What an amazing weekend we had staying at your beautiful inn ...Thankyou Bird in hand. Staff and management made us feel so welcome and service and customer relations was 10/10 . The food was ' THE BEST 'we've ever had anywhere ..delicious and excellently presented. Our room was perfect , clean and comfortable. What a lovely location also ..we will be back for another visit very soon . Thankyou again

Hard to say if it’s a good business or work stopover.. judging from the food, it’s more of a treat establishment.. the food was lovely but the way, really good.. service was slow but honestly I didn’t mind.. I was in no hurry. Room was pleasant enough, the huge sleigh bed was covered with repairs and bits of metal holding it together.. Only issue I had, it just seemed a little snobby and uppity.. the staff weren’t rude at all but they certainly weren’t attentive and asking for a drink seemed a bit of a chore.. The Bird In Hand is in a money area, and the clientele clearly displayed that, so I guess I may not have fitted the ideal profile but overall, a pleasant stay and lovely food.

We stayed here when attending a wedding reception close by. All the staff we dealt with were mega friendly and impressively helpful, from the check in staff, bar staff and breakfast staff - you should all be really proud. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Although we didn’t eat in the restaurant off the breakfast menu and food was anything to go by I’m sure the restaurant food would be stunning. Has to be one of the best breakfasts I’ve had. Many thanks for a great stay

We stayed here with some friends from the Midlands on 20th April, rooms 5 & 7. We arrived just before they stopped serving lunch, which was handy as we hadn’t had a chance to get anything. Lunch was excellent. As many reviewers have mentioned you will probably need to book for dinner. Our friends had to book a table for 6pm. A bit earlier than we’d normally eat but it wasn’t a problem. Dinner was amazing and we were able to stay at our table chatting for most of the evening before retiring to the bar. Many beers and vino callapsos followed until a young lady popped her head around the corner to say they were going home - oops we’d lost track of time. Sorry guys. Our room was large and the bed comfy. The shower was great too. Couldn’t fault the breakfast. The staff were helpful and attentive. The following day we popped over to Burford, always worth a visit. Thanks for a great weekend and hope to see you soon.

We held my Mothers birthday lunch today at The Bird in Hand there were 19 of us. A warm friendly atmosphere excellent service and wonderful fresh food. Most had roasts the meat was tender and plenty of fresh vegetables Thank you to the whole team for having us we will return
