The room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the friendliness of the hotel staff and the attentiveness at breakfast. Breakfast is simple, but tasty with great options, including hot eggs and bacon. Parking was easy and the location of the hotel is great with easy access to town.

We visited the garden restaurant after a walk to the waterfall for coffee and cake. The garden restaurant is situated at the bottom of some steps and was pleasant. The waitress was initially friendly and as it was a very hot day we ordered black forest gateau and iced cappuccinos each, as thought they would be nice and refreshing. When the iced coffees arrived they were quite small in the glass (only about half full) - see photo before we tasted anything- and when my wife had a sip she realised it wasn't cold but was luke warm. I asked the waitress if we could have an icecube to cool it down but was told no, she didn't have any ice cubes (bear in mind this is a hotel!). We think maybe she just didn't want to walk upstairs to get any. Obviously the coffees were pretty undrinkable (they seemed to have been made with a hot coffee shot and room temperature milk). My wife had about 1cm of hers and I had less of mine. When we came to bill the coffees had been included even though there was obviously something wrong with them (as I had pointed out to the waitress when I asked for the ice cube). We questioned about the coffees and explained that they weren't iced coffees but tepid coffees. However the waitress just repeated that if we ordered them we have to pay for them. My wife hates any fuss so I reluctantly paid even though we couldnt drink them. The waitress had three opportunities to put the situation right after they sold something they obviously were unable to provide 1) provide an ice cube to cool down the drinks when we asked 2) noted that we weren't drinking the coffees and offer us a replacement 3) remove them from the bill. 3 wasted opportunities to do the right thing. We had been in Germany for 6 weeks up until then and had really positive experiences, unfortunately this happened on our last day and it isn't the image we want to take away. The black forest gateau was OK but I'm sure there are much better establishments in Triberg. I would love to hear back from the manager of this establishment.

Modern hotel with classic, large, cleaned and well-furnished rooms, for a really 4 star level! Near to the town center in a strategic very silent position, for a really comfort stay, in a so expensive little village. Good and large breakfast, very kind staff, quality/price ratio is no doubt higher than other hotel nearby, you can leave your car for free just in front of the hotel.

Chambre de bonne taille. Bonne literie. Situation calme à proximité de la fameuse cascade. Bon restaurant et bon petit déjeuner. Malheureusement l'accueil est déplorable. Pas un sourire ! Je déconseille fortement. Passez votre chemin et donnez votre argent à des professionnels qui vous accueillent correctement.

Die Zimmer sind modern und gut ausgestattet. Man spart etwas an der Heizung, nur auf 12 Grad eingestellt, für ein Badezimmer zu kalt meiner Meinung nach, dann muss man halt lange das heiße Wasser laufen lassen. Ob das am Ende günstiger ist, wage ich zu bezweifeln. Das Frühstück geht eigentlich gar nicht, es sei denn man mag billigste Aufbackbrötchen und Wurst und Käse aus dem Discounter. Kaffee ist auch rar, um jede Tasse muss extra gefragt werden. Auf die Frage ob wir uns ein Brötchen belegen dürfen und auf die 15 km Wanderung mitnehmen dürfen wurde dies bejaht. Später wurde es dann als Lunchpaket für 6,00 Euro pro Person berechnet. Hier sage ich, auch wenn es noch ein Apfel dazu gab, ein absolutes No-Go. Also werden wir beim nächsten Mal halt woanders übernachten, dann fehlen halt beim nächsten Mal die 160 Euro die wir bezahlt haben in der Kasse. So kann man keine Gäste gewinnen oder gar behalten. Schade
