Cocogiri Island Resort Maldives

We decided on cocogiri for our first trip to the Maldives this January for my 50th birthday after reading such good reviews. On arrival from our seaplane transfer we were greeted by Tina & some of her team with a big smile, cold towel & fruit punch, we had booked a jacuzzi water villa (214) which was wonderful, right at the end of the row of water villas on the sunset side which we couldnt fault. The island is very private & personal with only 40 rooms in total & all staff know your likes & preferences very quickly & know who everyone is which was lovely & personal. All the bar & restaurant staff are wonderful & are constantly asking if you need anything & Tina the resort manager is truly a one off & an amazing lady who goes above & beyond to ensure everyone is happy & works so hard & such long hours to ensure this, despite having a couple of challenging guests whilst we were there who made her job challenging to say the least, however she dealt with this very professionally & is so respected by her team. We have met so many lovely people at the resort & dive centre ( Gan, Sarah & team) but we have made a special friend for life with Tina 💖. So for the nitty gritty, the AI was sufficient, perhaps if I had to make a suggestion is would be to offer a premium AI for premium spirits etc but I guess that would be hard to monitor who has which package, the buffet was ok, better to get there when it opened for a wider choice rather than near closing, but was all tasty & any special requests or requirements were never a problem. Loved the fact the whole island was all sand & no shoes or dressing up necessary as all very relaxed & chilled. We visited the spa twice & had 2 wonderful couples massages each, so relaxing, highly recommended. Meridis dive centre: We went out & did 2 trips, 1 island hopping to Fulidhoo & the shark & turtles snorkeling trip which was fantastic although I wouldn't do the island hopping again. For myself being a non swimmer the reassurance & calm nature of the team helped me to conquer a huge fear & im so glad that i put my trust in them as boy what an experience that day was & i cant wait to do it again when we return. My partner went out & did 6 dives with Gan & his team & said it was brilliant & saw the most amazing marinelife. All in all we had an amazing relaxing time despite not having the best weather & will return as soon as we can, we miss you Tina & team.

I can’t believe I never wrote a review on our stay! Positives Amazing value for what you get. Ok if you want 5 star luxury and rooms, this is not the place for you but if you want a small resort with lovely staff, good food and great house reef, this is the spot House reef has it all: saw the turtle almost every day, saw a Moray eel, loads of fish, eagle ray etc. We went out 4 times a day for a long swim. Sometimes swimming can be hard work with the current but in general it’s easy swimming Another positive is that you can go by speedboat. We saw dolphin and flying fish on the way. We flew back in the seaplane but it’s more costly. It’s good to have both options. Rooms are great. I preferred the beach rooms. More space to walk out. But again nice to try both Shark and turtle excursion is lovely Small downsides: when the sun is fierce, there is no shade at all on your room terrace. That was a bit of a problem but not a major one. I liked the rooms and especially the bathrooms but furniture is old fashioned. I wish they had chosen white washed furniture for a cool beach vibe with blue accessories. The dark brown makes it look a bit drab and dated. But it’s not a deal breaker. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Maldives has so many resorts but most of them are crazy money or if they are cheap, they don’t deliver. This one ticks all the boxes

Wow what can I say , absolutely heaven ... Tina and her team can't do enough for you .. the Island is magical , the house reef is amazing, so many beautiful fish , resident turtles and sharks too , it was unbelievable. The food was fantastic , buffet always had different options all delicious , oh the desserts wow , the chef's are incredible... Our water villa was beautiful , kept immaculate by the room attendants , very comfortable bed , air con excellent... beautiful access to the reef , snorkeling right off our villa steps ..just magical .... A small resort , flip flops , t shirts and shorts total relaxation ....no need for heels .. We have already booked to go back ... Thank you Cocogiri .... can't wait to return 💕

We chose Cocogiri for our Honeymoon and was not disappointed. As we arrived, we were greeted with Welcome Drinks and check in was smooth. As we entered the room we were greeted with a nice cake and room decorations with an astonishing view of the sea as our background. Staff support was incredibly efficient to tend to our needs throughout our stay. Special commendations to staff below, Resort Manager: Valentina Support staff : Kevin & Deepika Wait staff : Sanjay, & Vimal Bar staff : Vinay & Gautham Meridis Team : Gan & Sarah Photagrapher : Kiram Not forgetting the incredible boat crew as well. Highly recommend to visit. Will definitely come back again!

Our daughter Yolanda gifted us a holiday package at Cocogiri Island Resort Maldives for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. The trip from arrival to d airport, drop to the resort by speedboat was perfect. We were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink. The manager Valentina & Kevin completed the formalities & we were transferred to a beautiful Water Villa with Jacuzzi. The villa was beautiful, well maintained with amazing view. They arranged candlelight dinner at the beach with customised menu. The setup - the experience was like a fairytale. The breakfast ,lunch and dinner menu is elaborate and no dishes are repeated. The manager Valentina, Kevin, receptionist Bhavna ,Deepika and the hospitality staff at banquet Vimal Sanjay and Mukesh are helpful and courteous. Robert & me had an amazing time & returned home with beautiful memories which we will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you Valentina and Team for making our stay at Cocogiri so memorable.
