Hotel berhampiran Plettenburg, Utrecht

Nice hotel, location near at utrecht central station and shopping center. Bed comfortable with wide room. Will come again in this hotel.

Verbeterpunt: (Bij ontbijt) de ”sap” zijn eigenlijk waterige limonade. Daar hoop ik de volgende keer echt sap te verwachten.

from friendly employees to excellent location and beautiful design, the Park Plaza Hotel will be again our choice in our next trip. We enjoyed the breakfast, the comfortable and king sized bed and the well organized hotel. I am mentioning twice the polite and smiling employees!

First and foremost, this is NOT the review I was planning to write. Everything was very nice until the last day of my stay. One day before my check-out, I charged all my electronic devices, left cables on my bed and went to the conference. Upon return, I saw the room cleaned but noticed only at night that my Apple Watch cable disappeared. I searched everywhere & couldn’t find it. Everything else was there (documents, jewellery etc.). Being 100% sure the cable was on my bed BEFORE room cleaning, I spent 2 hours clarifying the issue with staff in the morning. The most ‘exciting’ things happened at the reception. I was offered to be contacted in case the cable is found. I explained that I’m not satisfied with that and asked for the management. A young woman representing the management started our conversation defining the problem as “you’ve LOST your cable” (NO, I HAVEN’T “LOST” my cable, I LEFT IT ON MY BED, NOT the same). She continued accusing me, indicating it’s actually all my fault: - I probably “lost the cable somewhere else, maybe it’ll be found in the hotel”, - I “should have put my stuff in the safe” (MAYBE. But even if I had done it, it would NOT have crossed my mind to put an Apple Watch cable in the SAFE! Maybe I should have put my whole suitcase in the small safe as nothing is safe in this hotel anyway?!) - When I asked for compensation of the cable cost (not so cheap - 40 Euro), she reacted “but do you suggest that someone STOLE your cable?”. I responded I don’t suggest that but I don’t think it’s fair that I left the cable in the room, don’t find it anymore and must pay for it from my own pocket… - “Who knows what happened in the room, not sure the cable was there at all” - so the hotel won’t compensate the loss. Very convenient to say to avoid any responsibility, maybe it’s not the first time when it happens? Overall, I find the way this management staff member spoke to me outrageous & unacceptable. I hope it’s not hotel’s policy to deal with such issues like that.

Everything was great, the only inconvenience was the fire alarm going on for the wrong reasons. Otherwise, the lofts have everything you might need - cutlery, pans, kitchen appliances. The place was clean and you can even use a washing machine but the washing liquid was not provided, you need to buy your own

Hotel DeBlend is located across from the headquarters of Douwe egberts in a semi-industrial area of town, but was very quiet and very convenient. The air conditioning is a terrible inconvenience just like it appears to be in every other European hotel except for the hunfelt. You are not actually in control of the temperature of your room it just makes it a little more cool for a little more warm. You don't have any real control. We found it got a bit warm at night. It is a primarily self-service hotel, but the instances where we required human assistance, the staff were very kind and accommodating. The kitchen is very convenient feature for anyone staying more than a few days. We highly recommend 2L DeBlend.

Een superiour kamer geboekt voor een nacht inclusief ontbijt. Pluspunten: - grote douche - heerlijk (groot bed) - ontzettend goede verduisterende gordijnen - grote minibar/ koelkastje - vriendelijke ontvangst - over het algemeen een nette / schone kamer Minpunten: - klein balkon zonder meubilair (je betaalt extra voor het balkon, maar je kunt er eigenlijk geen gebruik van maken...) - slecht en traag werkende tv - kitranden douche vergeeld - ontbijt standaard - geen activiteiten in het hotel (bijv tafeltennis, biljart, darten etc). Voor €124 geen goede prijs / kwaliteit verhouding en we zouden dit hotel daarom geen t****e keer boeken.

Modern hotel in een bosrijke omgeving. Wij hebben hier 1 overnachting gehad na een dagje uit in Utrecht en een bezoek aan de Pyramide van Austerlitz. Rij even met de auto tot aan de receptie om te horen waar je overnacht. Op het terrein zijn nl meerdere gebouwen. Gebouw 8 en 9 zijn bevatten moderne luxe hotelkamers. De kamers zijn voorzien van een groot raam van vloer tot plafond en over de breedte van de kamer. Het lijkt wel of je weer buiten staat. Uitstekend bed, een bankje met ethernet/usb aansluitingen, TV met Chrome cast. Even wennen, een WC zonder deur. Een bad met douche, nadeel als je wat slecht ter been bent. Overigens geldt dat ook voor het bereiken van de kamers (per trap voor alle kamers). Op de kamer is ook een waterkoker aanwezig, mocht je een kop koffie of thee willen maken. Het ontbijt is op een andere locatie, dus even lopen. Mocht het regenen dan zijn er op diverse plekken paraplus beschikbaar. Prima kwaliteit en voor elk wat wils.
