Casa Babi

Really enjoyed our stay at Casa Babi. For us it was the final stop of our holiday to wind down and relax before we headed for home. The positives are many. The food is of a high standard and plentiful. The staff were friendly and attentive. The setting is beautiful - right on the beach. We stayed in the tucul, which suited us being a family. The little thatched cottage with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and lounge area. The accommodation was quite rustic, but had everything we needed for our stay. If i were to be slightly critical, I did feel that at every meal occasion the booking of trips was mentioned (a slightly hard sell). It wasn't intrusive but felt slightly uncomfortable. Probably not helped by the fact that we were the only residents during our few days there, so the focus was on us. This also had the slight downside that once the meal was finished the staff cleared away and then left for the night (around 7.45 - 8pm). We are not big drinkers so i guess it wasn't worth their while hanging around for the odd coke and fruit juice (i believe it says in the info that the bar closes at 10pm). If you wanted to laze around the pool / grounds, there weren't many deckchairs around (only 3 or 4). Perhaps they have a few more if more guests are staying (there were plenty of chairs). Just some info for people staying at Casa Babi. The beach is beautiful, but is very much a working beach and always quite busy. Not at all an issue to us and if you wanted a quieter area, a few minutes walk and you can leave the hustle and bustle behind, but don't expect sunbeds and parasols! They do have really friendly dogs, which we really loved - especially Pepito who followed us around everywhere! Again they do publicise this so don't be surprised about the 4 dogs roaming around. Finally another mention for the food. Prepared fresh every day and to a really high standard. The evening menu changed daily and although we did venture out for dinner, our best meals were at Casa Babi. The breakfast was also excellent with a fresh fruit platter, a large tray of freshly baked and toasted bakery items accompanied with homemade jams etc. Then if you have room, eggs, crepes etc to order - fabulous.

Lovely boutique guesthouse overlooking the beach and the Bazaruto Archipelago. The sea-view rooms are very comfy and romantic. Bathroom products are organic and locally made. The food is simply amazing with scrumptious breakfasts and gourmet 3-course dinners. They only use vegetables from their organic garden and fish from the local fishermen. There is an on-site diving center to arrange the trips to the Bazaruto Archipelago.

Amazing hotel in a little paradise! Excellent welcome, beautiful rooms, outstanding cuisine! Options for diving in a place out of this world. The owner are the nicest people and the ambiance just fantastic.

My partner and I went to Casa Babi for a week in September. We wanted a relaxing holiday away from Zambia, but also a place we could enjoy some activities we love. Casa Babi was the perfect place for us. The food was amazing, the tiny details from the cheese and bread at breakfast, to the options for starters, mains and deserts at dinner. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, could always give us the best recommendations on what to do. The view from Casa Babi was amazing, situated right on the beach you can wake up to the sunrise on the ocean. The amenities in the room were also amazing, from the coconut oil to the shampoo and conditioner. Casa Babi is very central, so my partner and I could go to lunch at other lodges if we wanted something different. He was able to fish for the day and I was able to horse ride without any issues. Casa Babi is right next to the dive shop Odyssea, which was very convenient to walk to early in the morning before my dive There are dogs at this lodge, they are very friendly and go about their day in the sun enjoying the view. Brownie is adorable and playful. Thank you for hosting us, we will be back!

What an amazing place... As a group of kitesurfers, we decided to stay at Casa Babi - and it was the best decision we could have made. Gorgeous surroundings with all kinds of trees and flowers, beautiful rooms with furniture and deco from local artists, the freshest and seriously one of the tastiest foods we've eaten on our numerous around the world kite travels (we had HB), friendly staff, fantastic kite and dive instructors who'll take you on day trips you'll never forget, a wide variety of other offered activities (ie. local cooking classes the African way!) and the owners, Sabrina and Denis, who have an incredible eye for detail and always go that extra mile to make your stay truly special. Thank you to the entire Casa Babi team, we will surely be back!! :)

Excellent hôtel ! Great location, beautiful view, outstanding restaurant and very friendly staff. Having a dive club on site is just perfect. The location in town made it very convenient. The beach is a local beach filled with activity and amazing photo opportunités The waters are filled with fish and the colors are out of this world
