Forget that super fancy, very expensive hotel next door. You know the one. Stay here instead. The Beverly Hills is fantastic, and the location can’t be beat. We could walk to restaurants and feel very safe. The boardwalk / beachfront was connected to the hotel property (with a security guard offering cold water upon our return). There’s free parking on site, and the pool area, with shaded lounge chairs, is upscale and relaxing. The breakfast options were so ample and varied that it took us several walk-throughs just to determine what we should have (or where we should start!). The room was very pleasant, with robes, nice linens, and a convenient patio with table and chairs for comfortable ocean and people watching. We also had a perfect view of the gorgeous lighthouse. We really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience, and the Beverly Hills gave us everything we wanted or needed at a much more reasonable rate than the Oyster place next door. We can’t recommend the Beverly Hills highly enough!

The team was very welcoming , starting from the security officer at the entrance. He ensured that we felt safe and welcomed. The reception staff was amazing , very friendly people indeed . Our room was very neat , and housekeeping team made sure that i remained clean throughout our stay .

For some of the best views in Umhlanga, try to secure a room on the top floor. Room 903 at The Premier Splendid Inn Umhlanga is seafacing & was absolutely fabulous with top decor. The deluxe suite is complete with living room & gorgeous bedroom with king size bed & a balcony. A huge luxurious bath tub with separate shower and all the frills made for a gorgeous pamper session. We ordered room service with delicious grub and experienced phenomenal service throughout our stay. Definitely a winner!

I was happy when the reservation staff was able to provide me with a room with a view. They were able to accommodate my need to check in early because we were having an event at the hotel. Nothing is better than getting up to a breathtaking view of the ocean. I was disappointed with the bathroom as the shower lacks safety handles. It was a family room so safety is of ultra importance. The shower floor tiles were smooth and slippery. The beds are comfortable and has an ironing board and iron at your disposal. There is adequate cupboard space for a family of 4. Room service was a disappointing a you pay a additional tariff for room service. It took over 45 minutes to have our food delivered on both occasions. The food arrived cold. I requested if we could checkout of the room later, the receptionist allowed us to do so. I was disappointed with the taste and quality of the breakfast. It was mediocre. The plus on the stay was that the food is Halaal, prepared in a fully Hallal kitchen and there was a Halaal Chef present. He accommodated my vegetarian dietary. needs. Also compliments to the staff from Banqueting who handled our event. They were outstanding. Hats off to Nompumelelo Mfeka, Thuthu Mbatha and Chef Precious Ngcongo for exceptional service, understanding our needs and good communication. - from Banqueting Department. Enjoyed my stay. Reception was very helpful. Always feel super relaxed after a stay at the Breakers.

Anchor’ s Rest is perfectly located, walking distance to the beach promenade with the lighthouse on one side and the little Forest Cafe in the other, cozy, friendly decorated and a little bit of Italian style, felt very welcome and enjoyed the pool and the honesty bar, it was really hot, Peter took care that we have everything we need to feel comfortable, very nice to stay in walking distance to Main Street with all the restaurants, enjoyed the stay so much, thanks for recommending Alwi’ s Drift Sauvignon Blanc, was my favorite on the whole trip, thanks again for the warm welcome and all the comfort in your house, highly recommended, Thomas & Birgit

Short of words to be exact lol! The food was excellent and service was top notch! I enjoyed my stay, went to the mall downstairs and you can get everything you want around you, which made my stay more enjoyable.

Rai was excellent! She was efficient in arranging a room that was to my liking. She kept me informed and showed superb customer service skills. Very friendly and so pleasant. My request to check in early was also accommodated as I leave quite early the next morning. I have been on many stays with your group for the last seven to eight years, monthly. I have spent loads of money (+- R65000) doing this and it's all worth it! Especially with staff like her, there. I would employ her at my bank any day! Well done!

Hotel is in a fantastic location! The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean but I'm not so sure about the pool. The water looked clean.. just the floor of the pool was off-putting. I was a bit disappointed I didn't have a fridge in my room. Maybe larger rooms have them? During loadshedding hours, everything is still powered. The wifi was great! Overall, its a lovely hotel and would be happy to stay there again.
