The water flows around it, and the gentlemen are all around.

The "Lianxi Lechu Scenic Area" is one of the Forty Scenic Spots of the Yuanmingyuan in the Qing Dynasty, located to the northwest of "Shuimu Mingshe", and was built during the Yongzheng period. This scenic spot was originally a lake island scenic area surrounded by mountains and rivers, and is the largest garden in the Yuanmingyuan. The original main hall was hung with the "Shenxiu Yongsi" plaque on the outer eaves, and the "Lianxi Lechu" plaque on the inner eaves, both of which were imperial pens in the fourth year of Qianlong (1739). The name of Lianxi Lechu comes from "On the Love of the Lotus" by Zhou Dunyi, a great Confucian scholar in the Northern Song Dynasty (who was respectfully called Mr. Lianxi). In 1860 and 1900, this scenic spot was burned twice and was almost completely destroyed. The site was opened after cleaning in 2012.
