A building as beautiful as the art it holds.

The Bangkok Art And Culture Center is a huge multi level gallery and exhibition space across the road from the MBK center, accessible from siam & national stadium BTS stations. The center is free to enter and fully air conditioned, so it’s a good place to cool down and recharge yourself. It has various fixed exhibitions and things that change seasonally, when I went there was exhibitions about tourism, nature & Thailand’s diplomatic relations with the United States. The lower floors have smaller galleries and small cafes, shops and craft stalls around the escalator banks, you can get everything from sushi to ice cream and offers quite a nice variety of independent options compared to the streets outside. The main galleries are on the upper levels 7-9, and this is where you can really feel the scale of the building - it is beauifully constructed and the building itself becomes an art exhibit. I was really impressed by the curves of the building, and the walkway snaking around a big open atrium. Looking down you can see all the floors and the windows on the upper levels have great views of central Bangkok.
