We had the joy of staying in room 33 "Vega" in the Torre Paradis for 3 nights. This is not a cheap hotel, but it is important to note that unlike many hotels in Spain, this is a proper 5* hotel in the grand old sense, and very traditional so made a very nice change from the ultra modern 5* hotels that may do everything well but lack any character or charm. This hotel is spread out over a large area with a multitude of buildings and sections, direct access to two beaches (one is a naturist beach), a great health and pool club, a lovely bar with epic views, a brilliant small pool area also with its own bar and more stunning views and all kinds of rooms and suites. Our arrival at Montiboli was great. The guy on reception came and got all of our luggage from our car & took us on the walk to our room in the Torre Paradis which is on the far side of the hotel...it was a bit of an expedition but this made it feel more exclusive and we knew we had more privacy and a better view and we were not disappointed...if we could wake up to this view every day we would be in paradise and the sunrises (east facing) were spectacular and that's an understatement! The room, while a bit old fashioned had been updated and had all the necessary modern touches and a balcony with the most wonderful views. The bed was super comfy and there was plenty of room to store luggage and clothes as well as a very nice shower and bathroom. Staff at the hotel are superb and all are really friendly, especially the front office and bar teams. We also enjoyed the spa pool and activities in the leisure club. One of the main highlights was breakfast though. Not only was there amazing sunrises to enjoy, but the spread of food was incredible and the quality of everything in particular the freshly made tortillas was outstanding. Overall, one of the best breakfasts I've had in any hotel globally. And the main pool area was glorious...probably helped that it was a bit quieter as it was October but enjoying a bottle of chilled Cava by the poolside was bliss. The hotel also has plentiful free parking spaces across the main road and great access to the main roads nearby (and trains) to get to key places such as Alicante and Villajoyosa with a huge selection of restaurants. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel for a luxurious 5* hotel experience.
