Harbourside Holiday Park

Hey Campers Harbourside Holiday Park is a ripperty beauty camp and I loved every minute of my stay I met up with lots of people who hardly complained about the amenities provided by Mike and Jane. People I came across came from England, Europe and of course NZ! There are a couple of stayers and one is Dave who provides the music for the Whiti Markets on Saturday and the other is John who runs a bus for schoolkids and then migrates to Hamilton Island over winter. I cant thank Mike and Jane enough for all their help and support during my stay. Come holiday season there is a great vibe at the Holiday Park and the kids who come from all parts of NZ are just like magnets to each other and the noise they make is one of happiness what with the pool and the safe scooter avenues onsite. A shout out to Eric and Jill (campers as well) for a lot of things including damn good meals to share. The bird life is also something to mention. Every morning a tui rings out just before sunrise, there are fantails (piwakawake), ducks and of course the ubiqitous seagulls.

They would get top marks but Internet is way below what one can expect nowadays. You get 100 MB per night but this is used up - I am sure - long before reaching the 100. Luckily I have unlimited data on my phone and could set up a hotspot as additional data would have been very expensive. I stayed in the one bedroom with bathroom cabin which was nice. I could not get the TV to work but did not go and ask. The pool is nice and there is comfortable seating next to the pool.

The cabin was minimal as it had only beds and a fridge. The advertised bathroom was in fact a shared campground facility. Be careful when booking and read the details carefully or you may not get what you think you are booking. Looks like a good place for campervans though.

Our family spent 5 nights at Harbourside Holiday Park, we had the most fantastic time, the park was ideal for families, our children spent most of their time in the pool with the other children, riding their bikes or hanging at the playground. Judy and Mike do a great job running the park and also making sure it is safe and family friendly. They both work so hard each day and you can see how passionate they are about the place. We were here several years ago and can see the upgrades that have been done. Highly recommend and our family will be back. Thank you Mike and Judy

Fantastic location easy walk to town. Very friendly team. Dog friendly :) Loved our stay. Only downside is pool only open from 10am so our son was sad he couldn't have a swim before departing. However pool was lovely and clean and good depth. We will be back again!

Couldn’t be more grateful for the owners of this place! Due to an unfortunate tyre blow out myself and partner were unable to get to our location for the night. We were looking for somewhere close to the tyre place as our spare was also flat but it was past 7pm in the evening so repairs could only happen the next day. We phoned the out of ours number at the reception of this campsite and were so grateful that it was answered and we were able to get a powered site at such short notice! The facilities here were clean, kitchen lovely to cook in and the actual site itself was well looked after. A shame we were only passing through and couldn’t stay longer but felt very safe and looked after due to the kindness of the owners. Couldn’t recommend anywhere better to stay in this area!
