After discovering the Ca’ Sant’ Angelo apartments, they have become for us our favorite place to stay in Venezia. We have stayed here three times in the past three years and recommend these accommodations to everyone we know, including my parents, who are looking forward to an upcoming visit. You can find extensive reviews of both the San Giorgio and the della Salute apartments that I have written previously. For this review, I want only to reiterate the primary points that make the Ca’ Sant’ Angelo holiday apartments the best place to stay in Venice. The owner and staff provide service of the highest caliber: Paolo and Matteo make arrival easy and pleasant and both are available to improve the vacation with advice, tips, or help organizing special events. The cleaning staff is friendly and efficient: they aren't obtrusive and do a good job keeping everything clean and tidy. We never ran out of essentials like soap, detergent, toilet paper, etc. and it was so nice to have fresh towels and crisp new sheets every couple days. The building has been upgraded with the latest technology. The front door is accessible via keypad, providing hassle-free access to the luggage storage area that is also accessible via keypad. Even the individual rooms are secured with an easy-to-understand keypad system. I had not appreciated how convenient this was until I experienced it: no need to juggle keys! Any member of your party can access the room without disturbing anyone else. A great touch! The rooms are beautifully decorated and a pleasure to live in. The contemporary furnishings are elegant and functional. The bed is extremely comfortable - I prefer it to my bed at home! The kitchen has all of the essentials: stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, and plenty of different size pots, dishware, and glasses so that we could cook and prepare anything that we wanted. The clothes washer is very efficient and high-quality: we washed several delicate and even hand wash items without issue. There is a quality iron and ironing board and lots of hangers in the modular closets that can accommodate any type of clothing. Knowing that we could easily wash all of our clothes made packing a breeze. The drying rack got everything we washed dry in less than 24 hours. The palazzo is ideally located: it is close to many major sights and very convenient to the local ACTV stop: you really can get anywhere in Venice from this location. There are several wonderful restaurants and stores in the immediate area. If, like me, you happen to be a very light sleeper, I do suggest investing in a pair of earplugs: Venice is a living city so there is some noise from outside and other residents do live in the building, so naturally you’re going to hear them. However, everyone was polite and we had no major noise issues: my wife didn’t notice anything at all. I just wore my earplugs and had no trouble. For visits of anything length, I highly recommend that you stay in the Ca’ Sant’
