Even if you've never been to China or don't know much about it, you probably know this place. Tiananmen Square in Beijing, one of the largest public squares in the world. It's historically significant and houses important buildings like the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, Tiananmen Gate, and the Great Hall of the People. So many people, people, people!!! You will witness the sheer number of China's population. The entrance has strict security checks, just like at an airport. And don't forget your passport! It's a must! Despite the crowd, the wait time to enter wasn't too long, which was nice. Inside, if you take your time to look around, it's quite spacious and you could spend several hours there. You can also exit from the back side.
