Hotel initially presents well. However some things let it down. The room was large and spacious however it was quite windy outside and this howled through window all night. The bathroom : the shower is over a really high bath that has no door or curtain so the floor gets flooded even if your being very careful. The toilet seems to have a leak either from the water feed to the toilet or bidet as the grout channels in floor were always full of water. Only 1 towel and one hand towel supplied. Restaurant: just don’t!! The food was shocking. It made a student flat dinner look like a 5 star dining experience. Staff were helpful but very inexperienced. Basically the restaurant is an afterthought. Breakfast: this is at a different restaurant in the complex. It was quite good. Extensive fruit and vegetable options. Lots of egg options. Lovely pastries. Only minor letdown was tea and coffee. The property is a long way from any local restaurants but there is a mall 10to 15 min walk away. Just not very pleasant walking there in the wind we experienced. Would I stay here again : Yes What would I do different : taxi to the Medina and eat there. Take ear plugs.

This was a difficult stay at this hotel. The hotel did not appear to be set up for the season and was severely impacted by Ramadan. The bedroom was basic, but clean and comfortable. TV didn't work but it didn't matter. It was noisy, not from the hotel but from the street outside as people seemed to go on the street after dusk till around 02.45am. Dinner supplied was fine, although they only had 1 bottle of wine in the whole hotel and approximately 4 bottles of beer. There were 20 in our party and other guests staying. There were only about 4 small bottles of soft drink to purchase. The bar did not open until the second night. Breakfast was poor on day 1 and worse on Day 2. There was 1 waiter who worked very slowly. 1 pot of coffee for 20 people which of course ran out quickly, not enough cups and not enough breakfast. Day 2 there was also another group in and so when we arrived at 08.00, there was no breakfast left, no coffee, no hot water and not even any cereal. We bought breakfast at the train station later that day. Whilst we could make allowances for the fact that Ramadan was taking place, this does not excuse the breakfast issue, which was unacceptable.

Lovely Modern Hotel. Location is ideal if you’re looking to enjoy the marina. Nice staff, very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and chef on hand to do your eggs, nice touch. Spa and gym was nice. Location is excellent for the clubs along the marina. Very pleasant stay at the Barcelo.

The perfect location in Tangier. The staff will treat you like princes and princesses. Everything was just perfect. The room was spacious. I slept so well during these 3 nights. Loved it.

Had 2 rooms for the hotel. Average room, rather old. Renovations are in progress thus maybe caused the lack of service, had to wait rather long while checking in and in comparison with other moroccan hotels, no welcome drinks or familiarisation was given. There was no rooftop access for any aerial view despite strategically located next to the wonderful beach and nearby all the main attractions of the city. Staffs were friendly though, facilities and maintenance fell short for that last star.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights in late April 2023. We arrived from Casablanca, by high speed train. The train station, clean and modern, is right across the street from the Hilton Tanger. Upon arrival we were upgraded from a king exec room a to junior suite. Loved the room. It was spacious, big bathroom with separate tub and shower, 2 sinks and bidet. Lots of closet space. Housekeeping brought us extra pillows that we requested. We were on the 8th floor facing the sea so we had a view of the coast. We could see Spain in the distance and the ferry coming and going to the Tangier port. Before going for breakfast we made coffee in the room with the capsules provided. The breakfast buffet is great, lots of variety, eggs on order, hot and cold dishes, Moroccan and Western. The restaurant is on the 15th floor with fantastic views over the beach and the sea. There is a mall attached to the hotel. I bought a nice Tshirt in a ladies shop and we bought some snacks at the supermarket. We walked down to the beach and along the boardwalk area that stretches for a long distance toward the port and further east. It is so clean. Workers regularly clean beaches and streets. You rarely see plastic bottles or wrappers strewn about. We took a taxi to the Medina 2 days in a row and wandered around. One day into the museum. It was okay.

The hotel location was slightly far from the main station which means you need a taxi up down. Facilities are only opened from 9 to 6pm and cleanilness is questionable with flies. Room is ok, spacious but low floor. Hotel has a splendid view of the sea.

The hotel is very beautiful and clean. The Fo manager Yassine was very polite and help us to understand the city mechanism. Breakfast was rich and the lounge where it is served has an amazing garden! Also Ali was very kind and help us for every need. In short, a lovely experience, highly recommend!

PPengguna TetamuDon’t stay here! These people are thieves from start to finish. In October 2022 I booked one room for two nights for January 2023, then a few days prior to arriving, booked an additional room for the two nights. The front desk claimed I never booked the rooms in October. I showed them the confirmation email, which they asked that I forward to them. They checked us in and told us they would sort it out and get back to me. They had me make a partial payment for the stay at check in. The next day they asked me when I was paying for the 2nd night. I told them I would pay anytime and asked if they had sorted out the reservation. They said yes and told me I owed 1,000 euro. Mind you the rooms are less than $100.00 usd per night, so this seems strange that the total could e anything greater than $400.00, but having already made a partial payment, this number was absurd. When I questioned it, they backtracked and told me I owed about 1,600 Durham per night (which was the reservation rate total for two nights for the room booked a few days before arriving). They then told me that same rate applied to the first booking, even though I have an email stating the room was 964 diram per night. They said that email was not from the hotel. I pointed out that it was their company’s email domain. They said Le Royal was a big company and they don’t know who sent that email - really???? At one point they brought someone they said was from central reservations. He just kept pointing to a piece of paper and refusing to listen or discuss the issue. I opened my laptop and showed them they are marketing the rate for 890dirham that night (about 100 dirham less than what my confirmation listed) and asked why I would pay twice that…it was at this point the stupid little man from ‘central reservations’ ran out the front door, leaving me again to deal with the front desk. The staff were rude, indignant and unprofessional, but clearly skilled thrives - Le Royal should be proud of the team they have assemble at this outdated antique. Nothing nice or impressive about this hotel, but with the added thievery, definitely a place to avoid. Unless you really want to seek crooks in action, sleeping in the streets of Tangier would be a better experience than this place. Save your money, self respect, and time by staying elsewhere. Worst hotel experience in Morocco, ever (and I have stayed in a lot of Moroccan hotels)!

PPengguna TetamuNice location close to Tangier Ville the ferry terminal. Walking distance to lots of attractions. Breakfast choice is huge, including all local stuff. Design of room with glass panel between bath and bed is odd as light could affect the other sleeping. Service is good and front desk been very helpful.

MMario BettencourtThe hotel merits the 5 star rating. Excellent all around. Breakfast is worth praising for the selection and quality of the produce. The staff is very attentive to guests' needs and comfort. A word of praise for the assistant floor/reception manager who out of his way to see to it that my stay was pleasant and memorable. Would only advise not to arrange airport pick-up through the hotel. The service will cost more than double that of a regular taxi. Otherwise, and as a seasoned world traveler, I strongly recommend the hotel.

Everything thing was fantastic about this hotel, Located between the old Medina and the new town, with a view on the sea... the guys in the reception were so kind and helpful, the room service women were very nice and did a very good job, the waiter in the restaurant was fantastic the whole team are working for the satisfaction of the clients and they earned it! Will definitely come back...

My husband and I stayed in Dar Jasmine for two nights in a standard room. Our room and the guest house in general was perfectly clean, tidy and well decorated. All the bedding including towels were of very good quality. Bedroom was warm (visited during the winter). Breakfast was served on the roof top and it was a buffet style with a good selection of fruit, breads, yoghurts, tea and coffee, etc. Of particular mention must be Hannah in Reception who went above and beyond to accommodate us at a very last minute request. She was very understanding and considerate. She also gave us very good local advice. We highly recommend this guest house if you visit Tangier.

Good. BUT could be much better Facilities are great Cleanliness good Breakfast choice very good, but go early as later on it’s been out too long and items are drying out and curling at the corners Service sometimes excellent ( bar team very good), sometimes indifferent. Didn’t have evening meal so cannot comment. Very poor experience with hotel concierge. Ordered taxi to Ceuta and told it would be two hours because they were providing a ‘special car’, at a special price. 800 instead of normal taxi MAD 500. Turned out it was the concierge relative driving one of a thousand similar taxis. Why make your guest wait 2 hours to line your family pocket? I know it’s Morocco, but it’s a 5 star hotel supposed to be providing 5 star service. I don’t expect to have to be on my guard for being scammed in a hotel like this, it is what you expect if your flagging down a taxi, which we did on another occasion, and received better service from. The last experience from a hotel is your overriding memory, you spoilt ours with a street scam. Otherwise I’d have given 5 star rating.

Our experience with the restaurant in particular was not pleasant. Rude and unprofessional staff who didn’t keep their promises and were highly disorganized. We called 2 days prior to book a table for our whole family and explained that we wanted to celebrate dad’s birthday and bring a cake, ”no problem with that” - they said. However, when we were there, the restaurant was full and the lack of organization from the staff made it so difficult to be available. We had to wait for 20 to 30 minutes sometimes for a waiter to make a request. After finally finishing our meal I called multiple waiters for the cake surprise, which we had already given them at arrival. They kept promising to bring it but didn’t. My husband then had to go address the issue to the “head waiter“ but the latter ignored him and didn’t even give him a minute of his time. Later on, I called the same “head waiter“ and he responded with an unacceptable attitude blaming me for “giving him extra work“ and for not remembering to whom I gave the cake. By the time they “found” the cake - mind you there was only one other person celebrating their birthday- we were too tired and disappointed so we paid and left. Having worked at foodservice, I understand the pressure of working such a demanding job. However, being rude and blaming your client for your mistake cannot be tolerated. With organization and politeness, our experience might have been different and better with Chellah Restaurant. For now, I do not recommend and will not go back.

Amazing terrace Nice easy Place to reach close to the beach nice helpful staff room was nice you can value for the money you pay , and beware there is tax city to pay at the place (2 Euro) per person . Had to come back after check out , was both mistake no body was at the reception when i left ! Thank you every one recommend to stay
