Hotel berhampiran Kenessa, Vilnius

One of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had! Not only the usual multiple coffee selections, juices, fresh fruit, croissants, good bread, toast and whatnot, but also omelette, salmon, slices of beef, a full cheeseboard including blue cheese, crepes, sundried tomatoes and - welcome to the cold oceans of the north - pickled herring! Yum! Also some kind of chocolate-coated thing that I will try tomorrow! An absolutely exceptional breakfast! Apparently there are two Hotel Congress in Vilnius so make sure you come to this one!

Rooms are a decent size if a little dated style. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and a good choice hot or cold. I would give the hotel top marks for being clean and tidy. Check in is by keypad and code is sent in advance but there is a help desk on site and the lady there was very helpful. There is also a luggage room which helps if you are early or need to store for a while after checkout

The hotel is a short walk from the old town. The street it is on is quiet and I felt safe walking there, even at night. After 8pm there are no staff on site but there is a keypad with code for security at the door. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly. Rooms are bit dated but extremely clean and had everything I needed, including a fridge and hairdryer in the room. For the price it is extremely good value. Unfortunately I didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel but it smelt very good and was included in the room rate. I would definitely stay here again as it was a good budget friendly option.

We booked a Business Double room and it was great - huge bed, soft sheets and big pillows, nice bathroom. As this was our first Business room, I wasn't used to additional items like ear-plugs for better sleep, shoe-shine wipes etc. - awesome! Breakfast at the restaurant area was nice, I left filled with tasty food. If someone will ask me where to stay in Vilnius, I'll recommend this hotel!

The Ibis Centrum is located approximately 12 minutes walk from the old town over the river into the new quarter. It is on the opposite side of the city to the train and bus station. My advice would be either to get a cab (25 euros!!), Uber or bus to the hotel. The airport bus also has a stop close by. Check-in was quick, friendly and professional. My mobility assist room was located on the 4th floor. Their are two lifts and both were working. The room was large, light, modern and airy with standard ibis decor and fittings. A flat screen tv, hanging space, writing desk and air con, the double bed (2 x singles together) was extremely firm - too firm for me personally but others might prefer a hard bed. The shower room was extremely large and spotless clean. My only wish is that ibis provide a shelf in the shower area to put your shower paraphernalia on. Not easy having to constantly bend to the floor to pick up shampoo etc. On the ground floor of the hotel next to reception is a lounge area, children’s play area, bar and breakfast room (ibis kitchen). Breakfast is the standard ibis Fayre of hot and cold food. The croissants were particularly large and very good! I did use the ibis kitchen for a casual dinner. The pasta dish was fine. I would have liked more choice though. Note that the hotel does have an underground car park, and accepts well behaved dogs (supplement). Despite the poor wet weather? I enjoyed my stay at the ibis centrum. On a final note their was one particular member of staff I would like to commend. A blonde haired lady (sorry I did not get her name) who worked the ibis kitchen and bar was extremely helpful towards me. She offered to carry my breakfast tray (I use a walking stick) , and when ordering drinks (pot of tea for 2 euros is a bargain) she brought them personally to my table. She is a credit to the hotel. After staying in Vilnius for over a week, this hotel is hands down the best! Not only is it within a 6 minute walk to Old Town, the prices are reasonable, the restaurant is great, and the the staff is overwhelming friendly. We moved hotels after road tripping Lithuania, and chose to come back here due to the exceptional service and spacious modern rooms. Janus at the front desk is absolutely fabulous, offering help and assistance and a cheery disposition, plus there is always someone at the front desk to assist. The restaurant is convenient and the waitstaff is prompt and gracious. Coming from North America this was but when I come back to Vilnius I will be most definitely be staying here!

ABSOLUTLY NOT RECOMMENDED! WE BOOKED 2 DOUBLE ROOMS IN SEPTEMBER 2022 FOR A RAMMSTEIN CONCERT. AT THIS POINT THEY HAD A LOT OF ROOMS FREE AND OFFERED IT IN ***********. IN MAI 2023 (7 month later!) THEY CANCELED OUR ROOMS (2 DOUBLE ROOMS) WITH THE CASE ”SORRY - OUR HOTEL IS OVERBOOKED”. BUT THE REAL AND TRUE CASE WAS, THEY OFFERED THE ROOMS TO OTHER GUESTS CAUSE OF RARLY AVAILABLE ROOMS IN MAY 2023/VILNIUS. WE ORGINALLY PAID 599 EURO FOR ONE WEEK TOTAL FOR BOTH DOUBLE ROOMS IN SEPTEMBER 2022. IN MAI 2023 THEY OFFERED THE ROOMS FOR OVER AROUND 2000 EURO+ PER WEEK (EACH ROOM!). FROM THE BUSINESS POINT OF VIEW ITS SURLY WISE BUT ITS REALLY REALLY UNFAIR TO THE GUESTS TO F*CK THEIR LONG PLANNED HOLIDAYS IN THE LAST MOMENT BEFOR THE TRAVEL BEGINS. IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR US TO FIND ANOTHER PAYABLE HOTEL IN VILNIUS SO WE HAD TO CHOOSE SOMETHING 30KM OUTSIDE OF VILNIUS CITY. WE HAD TO USE BOLT/UBER TAXIS EVERY DAY AND WE HAD ALOT OF EXTRA COSTS CAUSE OF THIS OUTRAGEOUS HOTEL. WE ARE VERY VERY DISAPOINTED AND I WILL POST THIS STORY WHEREVER I CAN! UNBELIEVABLE!

Great location with budget stays. Less than 10€ with Bolt taxi booking at app to hotel. My room with great views of the Old Town city. Just 200m opposite is the train and bus station. Easy travel to Trakai Castles by train

I really liked the hostel, room smelled very nice, and was decorated with love. Realy appreciated the welcoming letter ♥️ 🌲Very atmospheric garden and love that you can grill there. 🌲Very good morning coffe. I love the rustic hippy / Pipi Langstrumpf style! 🔥Easygoing and chill. Now the bad parts: Sorry but i hate the toilet situation there.🙈💩 Often times there was no soap (yes i kindly asked staff to refill, but next day same thing). You have to put used toilet paper in a bin (without a lid) 🙈 Very weak flushing. The ventilation was not strong enough so the air felt damp. I had to gag several times and felt like puking sorry. Also if you have an opnenbin with used toilet paper, of course it will be dampy and eww. A lot of people used the bathrooms, so i had to run up and down but no empty one in mornings. There are no pissoirs, so it frequently happened that nasty men peed standing, causing pee splatters everywhere.(mostly night time) I simply could not poop my whole stay, had to go over to the newly build 'fancy' food hall, which had nice toilets. With good flushing. Good pooping there👌 Would stay there again if i had a room with private toilet.

В гостинице Vilnius Grand Resort отдыхали не первый раз. 3 раза проживали в номерах ДЕЛЮКС и много раз в улучшенном. В этот раз был улучшенный номер, но я раньше такой мебели не видела - комодик из сосны 30 лет от роду. Прямо смотреть было невозможно. Легкой занавески на окне нет- уюта никакого. Но постель белоснежная, ванна суперчистая. Завтрак никуда негодный Пережаренный бекон, сухая старая селедка, даже яичницы глазуньи нет. Завтрак ухудшился Поставили хорошие кофейные аппараты, а купить приличный кофе сэкономили. Рекламируемый SPA практически недоступен - там родители с детьми. Выход есть - платим 19 е и идем в новый SPA. Там чудесно.
