The hotel was quite strange. Upon arrival there was no staff and we had to do self check in. We were a group of 5 people with 3 rooms. We were let into the hotel via the intercom. The computer at the desk required a booking reference or QR code. Our hotel had been booked through a travel agent and we hadn’t been provided with either. So instead we had to manually input each persons details into the computer. This took absolutely ages! After travelling for quite a long time this was the last thing we wanted to spend time doing! The rooms were fairly compact, especially the bathroom. The hotel seems to have spent a lot of money on branded items in the rooms including a yoga matt and other random things - it would be better to have more staff in my opinion! The beds were very comfy though and an actual double bed instead of two singles pushed together. There was also a coffee machine in the room. Breakfast was very basic and seemed understaffed as a lot of things had run out. Again for check out there was no staff at the desk do we had to self check out via the emailed invoice - this didn’t work as we had to pay the city tax so I used the phone at the desk to do this. The location of the hotel is a bit out of the centre but is easily accessed (if you have luggage) using the number 7 tram at the main railway station otherwise it is walkable. Have given this 3 stars due to the lack of staff and it being so impersonal!

It seems clear to me that the quality of customer service in travel has greatly deteriorated in the last three years. I understand that service providers have trouble finding and retaining people and the ones they have often don’t seem to take pride in their work. Sadly, I’ve come to accept this as the “new normal.” Which is why our recent three-night stay at the Park Hyatt in Zurich was such a welcome surprise. Not only was our room clean and comfortable but the service we received, from start to finish, was efficient and personal. Just a few examples: We had a flight delay and airport transfer difficulty arriving to Zurich and did not get to the hotel until after 1:00. The gentleman working the front desk who checked us in, got us waters, helped with our bags and personally escorted us to our rooms. He was also working the next night when we returned to the hotel after dinner. He spotted us coming through the lobby and literally ran over from the front desk, greeted us by name and asked if our room was acceptable and if there was anything he could do for us. The housekeeping staff are a bunch of ninjas. You never saw their carts in the hall but we’d leave in the morning and when we returned in the afternoon the room was made up. Perfectly. We’d leave for dinner and when we returned the room was turned down. Perfectly. We had drinks the first night at the Onyx Bar. When we returned the next night, the bartender remembered both our names and our drinks. We interacted on several occasions with the daytime concierge. I wish I remembered his name. It wasn’t just that he was knowledgeable about Zurich and responded immediately to our requests. He acted like speaking to us was the absolute highlight of his day. I know these are all little things but they added up to a wonderful stay. Plus, the hotel couldn’t be more conveniently located. Staying at the Park was a luxury item for us but, let’s face it, traveling anywhere in Switzerland is a luxury item. I would return to the Park for their level of personal service in a minute.

Stayed for 2D1N. Comfortable and spacious room. One tram down to the hb station. There are a lot of restaurants downstairs so no worries if you wanna settle on your meals nearby. They gave us cute Lindt lady bugs chocolates for our honeymoon trip , really appreciate their gestures! Breakfast was really simple tho. Other than that everything’s fine for this hotel👍🏻

The hotel is RIGHT IN FRONT of the main Central Train station. Behind the hotel is the shopping belt and the old town where you can walk to see the various architectural buildings. The staff there were helpful especially in the early morning getting me a taxi to the airport. Cleaning staff replenishes the toiletries daily without fail. Is a great hotel location and place to stay in Zurich.

Looking for a hotel in Zurich that's a cut above the rest? Look no further than Central Plaza! Our recent stay there was absolutely exceptional - from the moment we stepped through the doors, we were blown away by the level of service we received. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed, with a special shoutout to Sebastian for his outstanding assistance in retrieving a lost item and sending it back to our home country. The team's attention to detail and dedication to quality service was apparent in every aspect of our stay, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. If you're in the market for a convenient hotel stay in Zurich, Central Plaza is the way to go!

We stayed in both the main hotel and in the guesthouse across the alley and were quite satisfied if both facilities knowing they been renovated within the last year. The main hotel is right around the corner from Zürich HB the rooms feature a nice private bath (new, big & clean) and nice modern styling. The guesthouse as new and stylish as hotels go, but the modular bath/shower unit with its semi-transparent blue glass leaves a lot to be desired when everyone in the room knows what your doing on toilet (very little privacy). We luckily are prepared and carry large binder clips and clipped a bath towel across the glass during our stay. The staff are amazing and extremely cordial. Free coffee/tea is offered 24/7 in the main hotel and on each floor. Guest house residents must go back across the alley to the main lobby. Day tour buses are right across the street for easy access. We would stay again definitely.

Me alojé en este encantador hotel de época, que aunque un poco anticuado, se encontraba en excelente estado de conservación. La ubicación es inmejorable, situado en el casco antiguo de Zúrich, a pocos pasos de los principales atractivos turísticos y a metros de la estación de trenes. Esto hizo que mi estancia fuera muy conveniente y me permitió explorar fácilmente la ciudad. El ambiente cálido y clásico le daba un toque especial a la estancia. El desayuno ofrecido era básico pero satisfactorio, incluyendo opciones continentales como manteca, queso y mermeladas, aunque el jugo de naranja no era natural. Sin embargo, un aspecto que encontré un tanto desagradable fue la rigidez de algunas reglas establecidas por los dueños, quienes son personas mayores y, aunque atentos, parecían aferr**** a ciertas costumbres anticuadas. Si bien esto no afectó mi experiencia en gran medida, creo que sería útil para futuros huéspedes tener en cuenta este detalle. En general, recomiendo este hotel a aquellos que busquen un alojamiento con encanto y una ubicación privilegiada en el corazón de Zúrich, siempre y cuando estén dispuestos a aceptar algunas reglas anticuadas

This is a true four-star hotel: it was recently renovated so you can see that everything (decor, common areas, etc.) is new. The hotel is in the hearth of Zurich (I know the city well and can assure you that it is 100% Downtwon). In case you arrive by train you can walk to the hotel from Zurich Main Station, in our case we arrived by car and the hotel offers an agreement with the Urania parking (4-5 minutes walk) for only CHF 30 per day. I can assure you that for being Switzerland this is a very competitive price. We had booked two single rooms, exactly as described on their website. The rooms, as expected, were not very large but the bed was very comfortable and there were all the amenities one might expect from a 4-star hotel (including fruit and free coffee and water). Very nice bathroom with a very comfortable walk in shower. Sleep quality very good: I did not hear any noise. Breakfast was very varied with quality products also from the Zurich region. Very friendly staff. Definitely recommended.
