Golden City Hotel & Spa, Tirana

The hotel was near the center. Everything was perfect, the accommodation, the cleaning, breakfast, friendly stuff. I will choose again this hotel for my trips in Tirana. Really nice hotel. In the room you have coffee and tea for free. I suggest for all.

I had a wonderful stay in Tirana. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome throughout my visit. There was also a parking site for anyone arriving with their own cars. The spa access was a fantastic perk, offering a relaxing treat after exploring the city. Facilities were clean and spotless.

Great experience, I spent 3 nights with my family, kids loved it (for me and my wife is very important). Very comfortable rooms, with clean sheets and soft bed. Breakfast was an abundant buffet with fresh food and drinks. Location is at the city center, 3-4 min walk. We'll be back for sure.

I was in Tirana for business, so I was looking for a place with great location and comfort. I found it at Golden City Hotel. Not only that, great rooms, food and quiet place to work on my laptop. Staff was willing to help for your requests anytime. I am surely coming back in my next time in Tirana.

What a lovely hotel tucked away in a back street. Only 10 minutes walk from the square. Definitely get the bus to Bunk’Art 1 and the cable car up the mountain bus no 11 takes about 20 minutes and costs around 40p each way. Great Italian next door to the hotel and not expensive at all

This is a 3 star hotel promoting itself as 4 star and the management were too proud to hear it. From the moment you arrive at the hotel, you can tell straight away from the surroundings what the inside is going to be like. The location The location of the hotel is very central, however the hotel is on a side street where the houses look derelict and it’s a tiny street to drive on. Most of the other 4 star hotels were on the main road. The room We booked a double room which turned out to be quite small and the best ‘suite’ in the hotel turned out to be just an average sized room in a hotel. Upon arriving, we expressed our disappointment to the management at the fact that we paid for a 4 star standard to get a 3 star quality. The managers response was as follows: 1. It doesn’t matter if you book a 4 star or 3 star you get what you pay for. 2. If you pay 65 euros a night, it’s not enough to secure good quality in Tirana or any city in the world. 3. Having dirty walls in the room doesn’t count as wear and tear because the guests caused the wear and tear. We’re widely travelled and have visited top cities in Europe including Budapest etc, and the above excuses are disappointing to hear. It’s clear the management is not ready to receive tourists! They refused to refund us even 2 nights out of our 3 nights stay so we could go to a better equally priced hotel! We were upgraded to a better room which had a sock covering the fire alarm and they didn’t even notice! Some of the double rooms stunk! We were offered free spa treatments for forcing us to stay, we declined after having the breakfast. Breakfast Breakfast is only one option every day and you don’t get to choose which can get repetitive. *********** also had no support for us and sided with the hotel because they paid for sponsored ads so be very careful making the decision to book this property. If you’re looking for a central location, then great but if you’re looking for a good quality of stay and good nights rest then not so much.
