Hotel berhampiran Huaientang, Taipei

Have a short trip at Tai Pei with my wife in last weekend. Noted that this hotel was newly built in 2021 and so close to subway station (3mins walking distance), so we confirmed to book this hotel. Besides close to subway, it also closes to some cultural sightseeing spot, famous restaurants and coffee shop, all of them are within 10mins walk. Interior design of the room is simple with slightly Japanese style and spacious. If the room is clean, simple & relax decoration and big enough are already a good choice of hotel room for me and my wife. And the cost is reasonable. But we didn't try the breakfast, so no comment on this part. Will recommend to others and we may rebook again in next time.

Usual 5 star amenities and comfort that one would expect. However some staff at reception here seemed unfriendly , being unhappy to be disturbed from whatever chores they were doing. I also saw a baby cockroach in the bathroom.

If you want to stay at this hotel, you need to be able to tolerate bad attitudes. I checked in at night, and the receptionist was a man in his 50s or 60s with a constant scowl. He was very rude, acting as if I was the one serving him, and seemed ready to lash out at any moment. After dropping my luggage in the room, I went to a convenience store. As I passed by the front desk, he didn't greet me (which is fine), but glared at me like a ********. I was very polite and couldn't understand why he behaved like that at work. I thought he was the only one like this, but the next morning, when I went to the front desk to extend my stay (because my flight was canceled due to a typhoon), the receptionist named Ally also had a scowl. My goodness, what kind of terrible hotel is this? I asked him something, and he seemed clueless, so he went to the back to ask someone. His colleague came out to help, but with the same impatient expression and harsh tone. This is the most unfriendly front desk I've ever encountered. If you enjoy dealing with bad attitudes, feel free to challenge yourself by staying here.

Roughly 5 mins walk to XMD H&M. Room is fairly size in XMD (Near) considered those at XMD to be very small in room sq ft. Lots of tour bus bringing their costumer staying in this hotel, so do expect for long Breakfast Q in the morning. Sound proof not very good as well, students next room is making lots of noises in the middle of the night and clearly can be heard.

We stayed at this hotel for our quarantine stay (3+4). This hotel was the highest priced quarantine hotel in Taipei. As Taiwan is moving away from quarantine, it is unclear whether this hotel will remain a quarantine hotel. Provided meals: Three meals were provided. I believe they rotated it somewhat. I would give them 4 stars overall. They were of mid-to-high end quality, but certainly not Michelin star or 5-star hotel restaurant's quality. That is, I had much better at The Regent or The Sheraton Taipei. That said, there was a microwave in the room for one to heat up the meals to a warmer setting as the meals were prepared in bulk at the lobby. They were lukewarm when the meals arrived in our room. It appeared some meals were prepared by the hotel restaurant and others were from outside sources. The meals were *********, Korean, and Japanese focused. If one wants Western foods, then Food Panda or Uber Eats will be what you want. There are expensive local restaurants at Xinyi Districts that you can pay for to get your own food. Check with the hotel on delivery times, I believe that they won't refund the costs of the meals if one chooses not to eat the prepaid meals. Prior to booking the quarantine hotel, they will send one a form to ask for some preferences and/or allergies. There was a toaster and hot water boiler in the room. The drip coffee and tea packets were super flavorful and refilled (via Line or other means of contact) during our stay. In fact, most contacts were done remotely during the quarantine period. Room: This is what one is paying for in this place if one is stuck here for 8 days (landing day is Day 0). The bed and beddings were super comfortable. The bed was a full king, My room was in the smaller side, but sufficient for two people and eight pieces of luggage. The room was super clean. We know, because we tried wiping some areas and found them to be stainless. We also noticed, via the peephole, that housekeeping took over two hours to deep clean our neighbor's room - including the use of what appeared to be an ultraviolet wand to clean some service areas. There was a clothes-wire in the bathroom if one needed to do handwash laundry during the quarantine stay. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't provide any detergent, but we used the provide soap, The bathroom was large with rain showerhead available. The toilet was a bit too high up off the floor for us as we are around 5 ft 8 inches but flushed well. If one's room faced south or east, one would get a good view of Taipei 101. The south side would get a full view, and east side (our room) got the view from the couch in the ”living room” area. The TV was pretty large and we could watch it from our bed comfortably. The only complaint, if any, was that it didn't have as many international channels for this high-end hotel. I wanted Bloomberg, but nothing was offered. Not even CNBC. The WiFi was very fast. There are two buildings and the one on Google is the one for more than one person's rooms. I wish it was an information I got before arriving so I didn't have to walk around, even though both are really close by. The other building only has a Chinese name on Google map - 西門星辰精典大飯店. Apart from that, my stay was very good! Room is nice, I didn't use the TV so I don't know about its quality. Aircon works wonder and the shower's pressure is top tier ! 🤣 We also got free hot drinks and I do love my hot chocolate from time to time. 😌 Window is useless though, it feels like you don't have one. Location is perfect. Not too far from the subway and some bus stops.

Hotel besar, banyak bilik, bersih  Bilik tidak mempunyai tingkap, menyebabkan cahaya tidak keluar pada waktu pagi.  Sekitar penginapan bersama rakan-rakan Tiada bunyi, senyap. Daftar masuk adalah pada pukul 3 petang. (Daftar masuk sendiri di kaunter penerimaan tetamu) Kalau nak masuk bilik dulu, kena bayar NT$200.  Secara keseluruhan, berehat dengan selesa.

Persekitarannya cantik. Lokasi bas ulang-alik tidak jelas. Ia bersebelahan dengan bas. Ia adalah pondok bas kecil. Kolam renang adalah jarak tertentu dari tempat penginapan. Tiada laluan pejalan kaki yang jelas dan bahaya berkongsi dengan kereta. Ia adalah kawasan renang yang lebih profesional. Orang yang tidak boleh berenang boleh meminjam pelampung tetapi tidak boleh. Sayang sekali menggunakan cincin renang. Terdapat diskaun untuk penginapan dan lawatan berpandu. Jika penginapan termasuk lawatan atau harga lebih rendah, jejak rahsia yang lebih baik adalah perjalanan sekali sahaja. Grand Hotel selesa dan boleh dikunjungi lagi. Stik Grand Mountain sedap.

Great stay with strategic location. Walking distance to shih lin night market and jian tan station. Even have free spa for ladies in the hotel. Would definitely visit again!
