Hotel berhampiran Ripley＇s Camp, Windhoek

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Livega. Our suite was spacious, very comfortable and impeccably clean. The staff was so very kind. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. Internet worked very well. The shower was large with plenty of hot water. Please be advised that there are many steps and no elevator.

Well located hotel on the main street of windhoek where supposedly it is the busiest with stores, fastfood, restaurants, ”malls”, banks. the hotel's cafe service was quite slow though.

We stayed for 1 night at the start of our Namibia adventure - 2 rooms, 2 couples. The hotel was chosen based on our friends having HH points and my husband & I having used Hilton for business many times. Our expectation was good quality, functional, not 5 star at a fair price. The hotel achieved that. The room was huge, clean and more than we required. Roof top pool, not used, but looked nice. Roof top bar fine & not priced at a premium. We ate out but breakfast was good. No additional charge for drinks? Useful also to be able to park our hire car here. All i would say is that I preferred previously staying in a couple of B&B’s at the start / end of a holiday, as the corporate nature of a Hilton loses some charm when on holiday. However, absolutely no complaints, clean, safe, friendly & central.

Hay dos hoteles Hilton, uno al lado del otro. De un lobby al otro lobby se tarda 1 minuto caminando. El hotel es nuevo. Las habitaciones son amplias. La cama es cómoda. El baño tiene buena presión de agua. La recepción del wifi es muy buena. La pisicina se ubica en el primer piso. El gym está cerrado, pero te dan la opción de usar el gym del otro Hilton. El desayuno es básico: Té, café, huevos, salchichas, fruta y panes. Yo escribí al hotel para preguntar si tenían opciones sin gluten y me respondieron que sí. Al llegar no tenían opciones sin gluten. El último día de mi estancia fueron al otro Hilton y me trajeron un poco de pan sin gluten. La ubicación del hotel es buena, a pasos de una de las calles principales con centros comerciales y restaurantes, la iglesia alemana, el Edificio que Corea del Norte hizo a Windohek y algunas cafeterías. Las habitaciones son insonorizadas, con lo cual es muy tranquilo y se duerme muy bien. Las fotos que salen en Trip.com las deben actualizar, ya varias corresponden al otro Hotel Hilton. A mall is next door but you need to taxi to see any sites. Outlets are strangely hidden behind furniture which makes it inconvenient to charge your phone. The remote for the TV and A/C is bizarrely given to you with the room key, it should stay in the room. And thus the a/c was not on when I entered the room. The free bottles water was not the fridge where I could have had cold water waiting for me. The behind the bed lamp takes the room lighting from dim yellow to natural white yet it doesn't stay on for long and would start flickering. The ceiling light is in your eyes when you're lying in bed looking at your phone. I found a roach in my room so I shouldn't have left my suitcase open. Bedsheets had a blood stain on them. There's no room for towels in the bedroom so it took me a minute to find them in the room. No solid hand soap for sink, just body wash in a tube. Towel had stains on it, bathroom mirror is too low, its next to the sink. it should be a few inches higher. Rate is $51 a night for a single room, they they charge extra per child. Don't get a room on the first floor. The hotel doesn't have umbrellas for guests. The restaurant menu does not have a meat free pasta option for vegetarians. They have a whole seafood section but not a vegetarian option. The alfredo pasta was more like a cheddar soup. Service is slow in restaurant, then asked if I wanted to leave a tip. They had an impressive collection of cakes. For breakfast they put the salami together with the cheese, cucumber and tomatoes and only one tong. I don't want to eat a cucumber that's touching meat. The mushrooms were burnt beyond recognition. Only canned fruit was served at breakfast. I liked the passion fruit welcome drink when I arrived at the hotel.

Very spacious room and good rate. Value for money. Nespresso coffee machine is a nice touch. Good bed, bedding and TV is working well. Efficient bar fridge. Nice little patio outside with small table and chairs to have a beer and overlooking the swimming pool. Restaurant staff are friendly. They could however pay more attention to serving customers more regular but it's really not a big issue at all. I was served cold beer, great wine and delicious food. I can recommend the game loin!! Safe undercover parking. Golf course fairways are not in a great state but it's because it hasn't rained enough and they can't use water otherwise for irrigation which is commendable.
