cannot be adjusted. But no issue for me.

Great hotel. Can't fault it in any way. Large room and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable. This will be my go-to in this area!

Palmer hotel is the best location if you want to go back to Taipei when you finished exploring Taichung city.

The location of the hotel was good. Just a stone throw away from the Taichung TRA station. Due to some unexpected events, I have to amend the date of the pre-purchase HSR tickets but was unable to navigate to the right page to do it. One female front counter staff assisted me to change the date online for my HSR ticket. I expressed my heartfelt thanks to her for the help rendered

Convenient transportation. Just near the train station. Shopping in surrounding shopping malls is convenient. I always stay in this hotel every time I go to Taichung. It’s really good value for money.

You need to ask for amenities such as slippers and toothbrush. The blanket was weird. It was like a sheet, not an actual blanket. The floor was dusty, especially under the bed area. The room was not sound proof at all. The breakfast was 150 yuan, and it was just so so, not recommended. However, the location is very convenient. There're a lot of restaurants around and a big morning market a few minutes walk away.
