We had a great stay at the Capricorn. The room was really nice (top floor and view over Zermatt) and the spa with outdoor hot tub/pool was excellent. Superb breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well situated within easy walk of the town centre and Sunegga ski lifts. We would definitely stay again.

A gem!! Ideally located to explore the town of Zermatt and the surrounding countryside. The staff/proprietors were very welcoming and helpful. The entire facility was spotlessly clean. Bed very comfortable. Our room had a view of the Matterhorn and a shared balcony area to relax and watch the sun go down. Breakfast delicious. The Wellness suite was a lovely surprise. Again immaculately clean. Two variations of sauna and a good sized steam room. Outdoor bubble pool with a view of the Matterhorn. Couldn't ask for better. There were even reusable water bottles supplied to take with you on your adventures. Bottles could be purchased or returned. Great idea. We will definitely return.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Hotel Capricorn, and had a great stay. Even though there were only two of us, we ended up booking the Matterhorn suite due to availability. The cost of the suite was very affordable in comparison to other hotels in Zermatt. The room had a king bed downstairs, a large bathroom, and mini-fridge. Upstairs was a loft with another king bed and a single bed. Outside was a large balcony overlooking the Matterhorn. The hotel offered complimentary breakfast, spa from 4:30-7:30, 24 hr coffee, and ski storage. As I mentioned, all these extras are included with the stay. The spa has outdoor jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, red light therapy, and plenty of lounge chairs. Great way to unwind after hitting the mountains. We highly recommend the hotel Capricorn for families, couples, or small group of friends.

We LOVED staying at the Hotel Capricorn. No glitz or glamour, it’s a down-to-earth quiet, cozy, comfortable, clean, and friendly boutique hotel. It’s an easy walk to the train station, shops, restaurants, Old Town, and the various ski lifts. The ski room was clean and comfortable for donning/doffing your equipment. The heated boots racks were delightful. We enjoyed recapping our day in the lounge with a beverage from the self-service wine, beer, and soda bar. The free wellness spa was top notch. What could be better than watching the sunset from the outdoor whirlpool or sitting in the sauna, infrared sauna, or the steam room? The free breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh fruit, hard and soft cheeses, meats, breads, cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and assorted toppings for yogurt, muesli, and oatmeal. There were items for gluten-free or lactose-intolerant guests. Most importantly, the staff were top-notch. Everyone made you feel welcome. Even the cleaning staff provided a daily welcome gift! The friendly receptionists were my heroes. They came to my rescue when I lost my wallet. They called various places, checked various websites, and located it! I was awe-struck as they spoke fluently in multiple languages.

They’re not kidding about the Matterhorn view from this delightful Zermatt hotel. When we arrived on a full moon just after sunset I couldn’t believe the luminous blue of this iconic snowcapped peak, front and centre of our room’s balcony. The room was also very spacious with a good sized bathroom. Capricorn seemed like a friendly place, with plenty of hiking info available, an honesty bar and coffee machine in the foyer, and plenty of shared spaces to hang around in. The bed was comfy and breakfast was great. In a quieter area of the village about 10 min walk from the train station. Highly recommended

Hotel room was spotless and comfortable, the spa was a dream to enjoy, and the mountain views from our room were second to none. Could not recommend staying here enough! Staff was incredibly kind and considerate and even allowed us to leave our bags with them for hours after check-out so that we could enjoy a trip up to the Matterhorn prior to leaving. 5 Star experience and for the price I'd argue it's unbeatable. Fantastic facilities, wonderful employees, and a comfortable and cozy room.

We requested for firm pillows and the memory foam pillows we were given were the best on this trip! The views from the hotel were fantastic (tho we couldn't get the Matterhorn facing rooms). The hotel is quiet and peaceful all times of the day and easily accessible.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Capricorn. The staff was helpful and attentive, allowing early check in and recommending restaurants in Zermatt and near the Gornergrat. The breakfast was outstanding in every way, with an excellent choice of food and drink and plenty of space for guests. The room had a wonderful view of the Matterhorn from the patio and we spent a lot of time taking pictures as the sun rose and and even just looking in awe. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well appointed.
