This place is a shadow of what it used to be. The hotel’s charm has completely worn off, and the family running it seems to have lost interest in maintaining any standards. The rooms are overpriced, noisy, and far from relaxing. The food, while still decent, is nowhere near the quality it was a few years ago. Expectation times are ridiculous—there’s rarely anyone at reception, and there aren’t enough waitresses to handle even a half-full restaurant. Sadly, the hotel gets worse with each passing year, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone anymore

Store Ringheim Hotel is a special place. It's up on the hill and if you're willing to do the 30 minute uphill walk then you can get some lovely views of Voss. Of course you can always drive too. The rooms are very comfortable, with plenty of pillows and a good shower. There's an outlet on each side of the bed. It feels very well designed. The restaurant is excellent, both dinner and breakfast. The half board option is absolutely the way to go. Everything is fresh, local, and delicious. The owners of the hotel know their craft well! I was there in the low season, and I was the only guest, but they still made me feel welcome.

The hotel room is normal but the waitress of the restaurant is like a disaster. At 7pm we went to the glass house of the restaurant to have a drink and we didn’t feel like to eat. After we had the drinks and tried to pay, the waitress was very angry and asked why we don’t eat. The restaurant still got many empty seats and we don’t understand why we must order food. We have been travelled in Norway for a week and she is the rudest person I ever seen.酒店很普通，餐厅服务非常差，女服务员看上去很累的样子，也没有笑脸。我们点了几杯饮料和酒，不太想吃东西所以喝完准备买单，服务员很生气的问我们为什么不点吃的。餐厅还有很多空位子，我们为什么必须点吃的？下北欧旅游了这么多天，这家的服务是最差的。

Hotel was unique and lovely. The hosts provided a friendly personal touch. Breakfast had a range of items with fresh coffee and eggs. The rooms differ so decide if you want new and modern look or traditional Norwegian. Whichever you chose the Rooms are clean, great shower and comfy beds. The rooms are converted from the traditional farm buildings so can be a little noisy, but nothing to stop me booking again. Great hotel and throughly recommend

Beware. This hotel and restaurant is managed very poorly and has very poor customer service. 1. On their website they mention they will provide transport. They are poor at responding to emails so arranging the pick up will be difficult. They provided us excuses even when finally contacted. Going 2 miles from the station to the hotel will cost you $40-50 round trip. The hotel is already expensive. We asked the day before we left and an employee said bringing us to the train station was no problem. Though the next morning the elderly manager argued with us and said "the car is gone " and wanted to call A taxi "at our expense". Finally after arguing and losing our respect , a guy took us back. 2. Severely understaffed in all areas. Breakfast "buffet " was very simplistic and quite disappointing for this price of a hotel. Items on the "buffet " which ran out and weren't replenished until we were finished. 1-2 workers for about 20-30 patrons. 3. Their dinner is excellent but their lack of staff (and even she wasn't knowledgeable ) made it difficult to relax. No Ability to be attentive to your needs and this is very poor for a meal which without drinks costs $150-200. No check back to see if the food was ok. For much of the first half there one lady who was "serving " 6-9 tables plus checking in guests into the hotel. Thereafter the two elderly owners joined the one lady. When asked for a potato substitute we were refused. Menu items weren't explained or were confusing by multiple customers. Finally the cook or owner agreed to give more vegetables instead of potatoes. Until then the answer was simply "no". $75-100 pp and "no" is all They know how to say ? Great food but property run in a very amateur manner. Poor customer service.
