Our second stay at this amazing hotel. Always the top of the top. Great deluxe room 72 in the original building looking over the most spectacular city lagoon in the universe. We felt like the Doge, the king of Venice, when he was living there. No surprise the rich and the famous had been there. The view from the breakfast roof top is amazing. Every staff should be taken as example for manners and professionalism. Concierge Filippo Bolani sorted out a tricky train reservation in no time. The only tiny “problem”: the bar does not stock a liquor called Coca Buton that the nearby Harris Bar has. The Danieli, yes, is expensive but not dear. It is worth every cent. We will be back next year.

最滿意的是床品，公共空間很美。酒店每天的房價波動有點大。威尼斯反正都是步行。我們把換洗的必要的東西放背包，行李箱寄酒店。等下午15點以後再查是否有便宜價格出來。或者走到哪裡看到中意的酒店就直接住進去。威尼斯新出太多好的五星級酒店了。大可以多嘗試！

首先說這個高分很大原因是攜程客服的專業，我澄清一下這個酒店是沒有免費停車的，停車費自付但是住店會給個小折扣而已，後來客服幫我澄清解決，非常行雲流水，所以為我這個訂單加分不少。 說回酒店，早餐真的很好，不是吃得多好，而是酒店餐廳位置太好了，早餐就看着河道和小船，滿分景觀。 房間很大，設施確實舊，尤其是沙發和床，已經需要換了，沙發有壞的，床彈簧已經壞掉了，但有可能是我房間特別背而已。 浴室更新過，很乾凈，鑰匙會讓你印象深刻的，重重的結實的。 位置就在廣場旁邊，看漲水和坐gondola都太方便，無論床和沙發怎麼樣，就衝著這位置和早餐，再來還定這裏。 前台也很友善。

You absolutely cannot beat this location. Steps from San Marcos, but a nice quiet street. There are tons of restaurants and shops around, and it is an easy walk to anywhere from the Rialto market to the multiple vaporetto stops on the water. Yes, this hotel is dated. There is no doubt. The best way I can describe it is pictures are accurate but a little extra shiny. Fade everything down just a little bit. But the service is fantastic! From check-in, to housekeeping, to the breakfast room, every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. And they can all communicate in multiple languages, which is very impressive. We had two rooms, and one was definitely bigger than the other, but you really don’t spend a lot of time in your room except to sleep. Also, not really any “views”although it is on a canal and you can watch the gondoliers go by. The beds are on the firmer side, and if I had one real complaint, it would be the pillows. Nevertheless, we slept well at night. You do hear the bells in the morning from San Marco, but that just adds to the charm. The breakfast was fresh and had great coffee, eggs, and fruit. We loved sitting out on the piazza in the evening. If you are looking for the modern sterility of an American hotel, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a really good value and an incredible location, this hotel is great! One tip: unless you have a lot of or very large luggage, skip the porter. It is easy to get to the hotel from the taxi stand.

1. The room was very nice, big and spacious 2. Equipped with a kitchenette but without any utensils and that is very strange, no cups, no glasses, no nothing! 3. The matress was sooo hard and uncomfortable 4. The bed was noisy and made sounds, very squeaky! 5. The terrazza was not made up in any way even thou there was a table and 4 chairs, but they were not assembled and the floor was dirty with bird poo all the time even tho they did clean every day....but obvious not this area! 6. The area where the hotel is is very near the saint Marks square......very good location 7. Very quiet even in the night and during the day also 8. The different bells chiming thruout the day and night can be annoying 9. The breakfast is very good but can be very cramped during the weekends due to many many people even thou you have to reserve a table 10. The staff is nice but needs to learn more and better english!

The hotel is adorable; one of those old hotels with old-style rooms. We absolutely loved the decor. The room’s size was okay and the toilet was nice. The room in general is clean and nicely organized. The toilet was villeroy and boch toilet, which is definitely not something you can find easily in Europe. There is someone in reception throughout most of the day until 10 pm. When we checked in we were told that checkout time is at 11 am but we requested an extension through Expedia and it was granted until 12 pm as most hotels throughout the world checkout guests at 12 noon. We also have a baby so it is hard to checkout earlier. The view from the hotel is amazing as it is like 2 meters away from St. Mark’s Basilica! The challenges with this hotel are: 1. No lift! So if you have a kid, or a wheelchair or too many suitcases it is a bit hard. They, however, took our suitcases to our room. 2. You’re not allowed to use an iron in the room, which is a challenge because as a tourist your clothes are folded in the suitcases for a long time so they are all wrinkled and you need to press them before you wear them. 3. We asked if the hotel can iron our clothes since irons are not allowed and they said that we need to provide the clothes at least half a day in advance and the prices are ridiculous. 14 euros to press 1 dress! Yes 14 euros, no mistake! 4. You have to ask them to change your bed sheets or else the will not change them! 5. No coffee machine in the room! This is quite weird as it is standard in most hotels around the world to have a coffee machine for guests. 6. No glasses or cutlery or anything in the room except for soap, shampoo, shower gel, etc. Basically it is a cute clean hotel but too expensive for what it offers

Lets make one thing clear: the staff and the location of the hotel are impeccable. The staff are welcoming and would help you change your room if problem arises. The hotel is also literally right next to St Mark's Square. With that said, everything else are just too outdated and dysfunctional. Rooms are small, doors could not close properly, toilet did not stop flushing... so many problems. If you decide to open the window for some fresh air because the air con did not work, you will be greeted by mosquitos and spiders.
