Hotel Townsville dengan Sarapan

Without being critical, we have to say that it was the wrong choice for our holiday purpose. The hotel is located within the central business area. The location is more suitable for business type travelers, away from more tourist area such as Strand which is closer to the beach. As such the area does not have much of a choice relating to eating, drinking and entertainment. The hotel is located in a four story building. Only floor level 1 and 2 are allocated to the hotel. Majority of the hotels rooms are exposed to either Sturt Street or the Stanley Street. The windows did not appear to be double glazed as some traffic noise was heard in the room. As the traffic level is very low during the night, this noise level was not a major issue. We were first allocated room 205, which had issues with the curtain rail runners. As such the curtains did not close properly. The road side lighting pole was just next to the room and the light itself was next to the room. Together with these issues night time sleep was adversely affected. At our request we were moved to another room 203. This room was much better. Some traffic noise was heard particularly when the vehicles make high acceleration after being stopped at the traffic lights (being at the junction) At level one of the hotel, there is a little common area with a large size refrigerator, microwave, cloth washing machine and a cloth dryer. The cloth washing powder, crockery & cutlery, tea, coffee were also available at this common area. The reception staff and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful right through our stay.

The double bed room was the cheaper option even though we were travelling as a couple however the facilities were clean, staff exceptionally friendly and service 24 hour.

I only stayed one night but I will be back. Basic, but lovely and clean. The bed was really comfortable and there was a selection of pillows on the bed. Soft and firm. Just perfect. I had just come off night shift, so I just needed to get some sleep. I didn’t get to look at the pool area. Maybe next time.

Initially sent to the wrong room but the desk staff sorted it. The views are great of either the ocean or marina. We had an ocean view , also overlooked the pool. The place is actually quiet considering its also a ****** and popular restaurants. The staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights and can recommend this hotel for a couple or family stay. It's close to the strand and easy walking to lots of cafes , restaurants and the beach side walk.

My wife and l were put in apartment 5A on the first floor. This apartment is in dire need of an update. We were there for four nights and paid $162 per night, if you are getting an apartment that is fresh and clean and updated to a reasonable standard then this would not be a bad price to pay in Townsville. But sadly 5A is no more than $100 a night at best. The carpet had so many stains that l said to my wife; that it wouldn’t matter what we spilled anything on it because no one would be able to tell the difference. The tv was tiny, the kitchen was barely equipped, the shower made a very strange noise all the time it was in use. In general it was just a no frills apartment. The only two good points are that the bed was really comfy and the reception staff were great, they did all they could within their means to make our stay pleasant. In hind sight we both said that if we were staying in Townsville again we would pick a more central hotel, because without a car we felt a little out of it.

Very nice room with good layout and spacious enough. Near pool and restaurant, I'm glad it was a quiet Monday night and not a weekend otherwise noise could have been an issue. Good service and tasty food. The place had a nice atmosphere, great to meet friends or family and enjoy the ambience.

I had a wonderful stay at Seagulls Resort in Townsville. The resort is located in a beautiful setting, overlooking the sea and Magnetic Island. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you need. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. I enjoyed the two saltwater pools, the tennis court, and the playground for the kids. The resort is also close to many attractions, such as the Strand Beach, Reef HQ Aquarium, and Townsville Mini Golf and Fun Park. I would highly recommend Seagulls Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Townsville.

Start with positives, clean rooms (inside) location right on the beach, wifi works well, communication about our deluxe room not being suitable for booking with pet The negatives paid for a premium ocean room upfront for 4 nights and was assured on phone would be swapped out for a similar standard as had a small dog, what we got was a room straight out of the 80s, a family room with 3 beds no less. When we queried it, was told this is our best option as other rooms were literally just a bed, and much smaller. Ok, we thought not ideal and felt a bit ripped off, but our choice was to travel with our dog so ok work with it. Then the real crap started, our room was right next door to a kitchen of a busy restaurant, the restaurant used external ( I hope temporary ) refrigeration that was you guessed it parked outside our room. On one side of our door old boxes and other restaurant clutter, the other a compressor going off attached to a refrigerated trailer (one of 2). Then the poor staff had to walk past the room window over 80 times (we counted one night) each time 2 doors creaking and slamming to get provisions, this would go on until approx 11:30pm every night. The real fun was renovations in the same restaurant starting with drills at 7am, but it was okay as the mattresses (remember we had 3 beds for us both) kept us awake anyhow, as they were as old as the 80s decor and went some way to keeping a 30-year-old marriage in form, as we rolled towards each others embrace at every opportunity in the pit that I think was the middle. We left a day early tempted to give the room away but figured why share the misery? I wouldn't normally write a review as having worked in tourism and owned tourism businesses, I know it can sometimes be a bit hard to get things right, but having had a chat 3 times felt compelled as they simply couldn't give a shiiiite, offered no partial refund nor even a 10% dinner discount. Citing you used *********** smile bs more smiles, more bs can't do anything *BS did I mention work in tourism Up ya game, I won't even mention how the pool looked compared to marketing photos, makes me laugh too much, if I was so sleep deprived I would bother to upload photos.

Really amazing stay, enjoyed using the facilities (especially the gym! The only thing about the gym is that for the weight section there isn’t any type of mirror to see yourself, but overall was amazing). Also, loved the tv, and being able to look up and listen to our own type of stuff, really cool. Would definitely come here again, no doubt! Thank you Palmer!

Mercure Townsville is a great hotel, the team are always friendly and welcome you back each time. Bobbie in the restaurant is a super star, always great to see her smiling. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Easy parking, great pool, and excellent A/C in the rooms.
