Hera Zakynthos Hotel

Wifi auf den Zimmern Katastrophe. Wände sehr hellhörig. Einrichtung abgenutzt. Stechmücken ohne Ende. Nicht mal nur zum schlafen geeignet.

We can definitely recommend this hotel. Didn't really know what to expect as it said it only had 2 stars, but we only really needed a bed & a shower. It exceeded our expectations. Very close to the airport, 2 shops within 5 mins walk. Just over 20 mins to all restaurants and other fun. Our room was clean so was the pool and all the other areas. No problem getting a sunbed at any time of a day. There's plenty. Bar food and drinks are very reasonably priced. We only had the Greek salad there as we wanted to eat out. Maria organised everything for us! From taxis, boat trips to booking a table in restaurants. She recommended 3 places Aperitto, Spartakos and Hamsa. All great. We also had the traditional gyros and a local fish platter on the main ***** in Laganas. 7 days wasn't enough and we're hoping to visit again. Thanks again Maria & the team. This is a great little hotel! Maria is absolutely hilarious and extremely friendly, as are the rest of the family who work here. Nice size pool, decent food and great price for what you get. The hotel is some distance from the beach, however you get used to it during your stay. Rooms were cleaned each day with fresh towels. Recommend this hotel!

Where do I start my partner and I were completely mislead about this hotel from previous reviews we thought we had got a great wee cheapy holiday! We arrived home 14.09.2023 1. The bathroom was so tiny and so run down you could barely move in the shower. 2. There was no hot water apparently you have to run the tap in the kitchen to even get look warm water we never had a proper shower the whole week. 3. I had emailed the hotel a month before and asked for a pool side room we were in a room at the front entrance with a farm across the road full of chickens,goats and dogs. 4. The dogs barked all night long we didn’t get one decent night sleep we honesty couldn’t wait to get home this was our biggest issue overall 5. I have never came home with so many bits ever 6. 30 minute walk to the ***** and if you get a taxi even if it’s 2 minutes, 5 minutes or 10 minutes it’s 10 euro 7. The only good things about our holiday was that the food at the hotel was reasonably priced and nice and the pool side was nice and no fighting over beds. 8. Air on was 10 euro a day please check your room first before buying it as you may not need it. 9. We only got one electric key card and one key I honestly never really leave reviews or pay much attention to them but we had this booked for nearly a year and was looking so forward to it to be extremely let down.

Booked this hotel within 24 hours; and how lucky were we! We arrived at 5am and shown to our poolside 2 bedroom apartment. All newly tastefully renovated, efficient AC, comfy beds, 2 flat screen tvs. It was immaculately clean with daily fresh towels and linen. Maria - always smiley; couldn’t do enough for us. Pool bar staff were lovely with a good variety of food and drink. Pool had a relaxed atmosphere with a mixture of nationalities of couples, families and well behaved single sex groups (security through the night ensures everyone had an undisturbed night). It took us 30 mins to walk into the hustle and bustle of Laganas, so hotel is situated in a quiet rural area. The kitchenette wasn’t massive and had everything you needed except I would’ve liked a toaster. Would definitely recommend staying at Hera. Thanks.

Thank you to all at hera we had a very relaxing fantastic stay with you, nothing was too much trouble, all staff very friendly accommodation 5* cleaned room every day,if I gave her chance it was so clean didn't need doing daily 😀 pool excellent very clean, good food served from the bar, Maria really what can I say she is a superstar & all the family equally as nice, yes it's a walk to the ***** I clocked the time & it's 16 mins to the start of the *****, never been to Greece before but we will return especially to hera hotel, loved our stay, thanks again Carrie & doug 😘
