Tsinghua University, a higher education institution many students dream of attending

Tsinghua University, founded in 1911 and originally known as 'Tsinghua College', is one of the most renowned universities in China. The university is situated in the lush and shaded Tsinghua Garden. Originally a royal garden, its pavilions, towers, and bridges are beautifully reflected in the lakes and trees, creating an extremely picturesque environment. The western part of the campus is the old area, characterized by its American-style layout and numerous Western-style brick and stone structures, giving it an elegant and historically rich atmosphere. The eastern part of the campus was built in the 1950s, with the Soviet-style main building as the centerpiece. Since the 1990s, new buildings such as department buildings, a comprehensive sports hall, a swimming pool, and Zijing apartments have been constructed around the main building. These buildings are majestic and grand, yet quiet and comfortable. The campus is open to visitors during weekends, public holidays, and the summer and winter vacations. The visiting hours are divided into two sessions: 9:00 and 14:00. During the summer and winter vacations, Mondays are campus maintenance days, and the campus is closed to the public. If there are internal adjustments, rescheduling of classes, major events, or extreme weather conditions that make it unsuitable for opening, campus visits will also be temporarily suspended.
