Hôtel Mercure Valence Sud

Very nice hotel "en route du soleil" What supposed to be an efficient one nighter on our trip the Côte de Azure turned out to be a very pleasant stay! Very welcoming reception, great service at the terrace and superbe service at breakfast. The room was small but the beds are very nice and in the shower you get the luxurious feeling with Nuxe showergel and lotion. Close to the highway (very quiet room) so a fantastic hotel and great value for money!! Well done staff of Mercure Valace Sud!!!

We stayed one night on our way back home. There is a secure parking, and the hotel.is few minutes off the motorway. The pool was much appreciated after the long drive. Staff was helpful, breakfast delicious. We had diner at the Courtepaille next door, very convenient. Rooms are quite small.but ok for one night, they have aircon, a real bonus.

One of the 'above expectations' 4 star hotel located at the southern edge of city Valence in France. Nice dinning area & restaurant. Reception is manned 24/7. Rooms were spacious and clean. As you enter the hotel, you will come along with many great decoration ideas, which reflect a good feel of creative arts. This is located at the southern side of outer ring of the city, so traffic is not too busy and you will have a nice & quite sleep. Beds were comfortable and temperature of the rooms was regulated. I do not find any issue which must be highlighted so happy to leave a good review.

I don't think Valence is a famous tourist town but we pass by quite often as it's halfway between Brussels and southern Valencia in Spain. To be honest, we don't like this hotel because the rooms are too small and the breakfast has so little variety. We stayed in another hotel last time when we passed by Valence. That hotel was much better than this one but they are the same price! I can't mention that hotel's name here but I gave a very positive review for that hotel a few years ago.

Staff are not very friendly. I don’t mean cracking jokes and having long conversations- I mean basic levels of hospitality are lacking. Restaurant is very poor. Virtually no choice and certainly nothing that could be considered a full meal. Most unhelpful in regards to allergy related diet restrictions. Restaurant at front of hotel (a separate business) is much better but very busy (unlike the mercure restaurant- where we were easily accommodated before being ignored and ultimately walking out). No possibility of putting drinks from the bar on the room- everything had to be paid for up front (unlike the other three mercure hotels we stayed in over the last few weeks.) Rooms themselves were as I would expect - clean. Bed comfortable. No easy access to the pool- you have to walk out of the front door. Around the front of the restaurant (in your swimwear) and back in through a gate. Took three attempts to find due to the poor attitude of the staff giving directions. You cannot take drinks by the pool (as with other places) but as pool is remote from the hotel bar area this makes it less pleasant than in the other similar hotels. Did not enjoy our stay which thankfully was only one night

Modern facility and confortable with well equiped rooms. , Very friendly, efficient and helpfull staff. Excellent breakfast in a good environment. Nice and secured parking gives a good feeling when making an intermediate stop on the way home after an holyday.

Very convenient location for an overnight stay on journey from London to Provence - just off A8 but with no autoroute noise. Pleasant ambiance and not expensive, though rooms not very spacious for a couple. Would stay again

On our way down to the South of France, the highway was completely overloaded, and we decided to stop over in this hotel. We made our reservation over the Accord App an it worked perfectly. Once arrived we were warmly welcome with a big smile and our room was directly available. Also, we appreciated that the restaurant of the hotel was still open at 10.15 PM and we had an excellent diner. The card is little but fine and they offer a great choice of wines by the glass as well some more than excellent wine bottles.... The hotel looks modern and new, and the rooms are little but very design and clean. All in one we can warmly recommend this hotel with a good value for money relation.....

Upon entering the hotel you are looking for a reception desk, there are no signs and when I walked in, visible and identifiable staff. I walked around the large open space with plenty of tables and chairs and identified the restaurant and eventually a woman came out from behind a wall to assist. She checked me in with a handheld device. There were not luggage carts. One slow small lift. No bar that was identifiable once again. The double room which I had requested was very small, limited space to store a few items of clothing, no place for luggage, no night table on the second side, the bed was two twins pushed together without an extra cover to protect from the hard seam! That is not a double bed, plus the bedding or comforter was clipped together with a hard piece felt below the sheets! Very disappointing to say the least. I did not stay for breakfast so cannot comment.
