We arrived at the HotSpring Beach Resort at the end of June '23, just a week after a new General Manager had started his new role - something we found out because he was actively meeting and greeting guests and will obviously be a great asset to the resort. He is overseeing a huge number of renovations and upgrades due for completion by the end of 2023 - and so any older reviews that speak of the resort needing some attention will now likely be redundant as the place is undergoing a major - and impressive - facelift. We were thrilled by our spacious room, the fantastic hot spring pools and the excellent contrast of the icy 'chill' pool (a rarity in Thailand, where refreshingly cold water to dip in is not so common). The staff were friendly and courteous throughout, and the grounds all the way to the beach are quite wonderful. Of course, in any transformation there is always something that still needs tweaking. Our two recommendations to the resort would be to enhance the taste and the number of vegetarian options of breakfast, which was generally a little on the bland side (though we ate two a la carte dinners at the resort restaurant which were outsanding and quite delicious). The other recommendation is to keep the beach free of the relentless flow of plastic and other garbage which the sea washes up. Although this is so common everywhere, and certainly not the fault of the resort, the beach gets a daily deposit of bottles and other plastics, and it would be great to see some efforts being made to collect and tidy the beach area as it's not huge, and this would certainly be an hour well-spent. Overall, highly recommended for a stay here - it's a unique place with such relaxing waters and the sense you're in the middle of a tropical forest with secret thermal springs just waiting to be discovered. If you're there in low season of June/Jule like us, then you won't see too many other people around and you can enjoy a lot of peace and quiet. Definitely worth a visit!

Отель понравился! Отличное расположение - номера расположены рядом с пляжем. Пляж красивый. Рядом много ресторанов, магазинов, есть обмен валюты с нормальным курсом. В номерах чисто, звукоизоляция хорошая. Завтраки тоже очень хорошие.

โรงแรมอยู่ในจุดที่ดีติดชายหาด โรงแรมสวยมากใหญ่มากด้วยมีรถกอล์ฟขับไปส่งที่จอดรถจุได้หายคัน ห้องที่ได้อยู่ชั้น 1 บนตึกเดินไม่ไกลจากหาด อาหารเช้ามีให้เลือกหลากหลายรสชาติดี เงียบสงบดี แต่ประตูเก็บเสียงไม่ดีได้ยินเสียงคนจากด้านนอกห้อง ช่วงที่ไปอยู่ระหว่างการปรับปรุงหลายส่วนพี่คนขับรถกอล์ฟช่วยเหลือดีมากตอนที่เปิดห้องแรกชั้น 4 ไปเจอว่าห้องยังไม่เรียบร้อยก็ช่วยโทรประสานงานให้ รอแป้บๆ ก็ได้ห้องใหม่มาห้องกว้างมาก มีระเบียงให้นั่งจิบชาริมบึงแต่ไม่กล้าออกไปแมลงเยอะ เตียงแย่เป็นหลุมยุบตรงกลาง ไม่ใช่เตียงสปริงดีๆ คลุมผ้าไม่เต็มเตียงดูแล้วน่าจะเป็นเตียงเดียวกับที่ใช้ในหอพักนักศึกษา หมอนนุ่มแต่หนาไม่หน่อยไม่ค่อยยวบเหมือนโรงแรมอื่นในระดับเดียวกัน ตอนเช้ายังไม่ทันได้เช็คเอ้าท์พนง.จะเข้ามาทำความสะอาดห้องแล้วพูดเหมือนไล่ให้รีบๆเช็คเอ้าท์ออกไป พ่อกับแม่บอกว่าจะเดินเข้ามาในห้องเลยด้วยซ้ำ ทั้งที่กำลังเก็บของอยู่ รู้สึกว่าตั้งแต่เข้าพักโรงแรมระดับนี้มาหลายที่ ที่นี่เป็นที่แรกที่แย่ที่สุดเท่าที่เคยเข้าพักมาเลย หวังว่าจากนี้ทางโรงแรมจะมีการปรับปรุงเรื่องต่างๆให้ดีขึ้น

Stayed here from 4th - 11th April recently for a family wedding which took place just up the coast on Natai beach at a villa. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was in the surrounding area to the main hotel complex. My understanding is the hotel have acquired these villas which were part of another complex and recently joined them to the hotel. The outside area was beautiful with gorgeous flowers and plants and cute paths leading straight to the beach. The room was very spacious with great air con and facilities were good - although we did not have a balcony we had sun chairs brought to our room so we could sit outside. Room was cleaned well and fresh towels, tea, coffee and water etc every day. Only downside was the bed which was uncomfortably hard although enormous! Missing in the main room was a mirror but this was fixed when we asked for one - a full length mirror was brought to our room which was a necessity to enable me to style my hair. The hotel pool which backs onto the stunning beach was a gorgeous spot to sit with a lovely breeze from the sea and looked so pretty as sunset drew in with beautiful tree lights. There is one main restaurant where breakfast is served which backs right onto the beach. It was uncomfortably hot inside - could do with fans to make the dining experience more comfortable. As the surrounding area is extremely quiet you need to taxi out to local restaurants, the hotel restaurant menu was quite limited although most of the meals we ate both during lunch and dinner were lovely although a bit repetitive. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food and we enjoyed this very much. There are kayaks, surfboards you can hire from the beach hit by the beach and table tennis/boules also. Pool/beach towels are readily available from here too. In all, a lovely hotel in a stunning location on the most beautiful beach. A great get away from it all hotel for the perfect beach retreat holiday. Would definitely return to this hotel if I was in this area again.

Stay for 2 night in This hotel. Love the pool suite room so much- very spacious and modern, well-designed/decoration. Some dusty are were found at the corner of the bed but the bedsheets was clean.very helpful staffs from reception to restaurant. Having dinner for 2 night at the restaurant- taste quite good for Thai foods. Star pool was amazing. Beautiful and brand new resort. Loved surroundings near a nice and quiet beach. Would definitely go back again.

we have now been to the third sunset resort. a small pretty hotel with a great location, great staff and very attentive employees. The terrace rooms are very good in a great location and have a priceless view of the sea. The massage on the beach is fantastically beautiful. the breakfast is ala card at the moment because there are few guests. But that's completely ok because you don't have to rely on buffet times and everyone only orders what they eat. we will return there again as it has become a home for us in Khaolak. everyone was so grateful that we were there as guests. it was a wonderful time here. 2 weeks unforgettable! Greetings from room 1203 Ivonne and Ralf Wir waren jetzt im dritten Mal im Sunset Resort. ein kleines hübsches Hotel mit toller Lage, tollem Personal und sehr aufmerksamen Mitarbeitern. Die Terrassenzimmer sind sehr gut in toller Lage und haben einen unbezahlbaren Meerblick. Die Massage am Strand ist traumhaft schön. Das Frühstück ist im Moment ala Karte, weil nur wenige Gäste da sind. Das ist aber völlig ok, da man sich nicht auf Buffetzeiten verlassen muss und jeder nur das bestellt, was er isst. Wir werden wieder dorthin zurückkehren, da es in Khaolak zu einem Zuhause für uns geworden ist. Alle waren so dankbar, dass wir als Gäste da waren. The hotel staff speaks english and is very helpful. The villas are old and dated, internet access works only from the common area and you have plenty of stairs to climb. What this place has going for it is the location. It’s settled on a hillside and each little villa is overlooking the ocean combined with a tropical vegetation setting a beautiful accent. Unless you want to spend a fortune, there is no other place beating these views. I will come back.
