AAnonymous UserEnjoyed our stay so much that we booked an extra night to rest and roam around before our flight. Super convenient access to the airport rail. Y13 exit has a ramp, escalator, and elevator. East Gate of Taipei Main Station, where Klook tours depart, is also just a short walk away so that was a big plus. My husband enjoyed the latte from the free coffee machine. Great beef noodle (Liu Shandong) and stinky tofu place (Ah Qua) also nearby. Highly recommended at the price point. Will stay again. Guests who have difficulty walking and using the stairs might want to reconsider.
AAlexMaeSantosWalking distance to Taipei Main Station
Lots of stores outside
Has elevator
Open 24/7 you can just barge in and out anytime
Free water, tea, some milk tea
Clean showers/bathroom no bidet tho but atleast the bowl was the usual ones
You can rent towels
Quiet depends on people actually, the people I stayed with was quite got some attitude
You can leave your baggage there prior to your check in
Have some cabinet for you but big luggage cannot fit in so just let it stay in the room near to your bed
AAnonymous UserLocation: 5/5 – Nothing to complain about. The metro entrance is right in front of the building. However, the hotel is located on the 7th floor, so you have to share the elevator with other occupants of the building. As a result, the wait time for the elevator can sometimes be a bit long.
Room Size: 4.5/5 – The room is relatively spacious compared to other hotels in the same area.
Check-in/Check-out: Quick and efficient. However, the check-in time is 4:00 PM, which is later than most hotels, where check-in is typically between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
Public Areas: The room itself was not very makeup-friendly (there was no vanity mirror, and the yellow lighting made it difficult to apply makeup). However, the hotel provides a public makeup room with large mirrors and bright lighting, which was a great touch. I’ve never seen this at other hotels before!
SSiva Rama 256Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card.
Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes.
The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.
GGuest UserThe room was spacious and clean, and opening the curtains revealed an unbeatable sea view – perfect for enjoying the scenery. The owner was incredibly helpful, providing us with all sorts of information about Kaohsiung and anything else we wanted to know. So kind! A truly perfect experience.

GGuest UserOverall, it was a good stay, but there are a few drawbacks to consider:
1. They didn't inform me before check-in that I needed to purchase a membership card to extend my stay for a second night. Otherwise, I'd have to check out and then check in again. While it wasn't a lot of money, it left a bad impression.
2. The check-in time was a bit odd.
SShuxiaThe location is fantastic, right behind Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. The elevators and front desk area look a bit dated, but the staff were decent. They put a large bed in the room, but because the room was small and the duvet wasn't warm enough, I got cold in the middle of the night and had to turn off the air conditioning. The kettle had dust and limescale marks. However, the bathroom was really clean, and the toilet was modern. I was genuinely surprised and impressed that the shower had two types of showerheads. It's a very good budget hotel. I'd definitely consider staying here again in the future.
LLuv to travelDue to its strategic location near Ximenting, this hotel commands a price premium. However is it really value for money? Not really.
The sound proofing is really bad. We were given rooms at the 3rd floor. You can clearly hear the noise from traffic below and even louder conversations from pedestrians along the street, including a lunatic screaming vulgar curses at the hotel from the ground floor at 2.10am.
Supposed to be equipped with laundromats (for a fee) but these were down the three days we were staying there. Breakfast was mostly Chinese selections with toasted bread and pastry choices.
Reception was robotic, no smiles, all following an SOP which they don’t deviate from. All your questions have been anticipated so you should be patient and hold them. They will be answered at the end.
Honestly no one needs to stay near to Ximenting for the entire trip, with subway and public transport so convenient. And you don’t go there every night so cast your net wider and you have more choices with better service and comfort.

My stay at Hotelday Hualien was a bit of a mixed bag. It has some genuinely charming touches and a great view, but its location and certain amenities require some adjustment.
Location & Transportation: The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the Hualien Train Station, which is fantastic if you're arriving by rail. However, I soon realized that the train station is not the city center. The main downtown area is a significant distance away—about a 40-minute walk. This means you'll either need to plan for long walks or rely on taxis and buses to get to the main dining and night market areas. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to be aware of.
The Room: The room itself was a highlight. It was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The best feature was the large window that faced the train station, with a stunning backdrop of the mountains. It was incredibly scenic and made the room feel bright and open. While the room was comfortable, I did notice that the overall design and some of the furniture felt a bit dated. It's clean and functional, but don't expect a super modern aesthetic.
Amenities & Service: This is where the experience was a bit uneven. The gym was quite disappointing. It only had a stationary bicycle and a treadmill. There were no weights, no multi-gym, nothing for anyone hoping for even a basic strength workout. It felt more like an afterthought than a proper facility.
On the other hand, the service had some truly thoughtful highlights. When we asked for ice, the hotel staff kindly delivered some to our room, which was a nice touch.
The Special Touch: The most memorable part of the stay was a small, heartwarming gesture. The hotel provided us with complimentary postcards. The unique part? They offered to mail them for us, but not right away. They will send them exactly one year later. It's a lovely idea—a little time capsule from your trip that arrives as a surprise in the future.
Overall: Hotelday Hualien offers spacious, comfortable rooms with beautiful mountain views, and its proximity to the train station is a plus for travelers. The thoughtful service, like the ice delivery and the ”postcard to your future self” program, adds a warm, personal touch. However, the distance from the city center and the very basic gym are drawbacks. It's a solid choice for a comfortable night's sleep near the station, especially if you appreciate sentimental gestures, but be prepared for the travel time to the main attractions.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is pretty good, close to the MRT station, and there are several convenience stores right outside.
However, what I really need to complain about is the bizarre placement of the showerhead in the bathroom! You can't stand and shower comfortably, and the water inevitably sprays all over the toilet seat and toilet paper (even with the shower curtain drawn properly). Even more horrifying, the hot water is incredibly difficult to regulate; it suddenly blasts out scalding hot water (not just warm).
