I booked this hotel so that my daughter can experience how it’s like to live on a university campus. Well, I regret it right away. It was just an old hotel with outdated decor.
First of all, the room we stayed had a horrible mold smell. We stayed one night and my daughter had allergic reactions. (Room 2621)
On the second night we were moved to another room. This room definitely had a better air quality. But, there was no hair dryer. (Room 1428)
I also used a laundry room on the basement (c level). You must buy a card with minimum of 10 dollars, but as three driers failed to dry my clothes, I wasted so much money and time. These laundry machines and dryers are not maintained well at all. Beware and try not to do laundry there.
All and all, I do not recommend this hotel. But, I appreciate the front desk lady, Ms, Marina for taking care of our needs when we were desperate. Thank you!

Toronto is a beautiful city, I would visit again, but probably would choose another hotel. The location is wonderful, within walking distance to many places like Kensington market, Chinatown, and Harborfront. Our room looked out onto the Toronto sign in Nathan Phillips square, Eaton Centre shopping mall is less than a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is not conventional, it is a student dorm for University of Toronto students, you are staying in a college dorm room. The room is spacious but the amenities are old, basic and outdated. Parking is not included, underground parking garages are available around the hotel for about 26 CAD/day. Breakfast is self-serve in the cafeteria, it’s good enough to fill you up but the food is nothing special.
