Stayed 1 night. Choice Hotels Reward night. Key card didn’t work, had to go and have reset to make them work. Room was clean, bed comfy, plenty of pillows, quiet. Breakfast was good. Sad to see many Choice Hotels are still not back to having sausage gravy & biscuits. Coffee was hot and good. We didn’t go in pool, but it looked fine. Some suggestions: could a King room have more than 2 towels? I use 2 myself, leaving none for my husband. Could you put more than 1 hook in the bathroom to hang up towels? Could you have an old school paper card that tells non tech savvy how to use the TV? Not everyone can just figure it out on their own. Could you take the butter out of the fridge first thing in the morning so I can actually spread it on my toast or waffle? And can you bring the sausage gravy and biscuits back?

I was visiting the Van Wert area with a friend over a weekend in March 2022, and we had the opportunity to spend a Saturday night at this hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay! The check-in process was okay, and we were able to check in early which I greatly appreciated. The computer was a bit slow in printing a receipt acknowledging that I' paid with cash for the room, but no biggie. Our room (#317) was clean and comfortable... we had no issues whatsoever. I appreciated the fact this hotel had a business center that I was able to use for catching up on my social media, and breakfast in the morning was very good. The only downsides are that you can tell that it's an older building and that the indoor pool does not have a hot tub (we knew this before we'd made the reservation), but honestly, it's probably the best hotel in Van Wert. Also, we were given a room near the elevator despite my request in the initial reservation for a room away from the elevator. (My request for having a room on the top floor was granted - but not the request about it being away from the elevator.) That last thing wasn't a huge deal and wasn't worth the hassle of going back and asking for a different room. We had no complaints at all. We slept well. Our stay was very nice and I'd gladly stay here again if I ever need a room in Van Wert in the future. :)
