What a perfect place with ideal location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants on Melrose. Well appointed room with great vibes. This is our 2nd stay at The Charlie and we won't stay anywhere else in West Hollywood!

One of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. The buildings have been beautifully restored, the staff is incredible and it’s in an amazing location. I stayed in the Ruth and a place like this would have been my dream apartment when I lived in LA. It felt so much like home that I half expected to see my cats greeting me every time I opened the door. I very rarely write reviews but did so this time because I wanted to do everything I could to make sure The Charlie stays in business forever. I will definitely be returning.

The Charlie is a wonderful place to stay where you feel like you are in your own quaint little peaceful space. The greenery around the area makes you feel like you aren't in a busy city, but in the countryside. Such a breath of fresh air when visiting a place like LA. Having a full kitchen was such a blessing so you could keep food in the refrigerator and prepare food as you please. There were no strong synthetic fragrances which we can be very sensitive to. The bed and linens were very comfortable. We felt safe and comfortable the whole time we were there. The staff was very welcoming and sweet. I love that there is privacy with gate, including parking. This is the best place to stay in West Hollywood and will be definitely staying again when back in the area.

Comfortable, clean and nicely decorated rooms. We had everything we needed and then some. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay!

Hellen was wonderful, we were 6 adults and one 1 we stayed in Gloria and Marlene, later shifting to Valentino. Loved the property, service, location - everything! A wonderful and pampered stay. The folks are very helpful and accommodating. We loved it.

The Charlie hotel is like no other place we've stayed. You feel as if you are living an alternate life where you have rich friends with a charming guest cottage outfitted just for you. We love staying in the Steve room (our second visit to the hotel), sitting on our private patio in the evening and in the morning. We didn't want to leave. This is a not-to-be missed place to stay, with each cottage a little different, surrounded by gardens and trickling fountains for an instant feeling of peace.

I stay here every time I am in Los Angeles (which is several times a year). It is a charming bungalow hotel that is beautiful and has great style. The gardens and balconies are a fantastic place to escape the city. The staff is kind, helpful and always very attentive. The history of The Charlie is an added bonus for Hollywood history buffs. I love The Charlie Hotel!
