Dolphin Bay Hideaway

The 2 nights we stayed at the dolpin bay hideway hotel were the vacation within our vacation. We felt very welcome and Brian and his crew took so good care of us. If possible we would have stayed longer. And yes we saw dolphins every day. The room was clean and the food great.

We (a family with two teenager daughters) recently stayed for 3 nights at Dolphin Bay Hideaway. The reviews we have read were very enhusiastic, but we can confirm: It is all true! We were picked up from Bocas by two friendly brothers: one was de captain, the other turned out to be the cook. But not just a normal cook: in our opinion a true chef. The tuna steak was excellent. Truly, the best we had in our lifes. In addition, he made a flan of maracuija. Since our daughters like the passionfruit so much. It tasted great! So, if you like good food, this is the place to be. However, there is more: Kayaks free to use, and kayak between the dolphins. They come really near (just several meters). Kayak with full moon in the bay. A jungle tour with Brian: he really knows a lot, and taught us about all kinds of plants, poisonous frogs and so on. And the snorkeling tour. Being a guest in this underwater world was really special. We saw a nursing shark, stingray, very special jelly fishes. I have snorkelled in various places, but this was excellent! After a day, we sat down at the veranda. Had a cocktail and realized the great beauty of this place, and the warmth of Brian and his team. It is a true paradise! I hope one day we come back again.

The most amazing place I ever got the honour to visit and it will be etched in my heart forever. When I first arrived I cried, it was that divine. The grounds, room, service, food and staff were all top notch! They over delivered on all occasions!! Brian, the owner took us out to see dolphins and he’s incredibly knowledgeable with the tropical plants and fauna along with animals. Make sure you bring reading material and that relax mode since the place screams tranquility.

I stayed at Dolphin Bay Hideaway in March with my sister and her kids. We stayed in the house that’s around the cove from the bed & breakfast. The house was located in a beautiful, peaceful area surrounded by nature. Flowers, trees, birds, butterflies you name it, we saw it. We even saw sloths out back. If you are a birder, you don’t even need to leave the porch around the house. There were different types of tanagers, red footed honeycreepers, bananaquits, kiskadees, hummingbirds and many more all around the house. I even saw a Squirrel Cuckoo on the jungle walk. Brian was very helpful with setting up our outings. And we did the private chef option for meals and the food was incredible. There are also paddle boards and kayaks available at the house. I would definitely recommend staying there and hope to go back one day.

My husband and I have been waiting for years to visit this amazing location. It did not disappoint! Visiting Dolphin Bay Hideaway was a relaxing, quiet, beautiful reset. Brian and Amy greet you like friends and make sure to take care of all of the details. They have everything you need and more. This relaxing location allows you to sit in silence, observe, dolphins, snorkel, enjoy nature, and sip a delicious beverage made by Amy ;-) we stayed in the bay room, which had an incredibly soft bed, several fans to keep the room cool, and a gorgeous view of the water. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinner each day, which was flavorful, fresh, and accommodated my vegetarian diet ( upon request.) Highly recommend! I have a feeling we will be back with regularity.

It is difficult to describe how special this place is. The owners Brian and Amy are very much hands on and this really contributed to the enjoyment of the holiday for us. With just 4 rooms, the service is personal and very much adapted to what you want to do, be it nature walks, snorkelling, boat trips, searching for dolphins, photography, exercise or just doing nothing but enjoying the views and passing birds and the dolphins in the bay. Brian is very passionate about rewilding the property and working closely with the locals and this shows in the great trees, plants, flowers, insects, birds and tiny colourful frogs found on the property as well as the quality of the staff/partners who work for/with him. This is not a place where you will be shipped off on a tour of the islands crammed onto a boat with a dozen other tourists. The activities feel very personal and their cost is very reasonable. The food produced by Amy and the chefs was consistently excellent and there is a good choice of cocktails, wine and beers to buy at any time. It was great to sip a cocktail on the dock at the end of the day watching the dolphins and other comings and goings. The kayaks and SUPs that you can use any time mean there is a good chance of getting up close and personal with the dolphins. We were very sorry to leave after 5 nights and could have stayed longer. If you come here you should stay a minimum of 3 nights but longer if possible. Brian and Amy - keep up the great work!
