This hotel is not only very well located, it also has a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Rooms have very comfy beds and pillows so you'll get a great quality of sleep here. The service is excellent, in both the bar and the restaurant. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations and the common areas, this is a hotel with soul and personalit. We walked from here to the Christmas market and multiple museums. The only point that needs improvement is the breakfast, the coffee was average, limited bread selection and no pancakes or waffles, I have been to cheaper hotels with better breakfast. Parking is conveniently located and decently priced. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and the overall experience was great so we definitely will back to this hotel as we want to use the spa next time.

We booked a komfort room. Was very clean and with simple modern furnishing. It was quiet and the air con worked well which is needed in the heat of August. Slightly annoying that it beeped and flashed when the hotel set timer switched it off automatically after a set period. We weren’t expecting this and it woke us up with a start in the middle of the night. Unfortunately the garage on site was not able to fit our high car as the hotel has limited parking with high head space. We found a parking nearby in a pay and display place, so not a huge problem. We didn’t eat breakfast in hotel which was probably a mistake as we found the local (nearby hotel) cafes to be not particularly appetising, maybe we just picked the wrong ones. However we did find a great restaurant in walking distance called La Kramerei. You need to book, at least in August. I can recommend the hotel.

Trotz Hochwasser an der Mosel war das kein Problem für das Hotel, auch wenn die Mosel direkt vor der Haustür liegt. Wir immer haben wir ohne Frühstück hier übernachtet, da dieses für die gebotene Qualität zu teuer ist. Wie haben das vor einigen Monaten einmal ausprobiert und dann nicht mehr. Trotz Business Zimmer war keine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer, ansonsten ist das Hotel und der Service in Ordnung

When you go to a 4* hotel, you expect a certain level of quality such as having a fridge in the room and air con (all requirements for an international 4* . We were in the best room possible (bar the suite) and had none of the above, nor a kettle. The lack of amenities is disappointing and misleading (although I do not know if the star classification for Germany says that there needs to be aircon/fridge/tea/coffee making facilities.) When we arrived we were disappointed to find that this hotel is located in an industrial area. You have to drive between 2 car garages to get there. It does overlook a nice park but I pity the people who had car park view and view of the job centre opposite (approx half the hotel.) It seems the rooms are very hit and miss. A huge proportion will be on the car park side/job centre) side and the more expensive rooms will overlook the park. But the ones in the souterrain (basement) overlooking the park look like they might be quite dark. Our room had a nice balcony and was nicely furnished but we paid a lot to have this. The spa area is nice but lots of it is outdoors (i.e. to get to the relax room and one of the saunas you have to go outside.) We did not try breakfast. I feel the management should manage expectations and downgrade it to a 3* (at least for non-German travellers).

A nice little stay here for one night on business. The hotel is a little bit out of the way of the city, it would be about €25 each way in a cab to get there or there is a bus stop outside the hotel which can get you there in around 45mins and the help reception staff tell you how. Public transport is also free which is fantastic. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had a nice design. I had a really comfortable sleep and the room was quiet. The room also had AC. It did lack amenities in the bathroom like cotton buds etc. but it had Rituals shower gel/ hand wash which was lovely as we have the same one at home so a nice touch. I was surprised the room didn’t have an iron and ironing board, I had to ask reception and carry to my room. The phone also didn’t work in the room to contact reception which was a little frustrating. I ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely, the waitress who served me was pretty exceptional with her customer service as well! The hotel is close to the airport around a 6-8 minute drive so was really handy for this. Though I am surprised it didn’t offer some form of an airport transfer facility at the hotel, like a paid shuttle bus. Luxembourg has to be the most expensive place in the world for taxis so be warned! I had a 7am flight and whilst I was staying so close, it cost me €45 to go 6 minutes at 5.30am (apparently night rates are even more expensive). I nearly had a heart attack when the driver told me!

Quelle déception, le personnel qui avant était si sympathique est aujourd’hui des plus désagréable mis à part la réception. Nous avons pris des cafés au bar lounges vers 16h, lorsque nous sommes venus pour l’apéritif à 19h, les tasses n’avaient toujours pas été débarrassées, ceci malgré le fait qu’entre 17h et 19h il n’y avait vraiment pas grand monde à servir. Au restaurant, le serveur est d’une condescendance hors norme, moqueur et peu agréable. Le dîner était bon, mis à part une entrée immangeable, un pâté suri qui a mon avis avait passé la date de péremption depuis un moment… Quel tristesse de ne pas avoir une carte des vins luxembourgeois (comme c’était le cas avant) et de mettre en avant plus de produits du terroir. Le petit déjeuner a perdu en qualité, le saumon fumé épais et plein de peau et de gras, les œufs brouillés sous vide infectes, les pancakes, du carton. Sans parler du personnel, la aussi agressif et ne sachant pas se tenir, une jeune fille adossée au mur attend en regardant les clients avec mépris. Cet hôtel n’est vraiment plus ce qu’il était, la gestion à la française, lui a ôté toute son âme, c’est vraiment dommage. Le service y est moins bon que dans un ibis budget, quel gâchis. Il est temps de mettre un manager digne de de nom qui sera sur tous les fronts ( présent et investi), capable de veiller au bien-être de son personnel. Peut-être que les employés auront alors le sourire et l’envie de travailler…

PPengguna TetamuSadly, we were not entirely happy with our stay. The reception staff is friendly and helpful, but we had a few mishaps during check-in, and even received the key to a wrong (and occupied!) room. Our 'final' room was OK but: it was not very clean, with some black hairs in our bathtub that were never cleared by staff over the course of the next 3 days. One day our room was not even cleaned at all. There was no safe, or minibar. More importantly, the airconditioning did not work at all: as it was during a heatwave and we booked Vienna House mainly for the airco, this was extremely frustrating. Finally, while 2 of 3 breakfasts were pleasant, our final breakfast was a bit of a disaster: there was hardly any food and clearly not enough personnel. Every guest in the room seemed flabbergasted by the empty displays. All in all, I'm sure not everyone will have the above experience, and the hotel has a lot of potential. We've nothing against the staff. But in the end it just didn't feel like a 4* experience.

PPengguna TetamuEin stilvolles, grosses Hotel mit Charm an einer top Lage direkt an der Innenstadt. In 5min ist man zu Fuss mitten in der Innenstadt oder am Theater von Trier. Das Doppelzimmer Premium ist schön und gross, inkl.Badewanne. Das Hotel ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Sauberkeit ist top. Das Personal des Hotels ist zuvorkommend und freundlich, besonders die Damen und Herren an der Rezeption. Besonders schön und erholsam ist der Wellness-Saunabereich im obersten Stock, mit Therasse und Blick über die Dächer von Trier. Herzlichen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Jjojo_globetrotterWe had a fine stay at the hotel. It is a clean, basic hotel, located at the back of the train station in Trier. Great soundpfoor windows. there was a party going on outside but you couldn't hear anything. The only criticism would be that we put a DND sign on the door and the cleaner still came in. I think that this should be respected, even more now during the times of Covid when people might not feel comfortable having someone touching stuff in the room. An extra pillow/cushion for the bed would be great as it's very uncomfortable to sut on the bed and watch the telly with just one pillow. No one present at the hotel after 9pm.
